Liv had just left the office to head to the warehouse when I called for Luke to come to my office, I had noticed something off about the man since I first met him the day before but I couldn't confront him about it then because I was with Liv, so I hired him.



His eyes were a total sell, we phoenixes always had the eyes that could sale us out. The reddish brown eyes, and he had them too but his were darker, which meant he was just a new one. Many humans do have brown eyes too but we differ because ours has a hint of red in it.



Luke walked into my office after some time and looked worried alittle, he might have thought I called him to complain about something judging from his expression. I was seated behind my desk with a pen in my hand. On seeing him, I felt it again. The same feeling I got when I first saw him enter the office for an interview. The feeling of knowing.



" You called" he said with respect.
