Chapter 18:

× I know that what I did is unforgivable, I lied to you and broke your heart, in the beginning I was so convinced that what I was doing was right, I didn't care about any woman, I just wanted to teach them a lesson that they won't forget their whole lives, I was going to do so to you but you rejected me many times, I felt myself in danger, I couldn't accept being wrong and lose the deal so I did whatever it took to take to that dinner, I thought that will end after the dinner but it actually started then. All the lies started on my birthday night so I want them to end on yours Shally, the days I spent with you were the best days of my life, I never get bored or tired with you, you make me laugh and enjoy my time what I never did; growing up in a rich family having everything makes you feel bored from everything but it was so different in your presence, I don't remember the last time I've been as happy as I was when I was spending time with you. I know you said that you get revenge from the people who hurt you so if you want to do it to forgive me I don't mind because I realised how much I love your company and your presence in my life so I just want you back.

× (Leaving a sad smile)You are the first one who hurt me this much and broke my heart deeply but...you are the same first one whom I don't want to take my revenge from, I can't do it."

Shally wiped the tear that fell from her eyes and added: "

× It took you a month to realise that Gerard?

× (Smiling)No, I realised that when I noticed how fast time passes in your presence oppositely to the other times, I realised that when my heart ached for your absence, I realized that when I couldn't stop dreaming of you, I realized that when my eyes didn't stop looking for you everywhere I go, I don't know what you did to me but I'm glad you did, I just had to fix things and make everything settled down before coming to see you, I started apologizing from the first most important woman in my life, the one who gave birth to me and I wanted to end it by apologizing to the second most important woman in my life, the one who made my life happier and gave it a sense. I'm sorry it took so long but I had to apologize to the women I left on the table, (Ironically) it turned out that they were many. (They both smiled then he turned serious) I wanted to fix everything before coming to you so I could have a new page with you.

× (With eyes full of tears) And is everything settled?

× (Counting) I guess so; my mom forgave me, Andrew got the woman he liked so he accepted my apologize and Gwen decided to give a chance to a man named Gustave after he has been behind her for days, he is French and his name starts with the same letter as Gwen's name."

Then the two laughed then Gerard resumed with a low voice: "The only thing missing is you to forgive me" after saying that, Gerard kneeled, Shally was surprised and widened her eyes then Gerard took out from his pocket two tickets saying: "Shally? Would you go to a sky diving with me?" Shally laughed seeming affected by Gerard's words and actions, she looked at the tickets then looked at Gerard and said while Gerard was still on his knees: "

× I have conditions.

× (Smiling) I expected that, anything you want.

× First, I want to keep my job and work whatever happens, I want to take care of myself by myself.

× (Agreeing) As you wish.

× Second, I want to take care of my parents by myself whatever the situation we face is.

× I definitely have no problem with that.

× Third, I don't want you to spend any of your money on me...

× (Interrupting)...But...

× (Interrupted)...At least until I totally forgive you.

× (Had no choice) Okay, done.

× One last thing, why me?"

Gerard stood up and got close to Shally caressing her cheek: "Because you are the only one that makes me feel alive, because even after having everything and even in the presence of all those people around me, you are the only one I want and look for, you are the only one who makes my heart beat fast, because your are the only one that I love." Gerard then kissed Shally passionately for few seconds, then by  keeping his head close of hers he asked: "Can I take this for a yes?" Shally smiled so happy and convinced: "Yes" and Gerard hugged Shally so tight and happy wishing Shally a: "Happy birthday Shally" then they kissed again.

   The next week, Shally and Gerard went to the sky diving, they got so scared to try it, they even refused to in the beginning but then they got attached to two other specialists in sky diving and the specialists just jumped each one holding Gerard and Shally. Arriving to the land, Shally screamed with excitement but Gerard didn't share her that opinion, he got frightened but he couldn't deny that it was so exciting though; Shally told him that it was so exciting and they should try it again, Gerard made the annoyed face that Shally does usually and said: "Never" Shally laughed with amusement and they both kissed feeling so much happiness and love.
