Chapter 2: These weapons feel just like they do in real life!.

*Micheal POV*

[You Have Spawned In The Village Of Belleau Woods]

As I opened my eyes I saw a strange notification in front of me that quickly disappeared as I now stood in the middle of what seemed to be some sort of bar like the type you would see in wild west movies that had been abandoned. There were flipped over tables and chairs and the bar area where one would drink looked ancient like no one had been inside this building for centuries.

Man this is not what I thought this place would look like. And I don't even see anyone around here is this some sort of test or something?. Nah a videogame wouldn't just throw a new player out to the wolves they usually have like tutorials or something like that to teach players how to play.

I mean I think that's the way videogames work.

Almost as if on cue I heard a door open behind me as a man walked out of a small room that was behind the bar. The guy seemed like the stereotypical overexaggerated veteran like the type you see in war movies. They were clad in medieval chainmail armor which exposed there muscular arms that looked like a bodybuilders and they had heavily tanned skin. They were pretty tall around 6'3" and had short grey hair and a rugged looking face and for some reason had an eyepatch around their right eye.

"Is this a player or an AI?. Maybe this is apart of the game." I thought to myself as the guy spoke in a calm yet deep voice that almost sounded like thunder as he spoke.

"So another mercenary actually got deployed here?. Well its been a while since anyone was actually sent here and from the looks of it you seem to have no idea what your doing. Well I guess that's why I'm here to teach rookie immortals like you. Even if you reek of the undead." The one eyed guy said in a slightly annoyed almost like he was judging me as he stared at me smugly.

Whoa this game is ridiculously realistic this guy talks and looks exactly like a normal person would. Hell even the way this guy insults me is exactly like real life.

"You know what even if this is a game I don't need to get insulted by you!. This is just a game I'm sure I can easily learn how to play without your help." Micheal said nonchalantly as he walked away from the man behind the counter and approached the front door of the building as he prepared to leave. He immediately regretted this decision however because as he opened the wooden door a wave of extremely cold air and snow filled the building causing him to instinctively shiver as he felt this intense wave of cold. It felt like he had just walked into a winter storm without a jacket.

"I-Isn't this a game how did they make it feel so cold?!." I stuttered a bit as my body shivered due to the extreme cold as a flurry of weird looking notifications appeared in front of me.

[WARNING: Extreme temperatures detected]

[You have been effected by the [Freezing] effect every 30 seconds your health will decrease by 5 unless you apply a [Cold Resistance] effect]

"NOPE not dealing with that." I said to myself as I immediately slammed the door shut before I start dying. Jesus christ how am I supposed to play this game if I'm just going freeze to death everytime I go outside?!.

As I wiped off the bits of snow that still clung to my body I heard laughter behind causing me to turn around to see the one eyed guy from before laughing hysterically. In fact I could see tears running down the guys eye as he continued laughing to the point he begun banging his hand on the table in front of him in an attempt to calm himself down.

"HAHAHAHAHA W-What type of idiot thinks running around in these mountains with nothing but your flimsy little clothes is a good idea?. You obviously can't use magic so its not like you have any resistance to the cold. You'd be lucky to even last a minute without freezing to death dumbass!." The guy said in between fits of laughter as he continued laughing hysterically. All Micheal could do was stare at the guy blankly without saying a word because he knew that the guy was right and in this situation he was the idiot.

"Hehehe god that was funny. Lucky for you dumb man I have just the equipment to help you survive in this weather without freezing to death. But before I give you this equipment as your trainer I need to teach you the basics on how to survive." The guy said as he wiped a tear from his eye as he finally calmed down from his earlier fit of laughter.

As he said this a flurry of notifications appeared in front of me.

[New Quest Received!]

[Basic Combat Training]

[Quest Difficulty: F]

[Description: Former general Leonidas wants to teach you the basics of combat and survival it is recommended you accept this quest]

[Yes] [No]

"Huh so I guess this is the tutorial I was thinking about earlier." I thought as I hit the yes option.

