A Fool's Change of Heart

DISCLAIMER: I don't own anything besides the name of the protagonist. Persona belongs to whoever created it. Also, the No One 17 and Under Admitted is because of the excessive swearing, dark themes and not for the possible (but unlikely) lemons. Shin Yuuta, who unknowingly had caused world devastation in another timeline, had been sent to the sea of souls to cleanse the influence a malevolent entity, composed from humanity's evil thoughts, had over him. Wielding the gifts he had received from his body's previous host and a certain mask-wearing being, it is up for our protagonist to make sure history doesn't repeat itself. P.S: The pic I used for cover isn't mine either.

There goes the canon

"The effing hell is this?" asked Ryuji, as the group looked at the many lasers that spread over the garden like a spider web.

"Well, it's obviously a defense mechanism." replied Shin.

"I can see THAT much!" scoffed the blond.

"This level of security only proves there's something worth it up ahead." said Morgana.

"Yes, Fay. Thank you for stating the obvious. Very helpful." said the black-haired teen, slowly clapping his hands in mock-gratefulness.

"Then why don't you try to figure this out, huh?" snarked the cat.

"Oh look! A sign that tells what this thing is and how to disable it!" said Shin, pointing his finger at the golden sign near them.

"Tch!" Morgana clicked his tongue.

"It says here that the only way to disable the security system is on the other side." said Shiho, who went to read the sign.

"So we're stuck here?" asked Ryuji.

"Not necessarily. See those keyholes there? I'm pretty sure those lead to the other side." said Shin.

"But how are we going to get there?" asked Ann.

"I have an idea. Skull, mind if I borrow your bat?"

"Huh? Sure, but... Whatcha gonna do with it?" said the blond.

Shin simply grinned, but he didn't say anything. He summoned Agathion before looking towards Morgana.

"Why're you looking at me like that?" asked the cat, confused.

He had a bad feeling about this.

Shin put his hand on top of Morgana's head and picked him up. He then proceeded to stuff him into Agathion. The poor green goblin-like creature inside was squished by Morgana's head.

"Kuh!"

Shin grabbed Agathion by the handles and flung it upwards as far as he could, so that he could wind up his swing.

Shin took a deep breath in. The tension was palpable. He cleared his mind of other thoughts, focusing solely on the slowly descending Persona.

He had to make this shot. His free time and dignity were at stake here.

If he couldn't manage to do this, he'd have to go pose naked for Yusuke while Morgana unlocked the door in reality.

As Agathion came closer, Shin angled himself so that the Persona would shoot straight through the keyhole, while not losing any speed on the way.

And then, he swung. Using both of his hands and the whole weight of his body, Shin braced himself mentally for the pain he was about to inflict on himself.

*CRACK*

The wind howled, the earth cracked, the sky thundered and wild lightning shot out. Fire roared to life, but suddenly, rain started heavily pouring down.

You'd think the fire would be quelled by the rain, but contrary to what most people would expect to happen, the fire started spreading faster. As if feeling provoked, the rain intensified.

When the crazy winds met the area between the fires and the rain, tornadoes appeared. They were picking up pieces of broken rock, clashing with one another, as if they were fighting.

As the tornadoes were going around, lighting strikes hit the rocks flying about. Though ineffective against the raging wing-based disasters, they persevered.

Static electricity was running amok. Rocks were getting attracted towards each other, pulling the tornadoes with them. Then, 2 tornadoes full of electrically-charged rock collided with each other.

As if consuming each other, the tornadoes got smaller and smaller, as a new, third tornado rose in between them. It was bigger and worse than any other tornado yet.

For a few seconds, the lightning strikes stopped. And as a huge lightning bolt descended, everything in sight turned white.

Or at least, that's what Ryuji, Ann and Shiho thought had happened.

In reality, Shin had swung his bat, part of Agathion cracked, and the Persona shot through the keyhole.

"What are you staring at me like that for?" asked the boy.

"What the heck was that?!" shouted Ryuji.

"What was what?" said Shin, cocking his head to the side.

"That... thing with the tornadoes and the lightning and it went like *whoosh* and then *baaam* and then *fuah*!" said the blond, agitated.

"What the hell are you talking about?"

At that moment, the lasers shut down and went down into the earth. The giant multicolored door quickly slid open.

"C'mon, let's head in." said the black-haired boy, signalling with his hand.

Normally, there should have been a Nue waiting for them just a little further away from the door. But what the group saw was just an empty hallway.

'Of course. Morgana must've gone through here. That guard wouldn't have let him go unbothered.'

Inside the security control room, which was nearby, was also Morgana. The cat looked shaken and nauseous. As for Agathion, the Persona had already vanished. Shin de-summoned it as he thought that Morgana wouldn't be able to free himself from the vase. Besides, the poor thing had already suffered enough.

"Yo, Fay!" exclaimed Shin.

"You! Why did you throw me like that?! You insensible bastard!" shouted the cat as he jumped and tried to punch Shin in his face.

"Now, now. Don't be that guy." said Shin, not even bothering to block, as he had Shiki-Ouji equipped, which made him immune to physical damage.

A few minutes later, after Morgana had calmed down.

"So, what should we do now?" asked Shiho.

"I wanna go home..." said Morgana, somewhat traumatized by the experience.

"I suppose we can head home and rest for now. We should be about halfway in." said Shin.

"Alright."

This chapter's additional info is on... Bicorn!

Bicord is a Persona of the Hermit Arcana, and Shin summoned one back in the fight with Kamoshida.

Bicorn is a unholy unicorn with two sharp, spiraling horns on its forehead. If unicorns are considered holy, then bicorns are considered unholy, reviled as filthy beasts. The number 1 supposedly represents the purity of man, and 2 represents the seductions brought with the arrival of women. Bicorn supposedly represents the sin of adultery. Males are called bicorns, while females are called chichevaches ("thin cows"). It is said that the unicorn was born from a bicorn and once had two horns itself.

It is said to be the opposite of a Chichevache or Unicorn.

(Stay pure, men. Virginity is cool.)
