Allicia stood up from bed and immediately walked into the bathroom. It was her first day at her new workplace that morning, she did not want to be late. She did not know much about the place she was resuming but she knew that it was one of the listed and established companies in the country and even the company had a place in the international space. Allicia could tell that she was not going to just any place.

She had gotten the work on recommendation from her boss at her previous workplace. Although her hard work paid out, she could not also ignore the fact that it was also sheer luck that she got recommended. There were people who were better than her and went to reputable institutions but she was picked out in the end. She would have even suspected that someone opened the backdoor on her before because she lacked most of the qualities that the job required. Whichever way, she was grateful for the job.

Allicia had a quick bath before returning to the room. She picked out a black formal suit outfit from her wardrobe and wore it. She combed her shoulder-length blonde hair and clipped it behind her ears. She wore simple crystal earrings that were not too obvious and also dabbed some pink gloss on her lips. She peered at her reflection in the mirror when she was done dressing and she nodded in satisfaction.

She packed some things in her black handbag and before stepping out of the room, she slipped her feet into a pair of black stiletto heels. She arrived in the living and was surprised to see that her babies had woken up and even more, Ava stepped out of the kitchen, she wore an apron and carried a tray.

"Wow! Here comes my working-class friend!" Ava exclaimed as she dropped the tray on the table.

Zia looked up immediately and her eyes fell on her mother, she left what she was doing and rushed to her mother's side. Even Zayn who was always uninterested looked up.

"Pretty!" Zia voiced. "Mummy is pretty!"

Allicia chuckled, she did not expect to see that the kids had woken up so early. She thought that she would not see them until she returned. After all, in the past, the kids would still be sleeping whenever she left for work. She rubbed her baby girl's hair and smiled at her.

"Is mummy really pretty?" She asked her daughter playfully.

"Mhm!" Zia bobbed her small head seriously, it was as though she wanted to should the intensity of how pretty her mother was.

"Big brother Zayn says that too, he said mummy is the prettiest mummy in the whole world!" Zia blurted out.

"Really?"

Allicia was stunned, she could not help but glance at her son. No one noticed that the little boy suddenly froze when he heard what his sister said, he looked up and glared at his sister. Just then, his eyes also met with his mother and his little face flushed red. He immediately looked down. Ah, the stony-faced little boy suffered a terrible embarrassment this time.

Allicia let out a beautiful laugh, she pinched the little girl's cheeks and pressed a feathery kiss on her forehead.

"My babies are the cutest babies in the whole world too!" Allicia said.

"Yes!" Zia bobbed her head in response.

Ava who was watching the scene from the side sighed, she could almost see pink bubbles flying everywhere across the room. It was torture for her fragile heart and her single soul. She clutched her chest and sighed again.

"You are the best," Allicia said and kissed her daughter again. Then, she stood straight and looked at the wristwatch in her hand. She had to leave now. Ava noticed her action and immediately came forward.

"You can't leave without having breakfast!" She voiced.

Allicia arched a brow, she was surprised. "You–"

"Here, sit down. You don't have to eat much but, I am telling you. Everything here will fill you with the energy that you need for the rest of the day!" Ava led Allicia to sit and spoke highly of the dishes on the table. Knowing that she could not disagree, Allicia sat down and picked a toast on the table. She ate unhurriedly until she was done. Then, she washed it down with a cup of coffee.

"Thank you," she said to her friend when she was done eating. Ava smiled and nodded, only then did she allow Allicia to stand up.

Allicia was ready to leave when Zia suddenly ran up to her.

"Mummy, before you leave, big brother and I made something for you!" The little girl voiced. She then rushed back to a table and grabbed something from her brother. She arrived in front of her mother again and signalled to her mother to bend down with her tiny fingers.

Allicia immediately bent to her daughter's height and stared at the spirit-filled eyes. Zia's fingers went up to her hair and she clipped something on.

"Done!" Zia's sweet voice blurted out.

Allicia subconsciously reached out to touch her hair and she felt something cold beside her clipped on her hair beside her hair. She did not need to ask for a mirror when it was brought to her by the little girl. She glanced at the reflection on the mirror and she saw a pink hair clip with crystal decorations embedded around the clip pressed against her hair. She was surprised.

"Do you like it?! Big brother and I made it for you! Big brother said that you must give a gift to the girl that you like, he also said that as long as the girl that you like wears the gift forever, she will not forget you!" Chatterbox Zia explained seriously.

Allicia was quite speechless for a long while, she gazed at her kids and could not help but love them more. What good deeds had she done to deserve such intelligent and loving children? It almost brought tears to her eyes. When she saw the little Zia still waiting patiently to be showered with praises, she smiled and reached out to touch her head. Then, she looked at Zayn who was also looking at her.

"Come, Zayn," she said.

The little boy immediately jumped down from the chair and walked up to his mother. Allicia bent down and hugged her kids. She pressed a kiss on the faces of the children and rubbed their heads.

"Thank you so much for caring for mummy, Mummy loves you both too!" She uttered.

Although reluctant, she stood up and stared at her kids one last time before leaving the house.

Ah, she really did not want to leave her babies at all!

Allicia's heart was filled with thoughts of her babies as she flagged down a taxi that took her to work.
