"Ahh…!" I groaned as I flopped onto a bed… My own bed!
Three months had passed since I'd arrived in this world. I had been promoted to a C-Class Mage after doing enough D-Class Missions. However, I'd decided to keep doing D-Class Missions rather than jumping into doing C-Class.
My reason was quite simple, as from C-Class onwards missions could take days to do. I could mitigate that with flying to every location but, if they weren't directly things like killing monsters, then the missions required a bit of detective work to find out how to solve the issue. D-Class Missions- while not paying as much- were much simpler and could be done faster.
Thus, I'd put my focus on doing D-Class missions… And I'd finally obtained enough money to build my own house, with furniture and all the other accessories it would need.
With the help of some guild members, my house was done in five days, and I'd spent the remaining two days moving in the furniture and installing everything else inside. Thanks to Lacrima there was no need for things like wiring, magic just took care of everything on that front. The only thing that I had to put any magical effort into doing was linking my lights to their switches from the instructions I got.
I'd just returned home from registering my house with the mayor of Magnolia, and I was now the official owner of my own home!
"I finally have my own home~" I hummed happily as I rubbed my face into the pillows. "I can finally sleep in my own home! This is the best!"
BB hummed as she looked over it. [Not as impressive as anything from the Moon Cell or Luluhawa, but I suppose it's not terrible. You might just have really bad standards when it comes to beds, Senpai. Weren't most of the beds you slept on in your older years second hand and often broke within a couple of years?]
"Second hand is cheaper," I offered a helpless shrug… Forking out money for a mattress wasn't something I was capable in my past life, second hand was just easier. Especially newer mattresses that were memory foam or had a cooling system.
[Hm, I suppose that's fair.] BB nodded.
"So," I sat up and looked at her. "I meant to ask this sooner, but… Are you the same BB? You know, from the game?"
[Perhaps slightly different.] BB shrugged. [I can assure you, while I may have treated things like a game, it was no game for me. But if you're asking if I'm the same BB from Fate/Extra… I would say no.]
"How so?" I tilted my head.
[That BB was created due to the Sakura A.I. separating her feelings for Hakuno from herself to avoid being deleted, and those feelings eventually gained her own form of sentience and acted in an attempt to save Hakuno Kishinami. However, the details of my creation are something I won't be sharing with you so easily, Senpai~] She put on a faux blush and looked away. [Asking for me to tell you how I was born, what a gross and pervy senpai you are!]
I let out an exasperated sigh, though there was no stopping the heat coming to my cheeks. Having been dealing with BB for three months, I had grown somewhat used to her teasing. However, I couldn't stop myself from blushing whenever she did. Plus, if I stopped reacting, then she would start getting more creative…
"Right," I tilted my head, cracking my neck loudly. "Let's see, it has been three months since I arrived… That means in another three months, 'canon' should start… Presumably with Nozomi going to Hargeon and the events playing out as normal… Or close…"
I had studied Charm Magic, and I was very confident it wouldn't affect Nozomi. Nozomi was an A-Class Mage however, in terms of sheer magical power, she was on par with S-Class. It was just that Nozomi was incapable of accessing all of that power at the moment without hurting herself. If she access too much of her own power, then her flames would be too strong for her resistance and burn her.
Bora- who I'd done some research on- was only a D-Class Mage, maybe low C-Class at best. The only reason he even had a fancy title was because of his good looks and high ratings in Sorceress Weekly back during the time he was active in Titan's Nose.
The thing about Charm Magic was that it had some inherent limitations. Charm Magic only really worked on those with low magic power and mental fortitude, hence why Lucy was able to be bewitched since her magic power was high, but her fortitude was low at the time. However, Natsu- in the original- was able to accidentally snap her out of it through his actions. Hence why I was confident Nozomi would be fine as she had exceptional mental fortitude and impressive magical power.
