Chapter 23! Tilla VS Zabuza! Part 2: The Demoness Returns!

By the time I got to the bridge, everything had already turned around.

Kakashi-sensei and Kurenai were fighting that Hiruyamaich guy. And Guy-sensei and what's-his-name bald guy? Whatever.

The others fought Zabuza and Haku-chan under a mask. Or rather, Zabuza's clones were playing with them.

Here I see Kakashi-sensei falling to his knees and holding his head. What's wrong with him?

- Shit he created Raikiri and pounced on Kurenai, who was bound by the bonds of darkness. Here Kakashi realizes what he's doing and can't stop.

Kakashi's POV.

We went to defend Team 8 and the bridge with the rest of our large group.

When we got there, we saw Kurenai, caught in some shadowy ropes. And her cadets were lying on the bridge, all covered in ice needles. But it looked like they were alive. The needles hadn't hit any vital organs.

And next to them were the ones we feared. Zabuza and her friends. But there was another guy with them in a mask.

-Kakashi! You're finally here! -she turned to me by the demoness.

I didn't answer her, and immediately stopped my charges.

-Guy, you distract Zabuza and Kuro. I'll take care of Tengo. Kurenai tied up his shadow manipulation."-Gai nodded and got into a stance.

-You guys have to protect Tazuna and the other genies! -Said I, to which they nodded.

-Ho duel with a copying ninja? This should be interesting! -Tengo stepped forward.

-The green beast of Konoha? They say you're a master of taijutsu! I'm going to prove that the use of edged weapons is better than hand-to-hand combat! Don't interfere! -said Takeru Kuro.

And so it began. Hiruyama Tengo and I started to fight. I had a kunai and he had a wakizashi.

We tried to reach important points. But we both ducked at the last moment.

Tengo lunged at me with his weapon, I prepared to deflect. He smirked and folded his seal. Suddenly, it was as dark as tar in a ten meter radius. I couldn't see or hear anything. So this is his famous "Total Darkness" technique!

Suddenly I felt him attacking from behind, I dodged, but a scratch was left on my shoulder. I lifted the blindfold up and looked with my Sharingan. Everything cleared up, and now I could see through the technique.

My opponent attacked again and when I was able to dodge, he realized that the technique was useless and dispelled it.

I couldn't think straight, I started hallucinating in my head. How my father died, Obito, and how I killed Rin. I grabbed my head and fell to my knees. They appeared in front of me and blamed me.

-Why did you kill me? -Rin.

-Kakashi, you couldn't keep your promise! -You didn't protect Rin! -Obito.

-I'm sorry! I'm sorry! -I repeated, and tears came out of my eyes. But then the image of my student appeared in my mind.

How he had said to Guy that I must go on living, putting my past behind me!

Yes. Then I just moved to the roof of the house and overheard their conversation.

He's right! I have to live and let go of my past.

But he ducked at the last moment, and there was Kurenai behind him!

No! NO! NO! This can't be happening! Not again! I closed my eyes. Would I kill my comrade again?

But... at some point, my hand was grabbed and I was forcefully stopped. I opened my eyes and saw my ward.

-Kakashi-sensei! You finally managed to let go of your past! -Tila smiled!

-And now, I won't let you relive that suffering again!

I was able to dispel the technique and stood up.

-Kakashi-sensei you must save your comrades.-He said, turning his back to me. In that cloak...-he looked so much like a teacher!

My dragon opened its mouth and blew out a wave of fire. I didn't want to hurt Zabuza, but I wouldn't let my friends get hurt either!

-Damn! -Zabuza saw the wave of fire quickly began to fold seals. And the wave of fire was stopped by a stream of water.

After the steam dissipated, everyone could see how the Dragon was damaged and falling apart. Zabuza had used a very powerful technique. But now she had wasted a lot of chakra and was gulping for air with her mouth.

She nevertheless took her big sword and attacked me. I began to dodge and deflect the blows. While I was dodging, I saw the Genins come out of that dome and start helping Kakashi and Gai by throwing kunai at their opponents or releasing long-range techniques.

Hiruyama and the bald one, realizing that Zabuza was very weak, began slowly retreating toward her.

They stood behind her and waited.

-Damn! Zabuza look out!!! -shouted me and let the lightning bolt out of my hands.

Zabuza turned to her comrades and opened her eyes in surprise. All because, Hiruyamych had already attacked her with a vakizashi.

But at the last moment, she was pushed away by Haku.

The wakizashi slashed Haku's chest. Blood spurted out and Haku fell backwards. My attack hit Kuro, preventing him from attacking, but he managed to repel it with his katana. They both jumped far away and smirked.

-It's a shame they couldn't kill two birds with one stone,‖ Tengo Hiruyama smirked.

-Why?!!!? -Shouted with tears in her eyes Zabuza, holding Haku in her arms. Haku only smiled, and slowly closed her eyes. Zabuza checked her pulse and made sure she was alive. But it felt very faint.
