I Will Not Lie To My Lady

Ian opened the passenger side door for Ava and she blushed. He really was a gentleman. No guy had ever done things like this for her other than him. Somehow the action made her feel like a princess. She normally didn't have such heady thoughts. 

"So what have you been up to the past few days? We haven't had much of a chance to talk at work," he said as he started the car. 

Not much, to be perfectly honest. She had been hanging around at home with Zeldris and Kael like usual. "Just hanging out with my cousins. It seems like they'll be here indefinitely. At least they're helping me with rent."

Zeldris was anyway. Kael sort of made up for it though with all of the housewifely duties he had taken on. It was almost as if she had hired a housekeeper. 

Ian raised an eyebrow. "Is that so? Are they trying to settle down in Las Vegas?"