It did explain why all the strongest Dark Mages didn't just learn Charm Magic and use it on people like Erza and then use her to take the strong women in other guilds for themselves. It was just completely ineffective on people like her, with insane magical power and an iron will.
"Have I done anything worthwhile to obtain another Gacha Roll?" I asked BB. I sincerely doubted it, but it was worth asking.
[Nope!] She smirked in amusement. [You'd better hurry up Senpai, or your next gacha roll is only going to be when you get to canon!]
I just rolled my eyes, but I wasn't too fussed about it if I was honest. Time Magic and my Dragon Slaying Magic were enough for me… That being said, I would like to pick up something like Freed's Dark Écriture, or Levy's Letter Magic… Freed's in particular appealed to me more, his barriers were some of the best ones in Fairy Tail. I mean, he was capable of trapping Makarov of all people just with the words 'nobody over eighty may cross.'
I sighed… All that being noted, I did want to get promoted to B-Class so that I could take the mission with Duke Everlue… Celestial Spirit Magic wasn't hard to use, in fact it was one of the most common magics given you could buy Celestial Spirit Keys from shops.
I myself actually had a Celestial Spirit Key; a Silver Key that I'd been given in lieu of money for one of my quests. The Spirit Key of the Great Bear, Polaris, also known as Ursa Major. However, it was currently sitting in my Re-Quip space as I hadn't yet taken the time to learn Celestial Spirit Magic.
"Right," I shook my head and got up from my bed, going over to a drawer and grabbing a piece of paper to write on. To save myself some trouble, I was going to write out some useful magics that I would learn if possible.
Archive, Dark Écriture (or similar rune-based magic), Celestial Spirit, Memory Make, Gravity, Enchant, Three Great Fairy Spells, Heavenly Body, Arc of Embodiment, Memory Control, Reflector, Thought Projection.
I hummed as I looked over the list and nodded… I'd only listed one 'Lost' Magic on the list in Arc of Embodiment and that was only because of how broken that magic was… Seriously, the ability to create anything using only your imagination so long as it wasn't 'alive' in the sense that anything created wouldn't have a soul.
Rustyrose might have thought he was using the magic to its full potential, but only someone who was reincarnated or transmigrated like me could really push it to its limits… Arc Reactors, advanced technology capable of connecting to other dimensions… The sky was the limit with that kind of magic, and Rustyrose was nowhere close to using that magic to full strength.
If I got my hands on that magic, I would be incredibly powerful. Though, I doubted I'd find anything about it easily unless I raided Grimoire Heart's ship and found their library during their invasion of Tenrou Island… And I didn't plan to be on Tenrou Island during that time unless I was chosen for the S-Class Trials.
I sighed and shook my head, slipping the paper in the drawer and deciding to lay down. While I may not feel tired, I really wanted to get some sleep since I'd spent most of the last month awake and reading books. I just wanted to get some rest, even if my body didn't need it.
"I'm gonna sleep," I yawned. "Night, BB."
[Sleep well, Senpai~]
I curled up under the covers and closed my eyes, slowly drifting off to sleep.

"Oh, you're finally planning to start taking C-Class Quests?" Mavis asked as I sat at the bar, enjoying a drink of orange juice.
"Yes," I nodded at her words. "At least, I plan to start taking them soon. I think I'm going to head to Crocus and visit the Library first to study up on some magics that interest me."
"Such as?" She prompted.
"Gravity Magic," I told her. "And Enchant Magic. If I can enchant say… A pair of bracelets and ankle bracelets with Gravity Magic, I can use them for strength training to build up my muscles."
"Interesting!" She hummed. "I've never thought of that particular combination before… Yes, I can see how that would help with building up muscles and strength, but you would have to take proper breaks between sessions to allow your muscles to heal properly in order to develop the way you'd want."
Indeed… I may be a Flugel, but I was no Saiyan. Saiyans could train for exceptionally long periods of time before they needed to rest… Even though being a Flugel gave me enhanced growth, it was better to not risk anything as far as I was concerned. Slow and steady won the race.
