Chapter 0 - Meet Dr. John Graham

This story takes place around a doctor named John Graham. His entire life was rather simple. He grew up with loving parents that had jobs they loved, he always had whatever he could want even though he didn't want a lot, and he had many friends growing up with. He even went for a challenging degree and managed to graduate earlier than others. He had a bright future, and was living the theoretical "American Dream". Although his life was fulfilled with happiness and relative satisfaction, John always felt that life was meaningless and boring. He had a normal childhood, with normal friends, and normal family and grew up to have a normal career that allowed him to continue living a normal life. John felt that living a stress-free NORMAL life was logically the best path to go down, but it left him empty and very unenthusiastic about everything. Even being a doctor working in the ER where anything could go through the front doors, barely gave John any real excitement. He always felt monotone like everything was standard protocol.

After thinking long and hard John had one last option that could spice up his life. If it didn't work he would have to die in this life hoping for a more satisfactory or at least interesting life after. He didn't really believe in reincarnation, but it was his only hope at this point. John pulled out his computer and started searching for open positions away from where he and his family and all his friends live.

"This will be my fresh start. Maybe if I leave behind this normal life, something interesting might be allowed to happen."

So with that said, John found, applied, and was accepted to work in a small hospital near Chicago. Set on a new path, a new life, a new adventure, John left his old normal life behind and ventured to the wild of Chicago, but who would have known that poor normal John bit off way more than he could chew.
