A Fool's Change of Heart

DISCLAIMER: I don't own anything besides the name of the protagonist. Persona belongs to whoever created it. Also, the No One 17 and Under Admitted is because of the excessive swearing, dark themes and not for the possible (but unlikely) lemons. Shin Yuuta, who unknowingly had caused world devastation in another timeline, had been sent to the sea of souls to cleanse the influence a malevolent entity, composed from humanity's evil thoughts, had over him. Wielding the gifts he had received from his body's previous host and a certain mask-wearing being, it is up for our protagonist to make sure history doesn't repeat itself. P.S: The pic I used for cover isn't mine either.

A knight in shining armor

Shin had just exited the convenience store in the backstreets of Yongen-Jaya, when he saw a phenomenon many people living in this neighborhood talk about, Sojiro included. There was a red-haired girl carrying a huge bag full of groceries.

He'd found out about this when Sojiro came back to the cafe, all grumpy, and told him everything that had transpired in that day while he made a cup of coffee. Shin would even dare say that was the best cup of coffee he had ever made, for it placated even the frustrated old man.

Back to the present now, it seemed that the girl had caught Shin's interest. Why, you might be compelled to ask. Well, it's because, as she was walking down the road, she happened to trip on some sort of cat-shaped object, that definitely wasn't Morgana, and she fell forward.

Or rather, she would've fallen forward if it hadn't been for Shin catching her by the bag.

'Goddamn Morgana.' thought Shin, annoyed.

"Are you alright?" he asked, pulling the girl back into standing position.

"Huh?" she unconsciously exclaimed, confused. "Oh, yeah. Thanks."

"Sorry about that. I have a dumb cat." stated Shin, which made Morgana grumble, but for the moment he couldn't exactly refute that statement.

The cat-like being was partly thankful to Shin from saving him from the predicament of being stuck under the girl, partly annoyed at how the black-haired teen phrased his last sentence, but mostly embarrassed at himself for not noticing the girl earlier.

"Don't worry about it." she said.

As the girl went on her way, Shin noticed something on the ground.

'She dropped her phone. Goddammit.'

Shin picked it up and looked around. As she was no longer in sight, Shin went in the nearest alley and swiftly scaled up the walls to the roof. Thankfully, the buildings were so clustered together that it was really easy for Shin to find things to grab onto.

Running around the rooftops made it easy for Shin to find the red-haired girl. He saw that she entered a building, and was about to hop down and enter after her, but at that moment, the atmosphere suddenly changed.

With the sudden misplacing of mass in his bag, the teen slipped, making him slip and crash through a window.

"What the hell?! Who are you?!" shouted the startled resident of the room he just entered.

The purple-haired teen stood up, pointing a finger at Shin. When he saw the phone in Shin's hand, his gaze turned serious.

"Why do you have that?"

"Hold on, let me just-" said Shin, picking himself up off the floor.

"What's going on here?" asked the red-haired girl, who had just entered the room.

"Answer me!" shouted the purple-haired teen.

A 2-meters tall, armored figure slowly manifested next to the purple-haired boy. It held a longsword with its right hand, which it twirled occasionally.

"Or I might have to get rough with you." finished the brat.