[Yes]

As soon as I hit the yes option the guy snapped his finger causing a large hole in the ground to appear underneath my feet. All I could do was let out a yelp of surprise as I fell into the pit unable to do anything.

"AAAHHH CRAP!." Micheal shouted loudly as he fell from the sky and landed on the metal ground beneath him causing him to groan in pain as he rose to his feet as his body now ached in pain after falling from the sky.

"H-How does a videogame hurt so badly?. Who even decided that making it so if you get hurt in the game you feel actual pain was a good idea?." I winced a little as I stood to my feet but surprisingly the pain begun to lessen even though in real life I probably would've died in real life had I fallen from the sky like that. I guess this is something all the people who play this game have to deal with huh?.

"Hehehe Its always funny when they fall from the sky like that. But hey it seems your tougher then average when it comes to dealing with pain so why don't you get up and get ready. Its time for you to learn how to actually survive in this world!. Who knows maybe once I'm done with you you wont be so hopeless!." I heard a familiar voice in front of me say causing me to look forward to see the same Leonidas guy from before looking at me with a wide grin on his face. As I checked my surroundings I realized that my surroundings sort of looked familiar.

"Wait a minute am I in a firing range?." I thought to myself as I checked my surroundings. Yes this building was unlike any I had ever seen as the walls floors and even the roof looked like it was made out of purple metal like something out of a sci-fi. Hell it was almost like someone had set up a firing range inside of a underground bunker.

"Welcome to the slammer this place used to train all sorts of advanced warriors but now here you are inside these sacred halls wasting my time!. You think you can make a name for yourself when you don't even know how to survive? And you have the audacity call yourself a mercenary?. Someone who actually had talent should've been born a immortal not you!." The guy shouted at me as I just stared at him blankly. Hes not even teaching me anything hes just insulting me.

"You know in a weird way he kinda reminds me of my old drill sergeant back during basic training." I thought chuckling a little at the memory of me the first day I joined the marines. On that same day I accidentally spilled a water bottle on the same drill sergeants face and I had to do so many push ups were numb for like a week.

I was snapped out of my little nostalgia bubble as Leonidas continued shouting at me. I should probably pay attention to what this guy is saying if I actually want to play this game properly.

"First things first if you want to be able to fight you need to always know what type of state your in. A lot of idiots have died on the battlefield because they thought they were perfectly healthy when in reality they were basically knocking on deaths door. Too see your status you should always focus on your health bar hunger bar mana bar and stamina bar. If you look in the top right corner of your vision you'll see all four of these bars and always remember to make sure none of these bars get to low as they are essentially your livelihood. The green one is your health the blue underneath it is your stamina the orange one underneath your stamina is your hunger and the last one which is a dark purple color is your mana. Word of advice even though your health bar is the most important out of the four of these bars your stamina is the only thing that gives you the energy to fight and without it your a sitting duck and wont even be able to move. And the only way to recover your stamina is with expensive potions or by eating so always make sure your hunger bar is full. And to fill your hunger bar you must eat food." Leonidas said.

I followed Leonidas advice and saw that yep at the corner of my peripheral vision were these four little bar thingies.

"Next onto stats specifically your stats. Everyone has a menu which will allow them to access their items and control their stats. Of course only way to increase your stat points is by leveling up but when you eventually do level up your going to want to access your stats. To do that all you have to do is simply think of the word menu in your head."

"This is all pretty simple instructions for such a well made game. Well at least this isn't one of those super complicated strategy games I hear about." I thought as I followed the guys instructions and thought of the word menu in my head. As I did so some sort of weird screen appeared in front of me.

"Great now that you used your remaining brain cells too open your menu let me tell you about your special stat. All classes have the standard stats like strength speed intelligence endurance but depending on your class you will have a special stat which grants you special perks unique only to your class. In your case as a marksman your special stat is precision and you will most likely specialize in precision like most marksman. Here let me show you what happens when you increase a certain stat." Leonidas said as he snapped his fingers causing the information in front of me to slightly alter.

