Chapter 33: Geien

I paced in front of Amis, attempting to quell my rage and hatred of all things. I could just cut her down and leave but her blasted domain was too different from mine, I couldn't find a way out.

"And what is to stop you from going back on your word?" Amis asked from her unearthly throne. It was a pristine thing made of marble, silver and pearl.

"The same thing that stops me from drawing a blade and fighting my way out of here." I glared at her and bared my teeth.

She made an amused noise as her head fell gently to the side, a cascade of long white hair slipping over her shoulder. "Careful, Geien." She picked at one of her fingernails, feigning disinterest.

"Amis, you've had your fun. You've made your point. If you do not release me back to my domain I will happily show you what the God of Death and Reclamation is capable of." I rolled my shoulders and felt them ripple in agitation. I wanted to be gone from this horrid place.
