10 Dressing Room

"That can't be true. That girl looks so innocent," another female celebrity replied.

"The girls in this world may look innocent on the outside, but their minds are filthy!" The actress crumpled her script while she spoke.

An Wen started reading the script when she reached home. Having read the novel, she felt that the script had adapted the original text very well. The storyline essentially followed the plot of the novel. Although some parts of the story were removed, it did not greatly affect the outcome.

She grew happier as she continued reading the script. As a novel, Calming the Cosmos was very popular because of its engaging plot. The television drama would definitely be a hit because the script was well-written too.

Since they had exchanged phone numbers, Assistant Director Zhang called An Wen at night to discuss the film schedule. Coincidentally, her summer vacation would start in a week. She made the necessary arrangements with Assistant Director Zhang so that they could start filming when her summer vacation started. However, An Wen would need to attend a photo shoot for a costume fitting tomorrow.

The next day after breakfast, the driver drove her to Di City Film Studios where Assistant Director Zhang was already waiting. He brought An Wen to the makeup artist and stylist when he saw her.

"Please wait in the dressing room once you're done. Director Ye will come over once filming is completed. He wants to be here to see your photoshoot for the costume fitting," Assistant Director Zhang said.

The two main actors of Calming the Cosmos had their own dressing rooms while the other actors shared a communal dressing room. There were several other actors who were getting their makeup done, so the makeup artist brought her to her personal dressing table. The makeup artist kindly introduced An Wen to the actress beside her. "This is Lu Maner, she's playing the role of Yi Xinxin who is Xuan Yuanzun's younger sister in the show."

"Hello, I'm An Wen." The girl greeted Lu Maner in an extremely respectful manner because the other woman was her senior.

"Are you sitting next to me because you're playing the role of Qing Sha?" Lu Maner asked while looking in a mirror. Her tone was also slightly strange.

"Yes," An Wen replied.

Lu Maner turned her face toward An Wen. Her gaze gradually turned colder as she looked the younger woman from head to toe. She asked, "If you're such a big shot, why did you even bother to greet me? You seem like a really disgusting person to me."

"What do you mean?" An Wen asked.

"Who are you trying to fool? You're nothing but an accessory in the bedroom." The other people in the dressing room looked over at the two women when Lu Maner flung her comb on the dressing table.

"Aunt, I have no idea what you're talking about. Were you referring to pillows or blankets when you mentioned bedroom accessories? There's a pillow right here. Do you want it, aunt?" An Wen took the pillow on the chair and passed it to Lu Maner.

As she was only twenty-five years old, Lu Maner still considered herself a young person. When An Wen referred to her as 'aunt', it enraged her and she stood up.

The female celebrity named Zhou Jingyin who was playing the role of Lin Zhenzhen, was beside Lu Maner. Zhou Jingyin hurriedly grabbed Lu Maner and dragged her away when she noticed that she was behaving irrationally. On behalf of Lu Maner, Zhou Jingyin turned to An Wen and asked, "Why did you say that?"

"Did I say something wrong?" An Wen looked completely innocent when she asked, "Isn't Senior Lu twenty-five years old? I'm only fifteen years old, so there's a ten year age gap between us. Was it wrong for me to refer to her as 'aunt'?"

"You're only fifteen years old?" Zhou Jingyin asked in a shocked voice.

An Wen was 162 centimeters tall, but the proportions of her legs made her look even more statuesque. Everyone had assumed that she was at least nineteen years old.

Lu Maner scoffed coldly before asking, "Is it popular to date younger women now?"

Zhou Jingyin quickly pulled Lu Maner's arm when she heard the latter speaking in that manner again. She narrowed her eyes and whispered, "Why are you provoking her when you already know that she's experienced?"

"I can't stand her!" Lu Maner spat before furiously leaving the dressing room.

The dressing room became completely silent after Lu Maner had left. An Wen sat on the chair in front of the dressing table as though nothing had happened. She turned to the makeup artist and gently said, "Please help me with my makeup."

The others could not stop themselves from sneaking glances at An Wen when they noticed that she was so composed. They were briefly attracted to An Wen before they remembered that Lu Maner had mentioned that she was still a young girl.