[Strength=Increasing your strength increases your physical damage and allows you to wield heavier weapons]

[Endurance=Increasing your endurance will raise your health and stamina by 10 for each stat point you put into endurance and increases your physical defense by 10%]

[Intelligence=Increasing your intelligence will raise your mana by 10]

[Precision=Increasing your precision will increase your accuracy with firearms]

"Alright boy now that you figured that out how to survive its time for me to show you how to a proper marksman. Let us begin your combat training 101!." Leonidas said as he snapped his fingers causing a wooden table to appear out of thin air which had various weapons spread out on the table.

"Alright kid as a marksman its important to know the different type of weapons you'll deal with as a marksman. Obviously marksman specialize in firearms and while different types of guns fall into different categories like snipers shotguns rifles ect ect but all of these guns fall into two different categories." Leonidas said as he grabbed a strange futuristic looking rifle off the table.

"The first category is magic guns. Unlike normal guns that use gunpowder and live ammunition these guns use mana crystals and magic powder instead to attack with magical bullets some of them being enhanced with magical effects like the shock or burn effect. These types are quite handy during long battles as they weight practically nothing and the bullets have no recoil and are not affected by things like air resistance. Against unarmored opponents like most beasts these types of guns are very effective. Observe." Leonidas said as he picked up the futuristic rifle and turned around. As he did so various metal human shaped targets appeared in the distance similar to the targets you would find in a real life firing range.

As these targets appeared Leonidas turned around and aimed their rifle towards the targets.

*BLAST* *BLAST* *BLAST*

Leonidas fired multiple rounds at the targets but instead of normal bullets their rifle fired some sort of strange laser like something out of a sci-fi and as each bullet connected with the target they left a large burn mark on each target.

"While these weapons may be effective against unarmored opponents they lose their effectiveness against opponents clad in heavier armor and stronger monsters who tend to have stronger skin. If you ever run into an opponent with heavy armor the smart thing to do is to switch to the second category of guns called standard guns." Leonidas said as he put the rifle they had in their hands back onto the table as they reached for another weapon which was a handgun which was identical to guns you would find in real life.

"This handgun is called the Sig Sauer M17 and unlike a magic weapon this gun shoots real bullets and uses gunpowder. Armor gets torn to shred by automatic weapons and while they may not hit opponents with magical status effects the bullets these things shoot deal piercing damage that will kill almost any opponent as long as you have good enough aim and only the strongest of shields are effective against live rounds. Even dragons are not dumb enough to run into a field full of cannons unless they want their head to get torn off their body." Leonidas said as he turned around and aimed their handgun towards the targets and begun to unload their magazine.

*BANG* *BANG* *BANG*

Surprisingly I wasn't fazed by the loud gunshots that came from the handgun like I would be in real life and as the bullets slammed into the targets. And unlike the magic gun that only left scorch marks on the targets these bullets began to tear off literal chunks of the target like they were made of straw.

*Click* "Dang ran out of bullets I was hoping to show off a little bit more." Leonidas said as a small click came from their handgun signaling his clip was now empty.

"As you can see standard guns are pretty good if you want to deal lots of damage but they have their drawbacks. Unlike magic guns you have to worry about things like recoil and air resistance so they are harder to use then magic rifles. Also some of these guns tend to overheat so make sure not to burn through ammo to quickly. Now hopefully you remember all of this because now its time for you to learn how to shoot." Leonidas said as he casually reloaded the handgun in his hand.

"Uh ok then hopefully this wont be too different then what I'm used to." I thought to myself as I approached the wooden table in front of me which had various guns spread out on it. Some of them I recognized as standard military firearms while others looked like something not even from the same planet.

"Now before you begin shooting at these things like a maniac I want you to aim at the targets." Leonidas said as he snapped his fingers. As he did so the slightly destroyed targets were replaced by brand new targets that looked perfectly fine. He then proceeded to hand me the now full handgun in his hand which I took.

"What is this weird circle thing?. Also the way this gun in my hand feels exactly is exactly the same as they do in real life. But then again it has been a while since I held a gun in real life." I thought as I pointed the handgun making sure to enter a proper stance and aimed the pistol at the targets in front of me. As I did so I saw a strange looking circle appear on the target and as I moved the pistol a little the circle moved in the same direction as the pistol.

