Chapter 13: A legacy begins
It's been over a month since the Quidditch game and the bomb that was dropped known as Hermione's family ties, and it is finally time for the Christmas holidays. Hermione, Susan and Helena are all staying at Hogwarts but away from professor Dumbledore as much as possible. Lyra is going to visit her mother and spend the holidays with her. While myself is going to feldctoft or Rookwood castle to find the canister to start the legacy trials.
Lyra sat down with everyone and decided to open up about the supernatural. The only one shocked was Helena which was a surprise. Hermione knows because of her aunt Griselda, and Susan knows because the older families actually had dealings with the supernatural. I opened up about my sacred gear and powers but left out the gacha for now. To say we were all shocked about every revelation that was brought forth is an understatement. We all started training in the room more seriously and everyone decided to learn swordsmanship with me. Thankfully I had Artoria to write down different workouts and stances to practice with.

I feel like the gacha has a sense of humor with some of the common items I pull. Then there is the set of themed stuff in a row, not that I can complain I like the draws but the thing that scares me the most is the random bloodline.
Random bloodline(s) (mythical): grants a random bloodline(s) from the multiverse. Warning some bloodlines cause mutations that are greatly impacted on physical appearance.
That is truly worrisome especially since it could mean I get more than one bloodline out of this draw. I will take the risk another day. Don't want to wind up with a bloodline that removes my dick or turns me into a woman. Well shelved with the other items I may or may not use.
These weren't the only things that happened. Apparently Ron Weasley, Seamus, Dean and Neville had the bright idea to go to the third floor. They barely escaped a pissed off fluffy and started the entire ' let's find out what it's guarding ' quest or deal. I swear the braincells were on back order when filling three of the four heads. Thankfully Neville is the smarter one out of the group and isn't that involved. The name Nicholas Flamel was dropped, possibly by Dumbledore or Hagrid, so they go looking and they're doing a piss poor job on finding anything about him. It's a little bit concerning that I saw Ron holding a book upside. Seamus is a pyrotechnic due to his accent so no help there. Dean is banned from the library for the semester due to bringing food and doodling in a book. The librarian was furious at him and I now have a healthy respect for her.
I gave all the girls scarfs I made with the yarn I had as well as some chocolates I made in the kitchens. The house elves were extremely nice but I prefer Deek and Tizzy. All the scarfs are charmed with warming charms and the chocolates have their favorite filling inside. I also gave them a pair of bracers each crafted out of goblin silver, beskar and vibranium from my sacred gear. It took a while for each piece to be made but it was worth it especially the wand sheathing I installed so they never loose their wands. I received several hugs from them for the gifts.
Dumbledore is oddly subdued after Halloween but I know his hair - brained schemes are at work. Quirrel is away most likely in the forbidden forest draining unicorns of their blood. The castle is festive with the many trees and enchanted ice all around the castle. Hogsmeade is also festive when I snuck to honeyduke's for several sweets. They were for research and maybe a little bit tasting. The surrounding hamlets in Hogwarts legacy do exist and are like modern day buildings but still have the larger parts of their citizens as wizards.
So here I am in the long abandoned Rookwood castle. Seeing ancient magic and magic in general is a little bit of a headache. Wisps of magic assaulted my eyes when I first used it almost caused me to trip over a potion station in the room. It took a entire weekend to dial back control on the sight to actually normally function and see. Anyway as I'm making my way around the ancient castle I find the canister and open it revealing the vault key. When I'm about to touch it I instinctively dodge a spell that blows up a bookshelf. I turn and see someone dressed as a death eater.
" Hand over the key boy the dark lord needs that power" says the death eater.
So instead of goblins I've got death eaters I'm honestly not surprised. I mean the universe has to righten itself every time I make a change. Thankfully the gacha system informed me that the Clive cussler books and their villains are not going to show up.
" Expelliarmus" I say disarming the death eater before casting the leviosa, descendo combo. I then cast a repulso launching them out of the room. As I walk to them I step on their wand and put it into my inventory. I cast accio summoning them to me but I cut it short letting them fly by into a outstretched katana I made with my sacred gear. As they pass by their head separates from their body the wound already carturized by the fire element on the katana. I store the katana back into my sacred gear and touch the key. Transporting me to the Scotland coastal cliff. I smirk and start the journey to the vault. After about a half hour I find my way to the private vault in gringotts. After showing the key I'm taken to the vault and like the game locked inside. After fighting the statues and looking into the pensive I leave the bank, thankfully no death eaters killing the goblin and running for my life like in the game, appearing outside the Hogwarts grounds. Step one: make it through the vault complete, now onto step two: get to the map chamber.
