Chapter Seven

After a week of the smaller battles, I found myself getting darker. I killed my enemies with less hesitation and with great ferocity. Some moments in battle my mind would seem to go blank or snap. When I would come to I'd see the devistation I left behind me. At this point in the war if the people in my way weren't family or my own soldiers I didn't care who I slayed. There was this young general about the same age I was when I first came to this world in front of me. Like my first enemy leader begged for his life when I was about to kill him.

"Why would I spare you when you don't spare the monsters you've slayen, I show no enemy mercy." I said to the general I just had stabbed through the heart.

(Point of view from Brad)

"My brother is not himself at all, he's much colder than he was weeks ago, he seems to be getting colder with each passing battle." I said my self looking over to my Brothers wife who was been with our joint army for a while. This woman has become much like an older sister to my and my own sister since we've come to this place. "Have you noticed that he's been acting not himself as of late Princess Dianna?" I asked her and she looked at me, "Yes, he's been getting darker with every kill and he's also been getting stronger with each kill too."

She said to me and we looked at my brother for a moment.

(Point of view for Jacob)

I looked at both my wife and my Brother, They both looked concerned about something. I knew I was changing but I didn't think it was that bad. When the battle that day concluded I was asked to meet with Dianna and my sibling at the Northan Demon Kingdom to speak with King Verith. Both sides for a reason not known had a week wide cease fire. This was convenite for me, since this week in the anniversiary for Dianna and myself.

So, we were going to a resort like place in the coming morning. Before that, King Verith and Lusifer gave me some haunting news. "We've have been told about your personality change and we can see your ora is also changed. We now believe that your body is being corupted by the power you've gained since your arrivel here to our world." Both of them said to me to see I had a confused look on my face. They saw this on my face, of why I was confused so Lusifer told me why.

" Everyone who are born here grows into their power, ora and Magic. So our minds grow with all of the strain that comes with it. Since you've been thrown into our world with huge amounts of magic, power and ora ablilities, your mind is breaking. You've gain so much power on top of that everytime you train and fight you get darker more of a evil version of you." As he told me that I fell to the ground for a moment.

"You're telling me that my power and magic I've gained is going to turn me into a true villain?" I asked Lusifer and he couldn't tell me what else was going to happen to me. "No one really knows what will happen to you, the last person to survive their summoning died over 300 years ago. He was the Human ruler that fell before the last great war between the humans, elves and Demons." Lusifer said to me and Dianna broke her silence saying.

That human was insane at the end of his life, he died in the end from his own hands." She was upset with them holding information back from me. King Verith sighed a bit then he said after everyone turned to him. "Yes, that is true the man was insane when he came here, he fell under the spell of his own power." King Verith looked at his daughter then he looked at me and I said to them both. "I may fall under the same maddness but I'll fight my my hardest from becoming a tyrant." King Verith smiled at me then he placed his right hand on my right shoulder and said. "I don't doubt that from you my son, I know you'll fight hard for all of us."

We talked for a while about the options I had but I didn't want my personality to change with the options I had. "If these options changed me or will change me to what i'm not I don't want to do it, I don't want my mind to be fixed that way. I'd rather be an evil me than be anyone else." Everyone around us looked concerned about me then Dianna came up to me and touched my face like she always did. "I don't want to lose the man I fell in love with either. It doesn't matter what part of you is left I just want you." King Verith looked defeated then he sighed, he then told us about the second part of why we were really summoned to the castle.

"Both sides of the war called for a cease fire for religous reason, So I thought you two would love to go on a vacation to our summer home not far from here. Rest for a couple days and come back stronger and recharged for the end of this war." King Verith then looked at my siblings, "You sister and Brother will remain here to protect and train with us." Both my siblings groaned then they walked off. Dianna and I got backed for the little trip then we headed out. When I was about to open the door to leave King Verith pulled me aside and told me something.

"There is a magic stone in the black lake near the vacation home. It can grant any wish bond to this world but the stone is almost imposible to find. In my 5000 years of life I've looked for it but I've never seen it or heard of anyone finding it. I highly doubt you'll find it but it's hope and you're luckier than I am with most." I left after that heading to the vacation home, When I was getting into the carraige I was handed my luggage by Leera and spira. "Where you two going sir, Lady Dianna sure did pack a bit of clothing?" Leera asked me looking right into my eyes to see if I'd lie. Then I told her that it was for a vacation but she looked right through me for that being the only reason.