"If you see a circle that means your aiming your gun. Whenever you want to aim your guns that circle will tell you the general direction of where your aiming but its not guaranteed to help you land all your shots perfectly. The bigger the circle gets the less accurate your shots will be and the smaller the circle gets the more accurate your shots will be. The best way to increase your accuracy is by putting stat points into your precision." Leonidas explained.

"Hm so this is some sort of aim assist to help players actually use guns. This is pretty smart because if this VR game perfectly replicates real life then a majority of people wont know how to use guns or fight with swords and stuff. If this assist didn't exist the game would basically be unplayable for most people." I thought as I continued aiming at the target in front of me. As I did so I could see the circle getting a bit smaller as I focused in on the targets head.

"Now I want you too put your finger on the trigger but make sure not to actually pull the trigger. You should see a red laser come from the barrel of the gun as you do so."

As I followed Leonidas's instructions I could see a red laser shoot out of the pistols barrel and connect with the target in front of me. At first the laser was the size of a small log but as I focused on it it slowly shrunk down to the size of a straw.

"That is another function that will help you aim better. If you want to see what direction your bullet is about to go just put your finger on the trigger and just like the circle you see whenever you aim the laser will tell you the general direction your bullet will go. But the bigger the laser is the less accurate your aim will be but the smaller the laser is the more likely it is your bullet will hit. Word of advice don't rely on this too much because any nearby opponents will also be able to see this laser and will reveal your position. Only put your finger on the trigger when your one hundred percent sure your going to shoot something." Leonidas said.

"Hm this is actually pretty useful and would be pretty overpowered if other people couldn't see the laser. For normal players this aim assist is probably very useful but for me its kinda annoying. This laser and circle are pretty distracting and I'm not using to having these type of things help me aim." I thought to myself as I examined the handgun in my hands.

"Hey Leonidas is their any way for me to turn off this aim assist?. I'm pretty sure I could shoot these targets even without it." I said causing Leonidas to raise his eyebrows in surprise as a small smirk crawled on his face.

"Oh? You think your already good enough to shoot without the aim assist?. Well if you wanna turn it off so badly all you have to do is think about turning it off in your mind but if you actually plan on doing it why don't we play a little game?." Leonidas said as multiple notifications appeared in front of me.

[New Quest Received!]

[General Leonidas's Challenge]

[Quest Difficulty: C+]

[Requirements for failure: Activating the aim assist even once will result in failure and failing to earn more then 500 points will also result in failure]

[Penalty for failure: Failure will result in your relationship status with Leonidas to enter negative and will result in you being banned from every store in Belleau woods until relationship status returns to neutral]

[Rewards: Depends on performance]

[Do you accept?]

[Yes] [No]

"Huh is this like a hidden quest or something that I got just because I wanted to turn off my aim assist?. For most new players the smart thing to do would be to decline this quest however...."

I turned to the table in front of me as I examined the various guns spread out on me. Including the pistol in my hands there were handguns assault rifles light machine guns sub-machine guns a shotgun and a sniper. If these are the guns I'm going to have to use to finish this quest I think I can finish this quest fairly easily. As long as I don't screw up of course.

[Yes]

[You have accepted the quest]

[Disabling aim assist]

"HAHAHA you have some spine in you I see!. Before you embarrass yourself let me quickly the rules of this game." Leonidas said as the targets suddenly begun to change color. The head of the target was now a bright golden color while the area where vital organs like the heart lungs ect ect would be was now a dark blue color. Every other part of the target was a dull grey color.

"The rules are simply hitting the head of the target is worth 50 points while the blue parts of the target are worth 20 points. Are only worth 5 points. The game will begin once you shoot that handgun you have in your hands but once you empty that gun you will have to move onto the next gun you see on this table. You cannot reload so your shots are limited and the game will only end when you either run out of ammo or the 5 minute timer runs out. But be warned missing any shots will result in you losing 10 points." Leonidas said while motioning the multi colored targets in front of me.

