A Fool's Change of Heart

DISCLAIMER: I don't own anything besides the name of the protagonist. Persona belongs to whoever created it. Also, the No One 17 and Under Admitted is because of the excessive swearing, dark themes and not for the possible (but unlikely) lemons. Shin Yuuta, who unknowingly had caused world devastation in another timeline, had been sent to the sea of souls to cleanse the influence a malevolent entity, composed from humanity's evil thoughts, had over him. Wielding the gifts he had received from his body's previous host and a certain mask-wearing being, it is up for our protagonist to make sure history doesn't repeat itself. P.S: The pic I used for cover isn't mine either.

It's Sho-Time!

Shin raised an eyebrow.

"Go on." he said.

"You see, about a month ago I felt this weird pulling sensation on my soul, so I decided to investigate into it more. It took longer than I expected to pinpoint your location, I'll give you that. But here I am. As for that question, how and what did you take from me?" asked the red-haired man, pulling one of the swords on his back by the handle, just enough that it's visible to Shin, but not quite unsheathing it.

"That's... more than one question, mister Sho. But don't worry, it was just your knowledge of the training you went through. And your sword skill. Though I haven't been able to use that one yet." replied the half-naked boy, crossing his arms.

"How did you take that knowledge from me in the first place?"

"Well, I don't know the details about it. There's this guy named Philemon that gave it to me, but the bastard didn't tell me anything about it. I've been experimenting with it on my own, but there's only so much that I can learn like that. So, thanks. In a way, you helped me find more about it."

"Hold on, who the fuck is Philemon?"

"Basically, he's the really good guy who helps the good Persona-users go against whatever god that's actually an aspect of us humans that appears every few years and tries to take over humanity or do mass destruction."

"Ah, that makes sense. So who's the so-called god now?

"A giant cup."

"Huh?"

"I'm not kidding you. His name is Yaldabaoth, but you can call him Yaldaboi, he most likely would be annoyed by that." said Shin, smirking.

"And his goal?" asked Sho.

"Complete control over the human population."

"I don't like that." said Sho, frowning.

"If it all goes according to my plan, taking that guy down will be easy."

"Can you take me to him? I want to make sure he's actually beatable myself." said the red-head.

"Well, I can't exactly take you to him directly, but I can, in fact, take you to his special reality."

"Alright, let's go."

The two headed out towards the Shibuya station, but not before Shin put his shirt on.

He'd have a lot of explaining to do when he returned.

-INTERMISSION-

"So all of this replaces the actual subway system?" asked Sho.

"Yep. We don't know how deep it actually goes." replied the black-haired boy.

"Interesting. By the way, what's with that outfit?"

"This is my outfit as a Phantom Thief, my inner rebellious image that appears whenever I venture in the Metaverse, where I and my comrades stylishly and covertly steal the treasures and change the hearts of rotten adults." said Shin, dramatically flailing his arms around, for added effect.

"Ok."

"Now come, my friend, for we shall adventure to the depths of Mementos together."

-INTERMISSION-

Shin sighed as he watched another shadow explode, with the dark sword held by Tsukiyomi going through its chest.

He intended to have some fun destroying shadows while explaining Mementos to Sho, but the madman took off before he could say much.

There was no need to rush after him, as Tsukiyomi was way too powerful for the weak shadows inhabiting these levels. It wasn't even all that hard to catch up to him, as Shin only needed to follow the path with the most carnage.

The red-haired man had hit the limit quickly, so he had some fun bullying the shadows on the lowest level. Until the reaper appeared, that is.

"The heck are you made of? Steel?" said Sho, coughing up some blood in his palm.

The man was crouching as he held his side in pain.

"You need some help?" asked Shin, who was leaning on a wall a few meters to his right.

"No, thanks. I can deal with him on my own." said Sho, wobbling from side to side as he stood up.

"You shouldn't stand up with those kinds of injuries."

"I'm *cough* fine."

"Just so you know, I don't have any Persona with a revive skill, so if you die, it's on you." shouted Shin as Sho begun running towards the reaper.

-INTERMISSION-

"Ugh..." groaned the red-haired man as he was laying down on one of the benches in a safe area in Mementos.

"I told you you shouldn't move with your ribs broken." said Shin.

"Shut it..."

This chapter's additional info is on... the Sun Arcana!

Portrayed as two children holding hands under a blazing sun, The Sun symbolizes happiness, joy, energy, optimism, and accomplishment. Occasionally, it is also associated with one's initial happiness.

Persona of the Sun Arcana are commonly Persona excelling in Light and Fire-based attacks. These Personas are typically mythological figures directly related to the sun, light, or fire.

Characters of the Sun Arcana almost always (ironically) find themselves in terrible situations, the situation belying the underlying optimism present in nearly all of them. Also, as the Sun Arcana portrays accomplishment, some of these characters have deep thoughts about the meaning of life and manage to find their answers.
