Chapter 25 WHERE IS THAT MAN NOW

"Mary Ann, cancel all my appointments from today until tomorrow. I have to go and I am not sure when I will come back but I will keep on calling you. Please get a ticket for me now going to Toronto, Canada." Adrian rushed to Mary Ann," Oh, wait. Please make it two. I want it as soon as possible even if it's not a business class, then book it please?"

"O--okay, Sir."

The woman is confused why her boss is in a rush but still, she immediately dialed the number of the Agency.

"Hi, this is Mary Ann. I'd like to book two tickets to Toronto, Canada. A flight that would be leaving the soonest," while on the phone, her mobile kept on vibrating.

John is calling her.

She was able to answer the call on his fourth attempt.

"Hello,"

"Hi, Baby. I am sorry for the short notice but I need to travel to Toronto. My sister is in the delivery room now." Oh, that's why Adrian rushed to her to book the tickets. "She's giving birth to her twins and I hope you understand.

"Don't worry about me. Just be safe and take good care of your sister. I will just be here and wait until you come back, okay?" She said to John. He really loves his little sister.

"Thank you so much, Babe. By the way, Adrian confirmed to me that he already arranged the service that will be picking you and dropping you while I am away." John really didn't fail to take good care of her and think of her safety. Even before he leaves, he always makes sure about her security.

"No worries, thank you." She said in her sweetest voice," I hate to end this call but I need to hang up now. I need to email the tickets to Adrian."

"Alright, I am guessing that's for the two of us. Did you buy two tickets?"

"Yeah, you're right."

"Okay, Babe. I am sorry I don't get the chance to see you before I go."

"That's okay. Just take care and have a safe trip." Mary Ann ended the call.

John felt a bit disappointed because up to now, Mary Ann hasn't answered his love for her. But, he just needs to be patient until the time that Mary Ann is ready to answer his declared love.

He let out a sigh.

He put his phone in his pocket and continued packing his things. He doesn't want to leave Mary Ann alone but he also wants to be by her sister's side. She needs him.

John would like to make Diane feel that she is loved and her little ones. He would give all the love that the three of them need at this point.

Mary Ann successfully emailed the plane tickets to Adrian and then continued to do her tasks.

She is about to go home and John keeps on texting her until they get onboard.

Mary Ann couldn't help smiling every time that she remembers how worried John was for her safety.

He worried too much that he needed to ask Adrian again to arrange a service for her.

She shook her head when a memory flashes in her mind. For sure, if Adrian is left with her, he will have to arrange someone to pick her up and he will be dropping her home just like before.

Maybe, if it weren't her, the woman would be annoyed with John. He is so clingy. He seems to be protecting her but he is going overprotective and they don't have any formal relationship yet.

She smiled. John has been very patient with her and he is really willing to wait. He never asked her anything after declaring his love.

"I can see how good a man you are, John. The way you treat me is something that would sweep every woman in her feet." Mary Ann tried to feel her heart. She could feel a different kind of happiness every time John is around," I guessed, I am falling in love with him. I have to wait until he comes back and I will talk to him. I only hope one thing, that he will accept that I am no longer a virgin. I hope he will still accept me for who I am." She is afraid that if John will know she is no longer innocent with that kind of thing, he would change his mind.

She lost her femininity five years ago.

She felt bitterness inside her. She doesn't want to feel any regret because of what happened that night, she became a mother. She had her baby.

Her phone suddenly rang.

"Hello,"

"Hi, Ma'am. I am already downstairs."

It's the driver that Adrian arranged to drop her at at their house. He is already waiting for her.

She stood up and took her back. She walked straight to the elevator.

"Good morning, babe." Mary Ann is shocked. John is there standing in front of her desk. He is holding a bouquet of red roses. She didn't notice him coming because she was busy typing and sending emails.

She is rushing to do her tasks because yesterday she wasn't able to complete them. She went out with Adrian and that didn't give her enough time so today, she is trying to catch up with all her work.

"John!" She said in surprise. "When did you arrive?"She took the roses from John.

John smiled at her, "Just a few hours ago." He said and his face was getting closer and closer to her face, "As soon as I got out of the airport, I went straight there to visit you. I just miss you so much." He smirked.

Mary Ann was so glad when she heard what John said but she also got worried. The man looked exhausted, probably because it was a long flight," So, you haven't taken your rest yet?"

"Not yet, I want to have lunch with you." He said. He doesn't seem to mind how tired he is because he only wanted to see her. He looked at his wristwatch," It's five minutes before twelve and that would be your lunch break. Can we have lunch together?"

"Sure, just let me finish this one. It's a very important email that my boss wanted me to send now. But, are you okay?" She said and turned her eyes again on the computer screen. She began to compose her email.

She couldn't deny the fact that she missed the man in front of her. This is the day that she has been waiting for for so long.

Mary Ann felt happy and at the same time a bit nervous.

"Yes, I am. Don't worry about me. I slept for the whole time when I was on the plane." He said and winked at her.

"Okay, then. This won't take long." She said while still looking at her monitor and typing.

"Alright, go ahead. I will just stay there inside your boss's office. I will check how he is doing." He turned around and stepped in at Adrian's office.

Adrian came back first. He just stayed in Canada for half a month while John was there for almost three months which is understandable. His sister needs him a lot. She gave birth to twins and that is no joke. She needs all the help that she could get in taking care of her two little ones.

Mary Ann suddenly remembered the time that baby Annie was still alive. Her grandmother was the only one with her. It was her grandmother who took care of her and her baby. She was also the one who looked after her baby when she was back in school. Maybe if her mom didn't come back that day when she slapped her, baby Annie is still alive.

Her mom didn't ask her or even dared to listen to her. She only reacted based on what she saw.

If only her mom tried to understand her, Baby Annie could have been able to survive even just for a year or more. Mary Ann and her grandmother gave all the love that they could give to her baby.

She couldn't believe that in just a snap of a finger, they have lost her.

It's difficult to be a mother at an early age. She experienced it herself. She needed to take care of her child and at the same time go to school.

But, if she would hang on in the pain that has been caused by her baby's death then she won't be able to move on. She would be unhappy and living miserable. She is thankful that she has her grandmother with her.

She made her feel that everything happens because of God's plan. She learned her lessons.

She frowned. She suddenly remembered the man who took her virginity away from her last night.

Where would that man be now?

Did he ever think of what he has done to her?