"I'm also interested in learning Fairy Tail's Three Great Fairy Spells," I admitted. "However, I understand fully those spells aren't just things that should be taught to everyone in the guild. Especially a newcomer like me who has only been here for three months."
"The Three Great Fairy Spells…" She murmured, her tone seeming slightly reminiscent. Enough that other people might not have noticed, but I picked up on it. "I'm surprised you know about those three spells."
"I did spend a lot of time in the library," I told her. "Some books alluded to the spells, even mentioning their names, but they never gave instructions on how to use them. Which, again, I fully understand and probably for the best."
She smiled and nodded. "Well, Crocus is a good place to study magic… They tend to have just about every kind of magic you can think of there, but I wouldn't count on getting to the magics you want to know so easily. Normal people can only go to the first floor, and Mages are restricted depending on their Class. As a C-Class, the magics you want might not be available to you… Maybe at A-Class or S-Class you can find what you want, but before then?"
"What about Archive Magic?" I probed.
"Archive?" She blinked. "That's a relatively newer magic… Oh, I see now. You mentioned that Flugel have exceptional minds, allowing you to remember far more than normal people… Yes, I can see how Archive would definitely be a good magic for you… A rather difficult one to learn, but I can see how it would appeal for you."
"Memory-Make is also a magic I have an interest in."
She blinked. "I've never heard of that magic personally… But I think I can get the gist… It would be similar to Gray's Ice-Make, right? But instead of using ice, you would use your memories as a medium to manifest things that you've recorded in your mind."
She put a hand on her chin. "Interesting. A magic like that would be exceptionally powerful, I think I could see someone making it to S-Class purely using that kind of magic."
"I'm also open to suggestions on other magic to learn," I told Mavis.
"Well… Basic elemental magic- Fire, Water, Earth, Air- are always useful to have in one way or another. If you have Fire Magic, then Nozomi would be a good mage for you to partner up with since you can keep her topped up in terms of magic power… Of course, any Lost Magic you can find is always a great boon given those tend to have exceptional abilities."
I hummed as I listened to her words, taking them all on board… She was the expert here, even if she was pretending not to be, and I would gladly listen to her… The reason I'd not listed Lost Magic on my list was because I knew how hard it was to get usually… Sure, I knew Dragon Slaying Magic thanks to the system but surely, I couldn't just…
Suddenly a thought filtered into my mind… A thought I hadn't considered, one with such potential that I immediately stopped thinking about it and locked it away in the deepest recesses of my mind… It was a dangerous thought; one I was certain would lead to me making a stupid move.
I shook my head quickly, dismissing the thought from my mind as fast as possible, before I focused on Mavis once more. "Any lesser known magic or underappreciated ones you'd suggest?"
She hummed before she grinned mischievously and shook her head. "No, I think I've helped you enough on this front, Ash. Like Master says, we should guide you to the water but let you drink for yourself."
Ah… So, basically, hint and give help with what I'm working on but leave it up to me to make the final choice.
"Fair enough," I held my hands up in surrender and smiled as I looked into Mavis's eyes.
Eyes…
Eye…
Eye Magic.
A thought struck me once more, but this time I let it fill me…
Eye Magic… Magic utilising the eyes, which the user could modify to their liking… Did I not know of countless eye powers throughout the Multiverse with which I could all boil down into Special Eye Magic made just for me?
"Mavis… Do we have any books on Eye Magic?"
"Eye Magic?" She blinked. "Well yes, of course, given all of the Thunder Tribe save Laxus himself all use Eye Magic… You read whichever book catches your eye, so you may not have read it in the library yet."
"Can you show me?"
"Of course, right this way," she smiled as she lead me towards the library, and I quickly followed.
I felt a grin crawl to my lips as I followed Mavis to the library… If I succeeded in my goal, then this might be one of the most powerful magics I might ever create… And I was looking forward to seeing just how much I could do with it!
