In Sync with the music

"The company will be opening another branch this Thursday and am inviting you all to attend," Tatiana said.

They were all out for lunch.

"That's what I like to hear, free food and strong nice drinks" Patricia laughed.

"You're not drinking anything," Eric said.

"But Babe, please just a little," she said.

"No, the last time you did we almost missed an important client cause you were late. And Friday we have another meeting so I can't risk it" he explained.

"Okay," she sighed.

Gabriel looked up, "Mommy, pee," he said.

"Choose between Uncle Eric or Uncle Mark to take you, " Patrica said.

"Why are you making him choose, "Alex asked

"So we will know who he likes best" she answered.

Gabriel looked up between Mark and Eric, "both, let's go" he said

Patricia scowled while the others laughed.

Eric and Mark both took him to the washroom.

Alex and Tatiana turned to her, "So you not drinking anything"

"I was just saying that to please him but we all know am going to drink until I pass out. I can t let all that expensive alcohol go to waste"

Alex frowned, "You know too much is bad for your health"

"Yes, I know that".

"And Eric is doing it cause he cares about you," Tatiana said.

"Okay guys, I will only drink one glass of wine... And maybe two of champagne and more three of..."

"Stop you already ruined it when you added the champagne," Tatiana said...

And like she said, Patrica drank wine mixing it with champagne.

"Have you seen Patricia?" he had asked

"No, I last saw her at the bar," Alex said.

Tatiana gulped down another glass of champagne.

"You have Steve by your side but keep staring at Jack" whispered Alex.

"I can't help but feel so angry, he knows what she did to me but still let her be his date for the evening" she gritted her teeth.

"Ana, you need to calm down. No one here likes her, even if she's trying her best o fit in they are all looking at her with scorn" Steve said.

"Look at her gloating, if she does anything funny am taking her down," she said.

The music changed to slow music. Steve asked Tatiana for a dance.

They moved to the dance as the audience cheered, they all wanted her to dance.

His hand slid to her waist pulling them closer, she placed hers around his neck staring into his eyes.

Slowly they moved to the slow beat, letting it guide them. She smiled back at him as he swung her around. The music changed with them still on the dance floor. Turning her around he let go, and she landed in Jack's arms and Rina into Steve. They had exchanged partners. Still moving she turned away from his gaze.

Rina kept looking back at Jack seeing him lost in Tatiana just like everybody else was. She let go of Steve and walked away.

He smiled leaving the dance floor and returning to the table.

Jack continued, elegantly moving Tatiana around as she gracefully carried herself back to him.

They were in sync with the music, he pulled her close and she stared into his eyes with a smirk on her face.

"You seem happy with your new girlfriend," she said.

He smiled, "Are you jealous"

She chuckled gently putting her hand away as his arms held her waist while she bent backwards following her with his own body. They were huffing as their eyes looked into each other.

"Why would I be jealous of a spoilt little brat? She has nothing that can compete with me" she said.

He moved his head coaching it in her neck taking a quick sniff and smiled, "your right no one can compete with you"

He swung her around and back to her and they stopped with the music.

Everyone clapped at their performance. She thanked them walking back to her table.

"That looked amazing, didn't know you could dance," Steve said

"I took some lessons when I was still abroad for such an occasion," she said.

"It almost looked like you practised for it, it was so perfect" Alex clapped.

"Not we didn't, we just followed the music," she said.
