Chapter 14: The Edge of Despair
An icy gust of wind assaulted both Alyssa and Markus as they exited the portal. Gazing around at their surroundings, they were standing in a vacant field filled with snow and mountains laid behind them. The two of them carefully trudged through the depths of snow to the edge of a cliff and down below them they could see a small village and, in the distance, away from the it stood a dark, and brooding fortress of black stone.
“Do you think this titan the assassin was referring to lives in that fortress?” Markus motioned to the large structure in the distance.
“I don’t believe so; with a title like that, I have feeling his place of residence would be more.” Alyssa answered.
“More what?” Markus asked.
