A Rematch and a Different Way of Fighting

Before Terre and I fought, we had a little break to recover the energy I used to summon the Spirit Armour and Weapon. Mother says I shall get used to the energy it takes and be able to summon it while feeling hardly any toll on the body.

So we all chatted for a while, and we got onto the subject of why Terre moved her colony to that mountain in the first place.

"Our original colony was attack by a powerful race of wolves that intruded onto our territory. They called themselves the Kage Clan. They had fur the colour of the midnight sky and a rather crazy look in there eyes. They manipulated Dark Element Magic really adeptly as well. Their leader is a rather terrifying looking beast. He is a wolf like them of course, but he has a massive body with scars all over that have left bald patches in his fur. His eyes looked bloodshot and insane and his lack of communication meant his only goal was to try and destroy the colony, no questions asked."

Terre turned our way when she realised that we were not responding to her story.

"Haaah my ladies need to learn to control yourself when someone mentions another being who could be remotely strong…"

When she looked at us, she could tell we were in a trance, picturing the demonic being that she described to us. As well as thinking about fighting it of course.

"Ah! Sorry Terre…" I looked down and apologised.

"Hehe yes, very sorry Terre…" Mother also apologised.

"Haahh, it's fine. Anyway, as I was saying I tried to communicate with the leader, but he just went ahead and killed a lot of my minions. Once I realised talking was not going to work, I used a lot of my mana to put up a lot of obstacles between us and escaped with as many minions as I could."

So Terre used to have a larger colony but the wolves killed a ton of them huh. Terre was not to sad that she lost so many of them though, to Colony Queens the minions are just seen as pawns. After all, they are just monsters with no real intelligence.

"Hmmm, we shall have to keep an eye out in case these wolves head over to this area, not that I believe they will be that much of a threat to me." Mother says confidently.

I eventually recovered enough to be able to have my rematch with Terre. I was incredibly excited to see her true strength when she goes all out. Mother says she will stop the fight if things get to dangerous, as Flame Dragons tend to get carried away when they fight. Not to mention I also have the [Berserker] class now which will only add to my lust for battle.

Terre and I got into position at opposite ends of the clearing. Terre had gotten changed into some light armour, apparently she is more about speed and planning, rather than brute force like Mother and I.

She also had four swords in each of her hands. They were not like the old rusted ones that we had found all over the castle and city, these looked new and deathly sharp. Though she then sheathed them before the battle started.

I saw them earlier and asked were they had gotten the armour and weapons from. They told me that while I was unconscious after my first fight with Terre, Mother had gone to a Human town and bought a bunch of stuff. That included the weapons and armour that Terre has, as well the clothes that Mother and Terre dressed me in, from that scarring day.

"Okayyy, you two ready?" Mother says as she gets into her role as referee.

We both nod in anticipation.

"Annnnnnnd FIGHT!"

I use my [Body Strengthen] skill straight away and send myself flying towards Terre.

"Fufu, you are too predictable my lady…"

Just before I get to Terre, she throws up a thick earthen wall between us. I tackle into it leaving a large crack where I made impact with it.

One more hit and I should be through the wall, I thought but…

"Huh?" I let out a noise in surprise.

A large hand comes out of the ground next to me and tries to restrain me. I jump backwards avoiding the large earthen hand from grabbing me.

Just as I think I have foiled her plan, another earthen hand pops out of the ground behind me. This one I could not avoid.

"Shit!" I shout as I realise my mistake of jumping back without checking.

This hand doesn't grab me, but instead slaps against my back sending me hurtling back towards Terre's earthen wall.

I grimace at first due to the slight pain, but then I realise...

Haha! Thought you could play me, eh Terre. But I shall just smash straight through this wall and get to you, I have already damaged it enough to get through in one strike!

I used [Body Strengthen] in my fist and put all my strength into punching through this wall.

"HYAHHHHHH!" I made impact and went straight through very easily.

"HAHA! TERRE I HAVE COME TO GET YOU BACK FOR OUT SMARTI… Wah!"

I got through to the other side certain I would see Terre's shocked face, but the only thing that awaited me on the other side was another large earthen hand.

I didn't have enough time to throw another strong blow at the hand and ended up just slamming into its open palm.

"Urghhh!" I let out another noise as slamming into it takes the wind out of me.

The hand then closes around me wrapping around me, with only me head and feet peaking out from the hand gripped around me.

Huh, where is she then if not behind here where I thought?

I then noticed that there was a hole in the ground behind the wall I had just smashed through. Moments later I had an answer to my question, Terre came out of the ground a bit away from me.

"Fufufu, do you see lady Alicia? As I said your attacks are too predictable."

The surprise on my face must have been visible, as Terre giggled again and explained what happened.

