Chapter 5

Hadrian Pov

When he woke up that morning and came down he found that Dad had already left for Seattle ,looking at the clock he saw that it was just past four in the morning.

Knowing that no shops would be open at this ungodly hour even in Port Angeles he decided to start stripping down and demolishing the kitchen and get it ready to be renovated, Since the Diner opens at six o'clock he still had a lot of stuff to do before getting some breakfast.

He started to empty out the refrigerator and pantry and throw it out along with all the weird cookware which had dents and stuff.

By the time he was done with disposing of the waste it was already six am. So he decided to go upstairs get a shower and head out to the diner to grab some breakfast.

As he was pulling in to the front of the diner he saw quite a few curious looks as new cars were rare in forks especially one in his condition ,quite a few people recognized me and were surprised to see me.

As I sat down in the corner of the diner Cora came over "If it isn't little Rian Swan ,how are doing boy?

I'm fine Cora just moved in for high school

Oh where's Bella?

She comes in next week ,I came a little early to fix up the house and all

Aww that's so sweet ,she cooed

So bud what do you want for breakfast?

How about the Pancakes with blueberries and maple syrup.

Good choice coming right up, you want anything to drink with that ?

A black coffee to go

Ok, Hadrian it was nice seeing you.

After finishing up his breakfast and getting his coffee to go ,he headed straight home after all he had only four days without dad and only a week in total before Bella comes and they head to school if his mates come over to check on him he needs the house to look inviting and comfortable even if they don't need it and besides its a great gift for Dad ,especially if he ends up with Sue Clearwater like in the books or even another woman they would probably want the house a bit modernized and not haunted with his early marriage days with Renee lurking in every corner of the house

He started to demolish the cabinets and after nearly half an hour it was done then he went and turned off the main water supply to the kitchen and dismantled the sink.

After an hour the kitchen was bare all the broken cabinets and sink and all the trash was lugged out to the yard and he loaded it up into the truck bed of Bella' truck and started driving to the junkyard he saw the in charge of it and he got around 190 dollars for the junk he brought.

He was heading for Port Angeles, more specifically the hardware store ,he wandered around for nearly three hours to get everything he needed for the kitchen including paints, wood for the cabinets and other storage equipment he needed to build and a lot of power tools and a good sized sink and he even got some extra paints and a sprayer for the living room and he also picked up a wood stain and polish and some sinks for the bathroom and frosted glass for the shower and by the end of everything came up to nearly seven thousand dollars in total ,he bought so much stuff that he need help to load it into the back of the truck.

Afterword he went to a car parts shop and ordered an engine block and suspension and other doodads needed for the truck along with a new stereo to be delivered to his address in three days. It came up to three thousand dollars along with the delivery charges.

By the time he got back home with all of this it was nearly one in the afternoon he bought a smoothie and some donuts on the way back so he quickly polished that off and got straight back to work he intended on finishing at least a quarter of the kitchen today, after spraying on three coats of ivory paint the kitchen already looked brighter and bigger than before.

While he was waiting for the final coat of paint to dry he started building the cabinets and the storage shelfs for the kitchen.

By the time he was finished ,he'd nearly completed the kitchen the only things remaining were to connect the water supply to the sink and done the kitchen was finished when he looked at the clock he was surprised to see that it was past ten at night, he decided to skip dinner and head straight to bed after a shower and get started in the living room tomorrow.

The by the time he had gotten up it was already half past six and deciding to forgo breakfast fast he came downstairs and did the final bit of plumbing required in the kitchen and turned on the water supply and re checked everything on his list. The kitchen was complete and it was so different from before that you would hardly recognize it from the earlier yellow painted disaster.

Next he started puttering around the living room vacuuming dust and laying down the plastic sheets and taping off the outlets and baseboards and started to move all the furniture and tv and all the old pictures and everything into the garage and it took makority of the morning to get that done and by time he was done with it it was already time for lunch deciding to be lazy he ordered 2 meat lovers extra large for the afternoon as well as the evening.

And continued with the living room he was in last stages of removing the sofas when the bell rang, After collecting the pizza he sat down to eat and managed to polish off one extra large pizza by himself ,he was positively starving from all the heavy duty work, lugging around pieces of furniture.

After eating and throwing out the cardboard pizza box he got right back to word sanding down and re staining the hardwood floor he decided to go with a nice mahogany stain and it took up the rest of the day one of the reasons he chose that stain was because the kitchen floor was already done in the same shade and it would match providing a seamless look throughout the house and by the time was done buffing and polishing the banisters and stairs to match it was midnight.

So he decided to eat half of the second pizza he ordered in the afternoon and went to bed.

When he woke up the third day it was already 8o'clock in the morning he knew that Dad would be coming home tomorrow so he has to finish off the loving room and get started on fixing up the bathroom which was going to be shared by Charlie and Bella to make it a bit bigger and to provide more shelving it was already awkward for both of them ,there's no need to add a cramped bathroom along with it.

He spend the morning spraying three coats of light off-white paint on three of the walls and a brought warm woody brown on the accent wall where the tv was supposed to go along with the shelves which were going to be a nice light wooden stain.

As he worked he seldom had time to look at the clock and by the time the sun was setting he had finally finished lugging all the sofas and the Tv and everything he removed from the living room back in.

He was extremely happy with the results of his hard labor of three days the house looks good and well maintained ,not like they were rolling in money but presentable and cozy all the same and he was dead on his feet so after quickly scarfing down the last 3 pieces of the leftover pizza he climbed up the small stairs to the attic and trudged into his bathroom and took a quick shower and fell face first into the bed. The last thing he saw before he fell asleep was the pillow.

The next day he woke up by 5 am again and started clearing out the overhead cabinet in the bathroom and broke down the connecting wall to a small not used closet which was filled with dust and covens since dad lived alone and he had a built in closet this one was not used .He had already turned off the water supply and got down to it by the time Charlie's Cruiser rolled in to the drive way the bathroom was nearly all done, it was expanded and all the faucets were changed to black and he installed a small shower for two people after removing the tub along with the frosted glass cubicle and replaced the sink to be a two person one after knocking down the connecting closet the back had expanded by a good five feet plus and he was also able to fit in a big clubfooted tub also and he incorporated storage for spare towels and toiletries also the bathroom looked a far cry better than the earlier cramped disaster which for the life of him he couldn't image Bella and Charlie sharing.

After finishing up everything by the time dad came home he was extremely happy since he couldn't wait to see the look on his face grabbing his camera to take pictures(read BLACKMAIL) on the way down as he heard his dads car pulling in he rushed toward the door as he heard the keys jingling. And I could wait to give back the extra leftover money also and see him protesting about it and would gladly take great pleasure in tricking him into accepting the money back.