Oh well that's not so bad. If I time my shots write I could probably get more then 500 points easy.

Almost as if he was reading my mind an evil grin crawled on Leonidas's face as he spoke again.

"Oh and by the way don't think these targets are just going to let you gun them down without any resistance." Leonidas said as he snapped his fingers. As he did so the targets suddenly floated a few feet into the air before they begun floating around the room in a zig zag pattern.

Fuck moving targets.

"Hey how many bullets are in this magazine exactly?." I asked as I let out an annoyed sigh as I saw the moving targets float around the room.

"17 bullets are in that pistol exactly. If your getting scared and want to back out I will allow you to if you beg m-"

*BANG* *BANG* *BANG* *BANG*

*CLANG* *CLANG* *CLANG* *CLANG*

Leonidas couldn't even finish his sentence as his voice was drowned out by multiple gunshots as Micheal shot four rounds into an unlucky target who made the mistake of thinking it could safely float by Micheal leaving 4 holes in the blue area that coated its chest.

"Don't worry 17 bullets is more then enough I was worried I had gotten to rusty. After all the last time I shot a moving target was back at the academy." Micheal said as he begun unloading round after round into target after target covering the blue areas in holes.

6 years old.

That was how old Micheal was when his dad took him hunting for the first time. And on that same day when his dad wasn't looking Micheal took his fathers rifle and before his dad could realize what had happened Micheal had already killed something for the first time in his life by putting a bullet in between the eyes of a deer.

After a scolding the young Micheal their dad realized something that the US government would also realize years later when he joined the Marine Corps as a sniper.

They realized Micheal had a talent for shooting.

So for the rest of his youth his dad regularly took him hunting as the young Micheal honed his skills and at the age of 12 he won a gold medal at a shooting contest for kids at age. And at the age of 16 he won a silver medal at a national shooting contest and only lost by a single point.

But this was not the end of Micheal's shooting career because when he joined the marine corps his superiors recognized the large amount of talent Micheal had when it came to shooting. As a result he was quickly advised to become a sniper where he only impressed instructor after instructor with his skill with a gun. By the time he had graduated from the academy he left with a perfect score of 250.

And even on the battlefield his skill with a rifle only continued to impress those around him. While he wasn't no Simo Hayha or Chris Kyle he was able to rack up 47 kills in the 7 years he spent in the marines with 30 of them being confirmed as headshots.

However after his leg was injured and his sniping career ruined Micheal never thought he would ever shoot again. Yet here he was playing a hyper realistic videogame and shooting floating targets like they had just slapped his grandmother.

*BANG* *BANG* *BANG* *BANG* *Click* "Dammit I burned through the magazine to quickly." Micheal to muttered to himself as he put the empty pistol on the table in front of him and reached for the machine gun that had caught his attention earlier. He was to absorbed in the problem in front of him he didn't notice the shocked expression on Leonidas's face as he saw this.

"This guy didn't miss a shot its like hes magic with the gun!. He didn't try to hit the targets as they moved around and has already begun predicting their movement patterns. For some reason though hes only aiming for the blue parts of the target and isn't even interested in the targets head." Leonidas thought as he saw Micheal aim their rifle towards the targets.

*RATARATARATARATA* *RATARATARATA*

Micheal repeatedly shot in short bursts towards the targets specifically aiming for the targets body tearing their chests apart as he gunned down any unlucky target in front of him. The reason he was only aiming for the body of the targets and not the head was simple.

Aiming for the head wasn't the worth.

The average man may try and go for the targets head after all the head is worth a lot of points but even Micheal knows that even if he was given a sniper and told to aim for the head only he would only hit 7 out of 10 heads. That's why he decided shooting the parts worth 20 points with multiple bullets at once would give him more points then he would've gotten had he shot the head once. This way he was able to rack up points faster and safer.

"I have too keep on spawning these targets because this guys accuracy is turning my targets into swiss cheese!." Leonidas thought as he repeatedly snapped his fingers replacing the shredded targets as Micheal continued unleashing round after round into the surrounding targets.