"I know that was part true, what is the other reason for this vacation in the middle of this war?" Leera said to me, I chuckled a bit then I as I said to her. "Yeah, but don't worry to much about that, both of you, it's nothing bad. This trip might help me with something I have going on in my head." Both spira and Leera left there questions in their heads and I left with Dianna. I had to get back the front gate of the castle after leaving my home. I still had not moved into dianna's room yet even though it's been a full year since I married her. "I do wish you'd just move in to my room Jacob my dear, then we could leave on time."

Dianna said to me sounding like a wife for the first time ever, She was staring at me for a moment then she looked back at my manor and saw my workers. "I can't leave them behind my love, you know that." I said to her and she smiled when she got into the carriage. I sat across from her like I always did but this time she looked annoyed. "You can sit next to me my dear, you're my husband after all." she said tapping the seat next to her. I got up and I sat next to her and I said making her blush a bit. "I wanted to get a full view of my lovely wife, but you holding on to my arm is nice too." She leaned in and gave me a kiss on my left cheek.

"Sometimes you can say the most corney and romantic things, makes me wonder why you never found a woman before me." We sat close to each other like that for a while, Then the driver pulled away and we headed to the vacation home. It took about an hour or so, So I took a small nap on dianna's lap. She walked out the window as I slept, she was thinking about the war. I could feel her petting my head softly like I was a cat. It was weird but it was nice and calming for me, that feeling put me to sleep for a while.

(Dianna's Point of View)

"This human always looks so peacefull when he sleeps next to me. He smells nice which is weird for me since he was always in the middle of the battles. His body is also full of scars and beat up, so why does he smell good? I can also really see how muscular he really is with him like this." I said talking to myself, I then placed my hand on his back and he flinched a bit but setteled down. "I'm sorry you have to fight so hard for everyone my dear." I said to him almost waking him up, then is his sleep he said back to me. "It's worth it," Then Jacob snored a bit and for some reason it made me laugh a bit.

(Jacob's Point of View)

After an hour of a nice nap, Dianna woke me up, She tapped my nose then said loudly. "Hey we are here Jacob, Wake up my dear!" I slowley sat up and used my cleaing spell to freshen myself up before we stepped out. "Is that how you're so clean, you made a spell to do it for you?" Dianna asked me and I smiled, "Your world doesn't have what my world calls a shower or a proper bath, I had to come up with something. Later I can show you how to cast it yourself when we are alone Dianna." I said to her as we stepped to the ground.

When I looked up from the ground I saw the smaller but just as beautiful vacation home by the lake. It was still bigger than my home but it was so cool I forgot to check the lake out. when I looked at the lake it looked like a dark black oil flowing in the water. It was strange looking but something about it looked inticing to me. Then I heard the door open and a flash of colors went passed my towards Dianna. Without thinking my body moved and I got in between the colors and Dianna. I felt two sets of hands try to move me but they couldn't, I looked down to see two young looking Demon girls glaring at me. One had black hair and purple eyes and the other had blonde hair and green eyes.

"Jacob you can let these two passed you, these two are old friends of mine from when I was little." Dianna said to me and I let them by, "Yes my love, they just spooked me a bit." I said back to Dianna making the girls look back at me while they reached Dianna. Then behind me I heard a female voice say, "Is this the man who married our princess Dianna?" I spun around to see two more Demon servants walking to us. The woman who spoke up came right up to me and stared at me.

it was very uncomfertable but I didn't make it known to her. Then her counter part a man came up to us and held out his hand. "Sir, my name is Ran Dar, this woman staring at you is my darling wife Ran Farra. Those two over there with Dianna are Coca and Ferro." Mr. Ran said to me shaking my hand, "Nice you meet you all, I'm Jacob and you don't need to call me sir." I told him and he gave me a weird look. At that moment is when Dianna came over to greet the older Demons who where with me.

"Dar, Farra hope you've both been doing good, I'm sorry for taking so long to return." Dianna said to both of them bowing her head to them. Ran waved her off and said, "No, no Princess we been fine without you around. With you being busy with life we never really thought you'd stop by till after the war." Mr. Ran said to her and those two talked for a while, while Mrs. Ran took me on a tour of the place and showed me some of the best spots that were here. From there I was showen the kitchen to the backyard that over looked the black lake. The water looked even closer from the back yard In think it was less than fifty yards away from the house.

