Getting clarity on my situation

It has been a month since I came in to this magical world.first few days I sorted my memories. After that started speaking with my father and twik the house elf by not alerting them that I'm a different person. After spending a whole month in gathering all the information I could this have me a clear idea of my situation i.e

1. I'm am really in Harry potter world which my girlfriend always spoke about.

2. My name is maven Gaunt and my Father's name is Morvous Gaunt for some reason after my birth my father was exiled along with me to this cottage in a village.

3. From the memories of the previous body owner I came to know that Gaunt family is very rich. But as I and my father are exiled we only receive a monthly stipend of 200 galleons.

4. Since my birth I have never met any other Gaunt family member even my mother. I was never told the reason.

5. In this one month I found a few snakes around our garden funny part was I understand there hissing sound. Through my memories I found that previous owner of this body hated snakes and never spoke the snake language which I understood is called parseltongue. And I also decided to continue like that.

6. And to make things worse I ended up in year 1817.I didn't have any idea of how the world was at this point of time.

7. Worst of all is I didn't show any signs of magic. I was branded a Squib ( a person born of wizarding parents but cannot show signs of magic) . Through my memories It's confirmed that if I didn't show signs of magic before 11 years of age there is a possibility I might be killed.(As my family members we anarchist s from my father's explanation).

8. Last but not least and most important one was most of the myths in this world may be true ( why because before dying in my previous world I heard most of them are true which I need to confirm) With all these conclusions I came up with a plan.first I should know all I could about this wizarding society. So I went up to my father asked him if I could read some books on our wizarding world history. My request took him by surprised. I can understand my father because previous owner of this way a lazy prick he never read any books or listened to what his father was saying.

My father gave me reply which shocked me. There house had no books only few were there they were books on potions and defence against dark arts. And funny part was Gaunt family members were so arrogant that they thought going to school was waste they believed in home schooling.from my father's account last person to go to wizarding school called Hogwarts was nearly 100 years ago .That person was current patriarch Corvinus Gaunt. And before him very few people went to school. So our family library is in Gaunt manor where me or my father had no access to. Now I confirmed my was also a fool just a thought of what he was trying to teach my body's previous owner made me laugh (I though poor soul it must have been a torture for him may God bless his soul).

" Ok son since you are so insistent on reading book on our wizarding history I will try to borrow or purchase a book. In our family people don't like to read books a lot I surprised where you got this trait from".

Then I went back to my room and started meditating. In my previous world I never had a habit of meditation but after coming to wizarding world I had to do meditation to relieve my stress .