Eventually Micheal heard the familiar click coming from his rifle as his gun ran out of ammo but he wasn't bothered by that as he put the rifle onto the table and reached for the nearby sub-machine gun. There he continued his slaughtering of targets.

*BRRRRT* *BRRRT *BRRRT*

Target after target fell due to Micheal's onslaught but this time it only took less then a minute until the rifle in Micheal's hand ran out of ammo. He let out an annoyed scoff as this happened before he reached for the shotgun in front of him.

This time though instead of immediately punishing the targets in front of him Micheal took a deep breath and aimed towards the targets in front of him and waited for the right moment. This time though as Micheal aimed their weapon their was no red laser coming from his barrel or a white circle telling him to aim instead their was a little aim attached to the shotgun. For a moment Leonidas was hopeful Micheal had run out of ideas that was until Micheal shot a nearby target.

*BOOM*

Both the head and chest of that target was torn open at the same time as Micheal put a slug into the target and this was only the beginning as he begun unleashing slug after slug into the surrounding targets.

"H-He wasn't struggling with a shotgun he was waiting for the perfect moment to get as many points from the target with a single shot. Since a shotgun shoots multiple pellets that spread out he waited until the target got close to him so that when the pellets hit the target it destroyed both the targets head and chest at the same time." Leonidas thought as he saw Micheal shoot 4 more slugs into surrounding targets before it ran out of ammo but that didn't bother him as he put the shotgun down before reaching the nearby light machine gun.

"Wait a minute I wonder." Micheal said as he examined the side of the gun specifically the various settings the gun had. Specifically a small switch which he flipped causing a small notification to appear in front of him.

[Semi-auto mode activated]

An evil grin crawled on Micheal's face as he begun firing round after round at the targets once again.

*BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM*

A dead look could be seen in Leonidas's eye as he saw the display of skill in front of him. Now not only was Micheal being more aggressive due to the large amount of ammo there weapon offered them but each round was as precise as ever as he aimed for the targets stomach area.

After firing more then 80 bullets into the targets he finally ran out of ammo and with only one gun left and a minute left on the timer Leonidas let out a sigh of relief as he watched Micheal reach for the sniper.

"Finally there is no way this guy has any experience with snipers. Only royal dwarven hunters have any experience with snipers." Leonidas thought as he saw Micheal aim at the targets.

Oh how wrong he was.

*BANG*

Leonidas's jaw dropped as he watched Micheal put a bullet into the head of a target that thought if they floated around from a distance they would be safe. Sadly they were not safe from the clutches of Micheal who had a small smirk on their face as they rapidly put 3 more bullets into the heads of unlucky targets who were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

"God this brings back memories it reminds me of my academy days. Except this is sort of more fun as their are stakes." Micheal thought as he put one more bullet into the head of a target emptying the snipers ammo.

"Hey how well did I do?. I don't think the timer went off yet but sadly I burned through all my ammo." Micheal said as he motioned to the various destroyed targets covering the floor.

"A-As much as I hate to admit it but you actually did very well. In fact I don't think I've ever seen anyone as talented with the gun like you are. You have earned my respect young man." Leonidas said as he tried to regain his composure from the incredible scene he had just witnessed.

"Oh I wouldn't say I'm talented. I just have some experience with this type of stuff after my last job." I said as various notifications appeared in front of me.

[Level up!]

"Oh yeah lets go baby!. I don't know if its normal for someone to get this many rewards for one quest but I'm not gonna complain about free stuff!." I thought excitedly as I attempted to try and see what type of rewards I had gotten but then I realized I had no idea how to use my items.

Leonidas had to stifle his laughter as he saw the confused look on Micheal's face. Its hard for him to believe that this confused guy is the same monster with the gun he saw earlier.

"If your trying to use your storage just think of the word storage in your mind and you'll be able to access your storage. Your storage is where you store and equip your items and coins its pretty simple." Leonidas said.

"Man could this guy read my mind or something like that?." I thought to myself as I did what he said and as I did so a small weird looking screen appeared in front of me.