I watched the setting sun touch the water like a red ruby on a black ring, just beautiful. I stood there for a moment till the sun when all the way down and the moon began to rise. Then Mrs. Ran said to me, "I wondered why she married a Human man, I can see why now, you have a wonderful heart and a curious mind." I smiled at what she said and I replied with, "Yeah Dianna says that all the time about why she loves me." After that moment we went back inside the house, it was time for dinner. When I came into the dinning room I saw dianna and the servants setting the table. All of the servants looked at me and I smiled at them but they all glared at me.

"You guys can sit with us for dinner as well, my servants at my home do when I make them dinner." I said to them and they all looked shocked with that request from me. "He makes dinner for his servants himself atleast once or twice a week. I know he's a strange one but he's not from our world. So his ways are very different than our ways." Dianna said to everyone and the four I meet, Mr. Ran asked her. "Is he the one that our King summoned?" Dianna shook her head "No" Then she said, "He was summoned by the Dark Elf King Thange in the south and he lived their for three months. His siblings were the ones that were summoned by my father."

Mr. Ran looked at his wife and the she gave hime a funny look. "How strong is Jacob, from our eye's he's not even stronger than our girls here?" Mr. Ran asked Dianna and she smiled, "He can hide his true strenght from people and demons very well. what you see is what he wants you to see, his power and Ora can be overwhelming for most people. You could say he's on the same level as a mighty dragon with how scary it can be." Dianna started to boast about how strong I was, Some people might get embaressed with those types of comments but I loved it a bit.

We had dinner after that conversation then when I l;eft the table Dianna asked if I wanted to go watch the waves? I did so we went to the lake and sat on the bench that they had out there. We sat there for almost two hours watching the water till Dianna got tired and she went inside. I stayed a bit longer and I waited for her to go all the way inside the house. Then I got up and I got closer to the calm shore line. I picked up a rock off the wet ground, I whipped it free of mud then I looked at it closely. I held it in my hand tightly wanting to throw it but instead I said out loud. "I wish I could get rid of this curse that I'm under."

Right when I said that I saw something in the water move, then the object moved towards me. Then as fast as it was moving it stopped and a tall green woman with curves right out of an anime came out of the water. Her glowing purple and black eyes tore a hole throw me when she looked at me. "Young human, you seem down and the wish you just asked for makes no sense. You wished for a curse to be lifted but I feel no curse inside of you." The woman said to me as she got closer touching my face. I looked defeated for a moment then I told her about the situation with my mind going to maddness. I told her how I was summoned and the things that came with it.

The Green woman put her hand over my head, she saw the curse was not part of my soul but in my mind. "Deep in your mind I can see this curse you speak of, and I can see that you have siblings that were summoned here as well." I shook my head "Yes" about my siblings being here and she said to me. "I can grant you the wish but it will be at a price, will you accept it?" I nodded yes and she told me that I had to choose my new curse for both me and for my siblings. So I stood there for a moment then I said, "I want our lifes to be linked to our true loves of this world, when they die or get hurt we can feel it. So we could live as long as them or die when they die, that's our new curse." The wish would link my mortality to Dianna and I would be ok with that.

The green woman gave me a smile, "Are you sure you want that to be your new curse?" She asked me and I smiled at her, "Yes, better than living with what we have now." The green woman lifted her hand over me and a light hit my chest. "Your wish has been granted, you are now free of that old curse and you''re now link Dianna with your mortalilty." The woman began to walk back into the lake but I stopped her for a moment. "Thank you, I would also love to know your name miss, so that I'll never forget you as long as my life might be." I said to her and she turned to me and smiled, "I'm known as Genie Emerald and you're welcome young man." She then vanished into the water leaving no trace she was even here.

A couple of days later after that one moment of getting my curse lifted. My wife and I got much closer than before if that was even possible. We were on our way to the battle field once more after the vacation. We got word something terrible had happened, Tilla's Platoon was almost completely erased from this world by a suprised attack. When I saw how Tilla was doing my mind switched from hero to that dark Villain side that I hid. When I found the group of the enemy that attacked Tilla's platoon I went beserke on them. I destoryed the whole enemy platoon and killed anyone who swung a weapon at me. My allies thought I had lost my mind till I stopped and saw the death I laid at my feet.

I had the last enemy in my hand holding them up to the sun. The man looked terrified and smelled like he pissed himself, I let him down then I said to the man before her ran off. "You head back to you leaders and tell them to stop or I'll come visit them myself. I'll destroy everything to acheive the peace we want over here." The guy ran off and I did that with every enemy platoon that we came across till the enemy began to leave our lands.
