Odd encounter in one odd place

Shin tapped his foot impatiently as he looked at the man in the black suit that spoke up earlier during Yoshida's speech. He had decided to trail him for a bit, to see if he could find a way to reach Shido.

The teen couldn't help but smile as he thought of his plans regarding the bald bastard.

He didn't underestimate the capacity of Shido's pets, so he went with the most foolproof plan he could conceive at the moment: trailing them on the rooftops.

It wasn't actually that hard to get there. Just channeling Oni's strength in his legs to jump from one building's wall to another until he reached the top. After that, there were a bunch of very short moments of Persona-powered strength to jump to higher rooftops.

Of course, he still had to be careful so that he wasn't seen. After all, he had no method to make himself invisible.

"What're we looking at?"

Shin almost jumped backwards when he heard someone speak to him. He turned around and saw a black-haired middle-aged man looking at him curiously. Weird, he hadn't even heard him approach.

"Who are you?" Shin asked.

"Ah, my name isn't that important for now. Now, may I ask you why were you stalking one of Shido's followers?" asked the man, keeping his hands in his pockets.

"You may not."

"Why?"

"Because I don't have anything to tell to a stranger. Especially if you won't even give me your name."

"Oh, come on! We're both searching for that guy."

"Are we?"

"Yes! So how about it?"

"What's in it for me?" asked Shin.

"I can tell you the location of Goro Akechi's house." said the older man, making Shin raise his eyebrows.

"And why do you think that'd interest me?"

"With how many fans he has all over the country, I'm pretty sure you could get quite a lot of money by selling that info."

"Not interested."

"Huh?"

"I don't need money. So if you have nothing else to offer, then leave." said Shin, shooing him with his hand.

"What if I offer you my help?"

"In regards to?"

"Taking down Shido, of course. That's why you're here trailing those followers of his. To learn more about the baldy. Am I right?"

"You could say I have something similar in mind." said Shin.

"Then how about it? Wanna team up against Shido?" asked the older man, excitedly.

"I'll think about it."

"Good. That's good. Very good."

The man passed Shin a small paper note.

"That's my contact info. Give me a call if you're out and about again, will you?" said the man, and left as silently as he came.

"Fuck. I didn't even get his name." said Shin, frustrated.

Cu Chulainn is an Irish mythical hero who appears in the stories of the Ulster Cycle, as well as in Scottish and Manx folklore. He trained in war under the goddess Scathach, who lives in the Land of Shadows, and earned the magic spear Gae Bolg. At the age of seventeen he defended Ulster single handedly against the armies of Queen Mab of Connacht in the epic Tain Bo Cuailnge. It was prophesied that his great deeds would give him everlasting fame, but that his life would be short.

Many say he acquired a lot of power by submitting himself to some geis, two of which are "I'll never eat dog meat" and "I'll never refuse a meal offered by a woman." But then a woman offered him some dog meat, as so he had to choose what geis to break and he accepted the meal. After that, he was forced by Mab to break his geis one by one, as so he met his death at the hands of Lugaid. He once spurned the goddess Morrigan and was cursed to die by being pierced on his own spear. Afterwards, Morrigan took him to the land of the fae, where he became a knight.

Cu Chulainn is the eighth Persona of the Star Arcana in Persona 5, while being the sixth Persona of the Faith Arcana in Persona 5 Royal. In both versions it is only acquirable through fusion in the Velvet Room.
