It's An Emergency
The car ride over to the witch coven was filled with heavy silence. What if it wasn't a fluke? Dane didn't want Max to get his hopes up if the witches couldn't help him.
He knew he had always been a burden to his brother but this…this took the cake. Why did he have to be broken? Why? Wasn't it bad enough that he was a runt? How could this have even happened?
"I need to talk to Jezebel! It's an emergency," Max barked once they arrived.
The witch behind the desk looked at him pointedly and he sighed in exasperation. She was waiting for the code words. "The duck howls at the sky."
"I'll take you back."
She led them through the maze of hallways before stopping and knocking on one of the doors. "Jez! Max and Dane Redmond are here and say it's an emergency!"
