A Fool's Change of Heart

DISCLAIMER: I don't own anything besides the name of the protagonist. Persona belongs to whoever created it. Also, the No One 17 and Under Admitted is because of the excessive swearing, dark themes and not for the possible (but unlikely) lemons. Shin Yuuta, who unknowingly had caused world devastation in another timeline, had been sent to the sea of souls to cleanse the influence a malevolent entity, composed from humanity's evil thoughts, had over him. Wielding the gifts he had received from his body's previous host and a certain mask-wearing being, it is up for our protagonist to make sure history doesn't repeat itself. P.S: The pic I used for cover isn't mine either.

Oh my~

"Hiyah!" Shiho grunted as she flung Shin over her shoulder.

With a heavy 'Thud', the other dark-haired teen impacted the ground. Such a throw would've dazed a normal human for at least a few seconds. The keywords being 'normal human', and Shin was anything but normal. He had felt the impact, of course. He wasn't that used to physical hits that he'd simply not feel anything, but regardless, it had no effect on him.

Now, he could've just chose to stand up, unfazed, and shock Shiho. But a better idea came to mind as he watched the girl catch her breath. Shin was heavier than her, and she had to admit that in spite of her volleyball training, her muscles weren't all that strong.

She waited for a few seconds for Shin to stand up, but he didn't. Seconds were passing and he wasn't standing up. With concern growing inside her, Shiho approached his body. Seeing that he was unresponsive, Shiho squatted down next to Shin.

In another situation, perhaps she would've simply bent over him, curious to see how he'd react. Shiho blushed at the thought. A lot of her 'advice' mentioned trying to tease him, and while she kept trying to do so, all of her attempts so far have been unsuccessful, only spurning the black-haired boy to give her a hard time more.

Nevertheless, she neither in the mood nor in the place for something like that. Not only did she become more self-aware after Kamoshida, but she wouldn't want to make a view for anyone else in the gym.

As absorbed in her thoughts as she was, trying to mentally explain herself to someone that didn't exist, she didn't notice the pair of arms sneaking around her midriff and most of her abdomen.

Shin pulled the girl over him, eliciting a cute yelp from the girl while simultaneously dragging her from whatever thoughts she might've gotten to.

"W-Wha-" she exclaimed, clearly confused.

Shin didn't say anything, and simply rolled to the side, with Shiho in his arms, placing them in the exact same situation as before, only their positions were reversed.

"Eh?" was the first thing Shiho said, before her brain fully registered the situation they're in.

"Hey, Shiho. Were you worried about me?"

"I-I-I..." she stammered, her embarrassment quickly making her blush go down her neck.

"Oh god, get a room you two!" exclaimed a man who was trying to concentrate on his workout.

Shin smirked.

"Well, you heard the guy." he told Shiho, and he stood up.

The teen helped a dazed Shiho up to her feet, and as she looked to be too wobbly to walk on her own, Shin picked her up.

"Don't you try anything against that girl, you hear me?" said the owner of the gym.

Shin turned around, Shiho in hands, and said.

"I think I can take care of my girls. Your concern in not needed." he slowly spoke, gazing at the owner as he awaited any kind of reaction.

When he didn't say anything, Shin continued on his way, and the owner would've had to lie if he said he wasn't even a little scared.
