Chapter 274: Sherryl's Adoration (II)

'Ahh, music to my ears.', I inwardly thought to myself, seeing a few notifications pop into my mind after knocking Sherryl out of the fighting ring. With the last force of my blow and coupled with my magic, she flew all the way toward the door, crashing into it. I didn't want to further damage the state the Vander Dojo currently is in, seeing several small craters scattered around the walls and the fighting platform.

It was just ten minutes, but the destructive force of our blows were fierce. My violet hair singed with hints of red waved around as the somewhat intense heat of Sherryl's steaming body remained around the atmosphere, despite having flung outside. To my, and likely the rest of everyone's surprise, however, I could see a few guests standing outside the Vander Dojo. It was Zin's group no less, and I wasn't expecting to see a particular orange spiky-haired man with him.

Like, weren't they on absolutely no speaking terms whatsoever after they had that showdown against their Master? I had initially thought that, but seeing a stern-looking woman with them, which was Kilika, it made sense as to why Walter would be lurking around in such a group.

That meant Ouroboros was lurking around in Heimdallr. 

And it wasn't just Walter either. Renne was here too. She went off the radar these last few months since my little stunt from St. Ursula. I did want to get in contact with her ever since the new years party last night, but she just went up and vanished again. She likes to do that a lot.

At the very least, I know Renne will be staying here in Heimdallr for a good while. While chatting with Sherryl earlier in the morning before that breakfast, Sherryl did confirm Renne is now attending St. Astraia along with her, and Sherryl and Renne were in the same class as Princess Alfin no less, who by the way, also had Musse and Elise in it. Sherryl was closer to Princess Alfin's age than Renne was so seeing Renne attending middle school should be no easy feat. She should still be eight years old this year, perhaps soon turning nine, if I remember correctly. 

It really was a nice thing to see though. Renne in particular had such a traumatic experience going through the cult caves as we did, on top of being in an unfortunate 'kidnapping' accident due to her parents' negligence. Eventually Renne would come to terms with it in the later cold steel games, but being introduced to several new friends now, it is a step in the right direction. I wonder, with a bit more time spent before enrolling at Jenis, should I give Renne another push or two to try into touch with her parents again?

And while I was on that topic, I had plans to travel to Crossbell City either today or tomorrow. As I will be mostly devoting my time further training my swordsmanship and consolidating my stats for the impending Infernal Castle, it was time to confront Sherryl's past. She was literally kidnapped in broad daylight, and her family couldn't do anything against it. I am not sure how her parents' situation is, but at the very least, I do know she has an older sister. I will need to bring this up with Princess Alfin too, as Sherryl took a good liking to her it seems. I am not sure how much, if any, that Sherryl had spoken with Princess Alfin in regards to her family. But if she knows as much as I do, then I am sure she will want to see the resolution to this.

It is hard to bring an imperial princess out of her own country, considering that she is the sole princess to boot. They went through such trouble in bringing Princess Alfin out to spend a day in Liberl. But I am sure if we bring up the topic with His Majesty, he should approve it.

As I thought that, the mana that was wildly circulating through my body feeling an active state of blood shifting through it began to secede, and I took in a deep breath. I could see some blood splatters on World Eater, I didn't go easy on Sherryl. She wanted me to come at her and I hope the strength I showed was satisfactory.

Ignoring our new guests though, I was surprised to see those couple of notifications. The one being about an extra reward in particular. I didn't see it mentioned in the original quest, so I guess hidden rewards can still be given out, even if they aren't directly provided upfront. Maybe it's situational depending on how I do on these Quests? I knocked Sherryl out of the fighting platform, if I hadn't done that, it probably wouldn't have triggered, right? Or let's say I brought Sherryl down to her knees like it was mentioned in the spar quest against the Thunder God, would that turn into an entirely different reward?

It was worth testing, but the quest is over now. I had four Master Quarts Level Boosters, and I think it was also soon to dive into my Enigma II, sorting the Quartz I was rewarded with. I still have the orbal device in my Inventory. I had only given AI KeA to father and whatever it was she was bound to for him to investigate. I saw father leave shortly after Renne's group left. I can only imagine the destination he would be going to, but if I had to take a hard guess, it would be the Black Workshop. I am sure Black Alberich had taken over Franz' body by now and were likely cooperating together as part of the Gnomes. The only unknown I didn't know in regards to this, was George working with the Black Alberich by this point, or was he still at Roer?

It was best I didn't encounter George at all until Thors. After all, by improving my relationship with the Hexen Clan and thanks to those titles, my status with the Gnomes was decreased.

With four boosters, I could level a Master Quartz right to Level 5. In Reverie in particular, a Master Quartz's maximum level was fifteen. The last five levels were mostly just stat increases. Once a Master Quartz reached level ten, it would have gotten all of its effects. I don't think I had anything planned aside from the spar with Sherryl in the morning, so when I return to Valflame Palace, I might start going through my Master Quartz and Quartz then. And all while on that matter, there laid the beauty of the Trailsverse. Thanks to the combat orbments, it didn't matter what one person had over the other.

One could easily become a 'Mage', a 'Rogue', or a 'Swordsman'. All it needed was the right Quartz setup. And this allowed civilians to fight against monsters. Truly such a wondrous piece of technology I didn't see in my past life.

I didn't know if I would use the boosters yet though, I wanted to see in particular the five Master Quartz I had, and if they had any changes to their original effects.

For now, at least, I kept those boosters in my Inventory. There was still the main prize at hand from the quest. I didn't have to immediately tend to Sherryl's condition, as she was caught by Zin's large embrace. I could see the surprised look in his eyes though, it was pretty funny to witness. No doubt Sherryl's body heat was currently at a high temperature since the steam was still being released. In any second, I am sure Sherryl's [Doping] mode will end. So while that happened, I decided to have a look at the new Accessory given to me.

It would seem that Accessories also had a graded system like weapons and armor had. I had a first look at that while rolling all of that equipment, but I didn't think it would reach the S grade. These were on par with weapons the most powerful Jaegers had in their arsenal, and most of them were crafted by none other than the Black Workshop. Upon reading Sherryl's Adoration, it left me flabbergasted.