[Storage]

[100 silver coins]

[Musket]

[+50 rifle ammo]

[+1 Winter Clothing Set]

[+1 inspect skill book]

"Hey this is pretty cool. Wait what is a skill book?." I thought to myself as I poked the skill book option.

[Would you like to equip inspect skill book?]

[Yes] [No]

[Yes]

As I hit yes a small leather book appeared in my outstretched hand. As I examined the book their wasn't any writing on it so I curiously opened the book.

[Would you like to learn lvl 1 inspect skill?]

[Description: lvl 1 inspect allows the user to inspect any item and its effects except items that are rare and above]

[Requirements: None]

[Would you like to learn lvl 1 inspect skill?]

[Yes] [No]

"Oh hey this skill seems pretty neat!."

[Yes]

[lvl 1 inspect skill aqquired]

As I hit the yes option the book pixelated into thin air and it was almost like information was being forced into my brain because somehow I instinctively knew how to use this inspect skill.

"By the way now that we've finished your little training lets get out of this little bunker." Leonidas said as he snapped his fingers and in the blink of an eye we were no longer in that weird bunker and now we were back in that old bar.

"Welp it was nice meeting you kid if you wanna leave the bar just put on that winter clothing set and you'll be able to walk out in the snow without freezing to death. Hopefully we meet again." Leonidas as I looked into my storage and equipped the winter clothing set.

[Item name: Winter clothing set]

[Item Rank: Uncommon]

[Description: A thick set of clothing consisting of a coat pants and boots made of various types of animal fur perfect for surviving the winter]

[Effects: +20 defense +Cold resistance effect]

As soon as I did the thin leather pants and shirt I was wearing before was replaced by a brown coat jeans and boots that was made from a combination of animal leather and fur.

Well I'll be damned this is very comfortable!.

"Welp I don't really know what to do now that you taught me the basics. But hey wish me luck because I'm just going to wing it!." I said as I begun to walk out of the building but right before I opened the door Leonidas spoke.

"Hey if you ever decide to leave this mountain you should go to Rocks city. Its a pretty easy city to get too located in the east and for a majority of marksman is the perfect place to improve. A marksman of your skill can probably make name for themselves pretty easily." Leonidas said right before he waved me off.

"Huh thanks for the advice maybe when I'm done here I'll check that place out." I said before exiting the building but this time instead of freezing I felt perfectly warm as examined my surroundings.

From the looks of things the villages theme is some sort of abandoned mountain village. Because other then Leonidas's bar the village seemed to be completely abandoned and was completely void of life.

"I should probably bring out my weapon." I thought to myself as I equipped my only weapon a musket.

[Would you like to equip a musket?]

[Item name: Musket]

[Item Rank: Rare]

[Weapon type: Rifle]

[Description: A rifle designed for powerful singular shots that rely on piercing damage to pierce through armor]

[Reload Speed: 30 seconds]

[Damage per shot: 25]

[Magazine: 5 bullets per magazine]

[Range: 100 yards]

[Yes] [No]

[Yes]

As I choose yes a standard looking rifle appeared in my hands which I gladly took and begun to examine.

"Hm it seems as though the musket can hold up to 5 bullets before needing to reload even though you cant in real life. It also seems that the only reload this thing is by slipping the bullets into the gun similar to a shotgun. In real life this is inaccurate but its better then having to spend more then a minute reloading after every shot." I thought as I begun to walk down the street of the village.

"Alright its time for me to begin my gaming advent-"

*CRASH* "ROAAAAAR!."

Micheal couldn't even finish his sentence because as he walked past a small house it exploded from the inside as an absolutely gigantic polar bear the size of a tank burst from the building and roared loudly shaking the very ground.

[You have been hit by the fear status all stats decreased by 50%]

[You have been hit by the paralysis status movement speed decreased by 100%]

"Well that's not very good." Micheal said in a nervous tone right before the giant bear clawed at their face beheading them in a matter of seconds.

[You have died!]

And this was the beginning of Micheal's very Very VERY painful gaming journey.