"A skill of ants from an early age is to be able to burrow into the ground, so I obviously had that skill when I was in the form of an ant. Now that I have evolved into a human form, I still possess the ability to burrow, however it is slightly different. Observe my lady."

As she said that, she put her hand to the ground, the ground began to crumble and move away from her which caused her sink into the ground.

"My Earth Element Magic has evolved and allows me to control to the earth to an extent that I can push apart the earth with my magic. Which leads to a burrow like affect. Sorry my lady, but as I said you need smarts as well as power to defeat powerful opponents." Terre says calmly with a smile.

But I was not calm at all.

ARGGGHHHH God damnit! I am so stupid! But there is no way I am letting this battle end here! I haven't had enough fun yet!

I begin to strengthen my body as much as I can with my skill and break out of the earthen hand.

"Fufufu I didn't think you would be this troublesome of an opponent Terre. You have surprised me in good way. But I am going to win this fight my way! With overwhelming power!" I shout as I get myself pumped and excited again.

"So you would like to continue my lady? Very well." Terre says with a calm smile as she gets ready for my next move.

"Hehe be careful Terre, Alicia seems to be slipping into her battle crazed state of mind. Just to remind you, I will be stopping the fight if it looks like you are going to hurt each other too much." Mother also has a calm smile on her face as she looks at both of us.

Once it looks like we are both ready to engage in battle again, I gather up a bunch of fire in my hand.

"Let's see how you deal with this then! [Fire Beam]"

I send a beam of fire down into the hole that Terre used to escape before.

She quickly jumps away from the hole where she came out of before.

"That's good. Using your head a bit more allows more possibilities when you are fighting my lady."

"Don't be silly Terre, I am just running on what my instincts are telling me to do right now!"

Quickly I jump towards Terre while she is still mid-air, to make sure she could not try and jump away again with ease.

She noticed me jumping and quickly summons two more large earthen hands.

"Not this time!" I shout as I throw my leg out for a kick and break the two hands that came out of the earth.

I keep advancing towards Terre, though she bought enough time to land and was ready to intercept me.

As I push off, I once again strengthen myself to get more power and momentum for when I get to Terre.

Just as I was about to reach her, she put up another earth wall and opened a large pitfall trap below the front of the wall. I had to get through with one punch or I would end up falling into the pitfall.

This was not a problem though as I anticipated she might do this and combined my power and Flames Element magic to damage the wall enough to break through.

When I broke through, I glanced at Terre's face.

Her face was still pretty calm, but she seemed slower to react this time.

She began to move one of her hands in the way to catch my fist.

"TAKE THISSSSS! Urghh..."

Just when I was about to make contact with her hand, I felt something tug me back by my collar and hold me up.

"Hehe time to stop there I think."

It was Mother. Though I was a bit confused and disappointed that she stopped the fight when it was getting good.

"Noooo! Why did you stop us?" I say writhing around in the air while still being held by the collar.

"Haha because you were just about to lose I am afraid. Have a look around."

I did as she said and I saw two large shadow tentacles coming out of the ground.

"She stopped your momentum by using the earth walls and would have caught your punch, then you would not be able to break free of her grip before being grabbed by the tentacles. And finally you would not have enough energy to break free from those tentacles. I just thought I would stop it a little bit early to explain what was going to happen before you get to tired and pass out."

"Hah? What are you talking about Mother, I am not tire…d… at…all… *Yawn*" a wave of fatigue hit me.

I realised that I must not have fully recovered from my earlier practice of my new skills, as well using a lot of energy in my fight with Terre.

"Hehe you really need to learn how to efficiently use your energy, but I suppose that is for another time. Now say thank you to Terre for the spar."

I sleepily nod at Mother while rubbing my eyes, I am no longer awake enough to argue back. I then turn to Terre.

"Thank you… Terre…" I say while Mother then changes my position into a piggyback position.

"You are welcome my lady Alicia. It was a splendid fight." Terre says with a kind smile.

I then gave her the best smile I could muster to show my gratitude and passed out.

---

"She really gave you a run for your money at the end there didn't she." The Dragon lady says proudly.

"Indeed, I was surprised she managed to muster that much strength even when she was already very fatigued. Lady Alicia will be very strong in the future." Politely said the Ant like woman.

"Fufufu Of course! She is my daughter after all."

They both then left for home laughing and praising the small Dragon that was riding on her Mothers back.

Helloooooo,

Little battle chapter here. Might not be great but I will try to improve as I go a long, so let me know what you think :) Just as a side note, she does not use her new skills in the fight becasue she still has to get used to them and it is her first fight in her humanoid form so she is sticking to what she knows best x)

As always, let me know if you have any questions, see any mistakes or have any suggestions. Just try to be nice about it x)

Thanks for reading :)
