A Devil's Journey

In the void, a person wearing a black suit spoke to nothing and "if" somebody heard him, they might think this person is insane or crazy and should be in mental ins.

"You are confused?"

"Oh, I remember now..."

"I'm glad you're here and it seems you're confused about yourself?"

"Must be tough for you to be in it, infinitely times then die infinitely."

"I've been there on many occasions. Yet I felt pettiness for "it"."

" "It" who created the everything yet limited to its being and trapped in its creation."

"Then there's "everything" who's trapped in "its" own."

"Them, who're beings that can't escape. Yet here you or we are."

"I'm like an idiot who's speaking at nothing."

"I know you a little bit since we've met before and now."

"Well, this may be the result of being alone, but I'm glad there's someone like me and..." he stopped as he pondered with his eyes closed.

"I am an honest being and ill say this ahead so you can speak and ask something." "he" spoke, as a transparent figure slowly appears in front of him, standing at nothing.

"Welcome to the limitation, where all is limited. Except for the two of us. By now, you should have received your current memory."

'This? I. feel. free. for. some. reason.'

"I know right? I'm sorry but this place feels boring and empty, and since you're like me then you should have a part of the authority here. But trust me you wouldn't want to be in here for long 'As I alone will be alone' because that is the limitation.

You surprise me already when you arrive here and I can let you stay here for as long as I want. Though I know you're curious and don't want to be here."

'Hum.. huuum. You get me.. oh, ahem.. then I want to reincarnate.'

'Hmmm... *sigh* I want power like Dr Manhattan, let's call it Genshi Genshi no Mi. It has its limitation and I don't want to be a blue overpowered humanoid-like, so I stick it to fruit like in One Piece.'

"Oh, you meant your physical body? I agreed but your authority here will be limited since you chose this."

'Doesn't matter to me if it is limited, all I want to do was live again in a different world.'

He didn't even get to finish his thoughts as he vanished in front of the Man that has been talking all by himself.

"Children please be quiet when eating your meal.

*Lean* *whisper*

I don't know why but since it's come to this get ready to accept the deal with the gangs. We'll provide them with children, not below 8yrs of age, may God forgive us *sigh*."

In a mansion that housed many children we're, they are abandoned, forgotten and being taken care of, was happily eating their food. This was a rare occasion for the Madam of the house to see the children filled with contentment. But because of their low food supply and the increased criminal activity happening outside, she had no choice but to keep doing this and move on.

Every month a child or two will be placed at their doorstep, leaving it to them to take care of. This orphanage was funded by a rich individual but because of the city's situation, a year later not even a jenny funded them.

This continued for a month until a random Gang leader whose gang was 2nd most powerful in the city, funded and protected them with a condition ofc.

5 years later, the orphanage was still in operation providing the children with basic education like reading, writing and stuff. After they enter at the age of 9 they will be "adopted".

"Ummm Ma'am, how is Oliver?"

A child asks the adults as it was worried about a child named "Oliver".

"He's doing good now Nina-chan, now go back and eat so you can visit him."

"Okay, Ma'am."

'Where the F am I? Ugh, I feel so weak, my.. holy, my arms are thin. Is this the feeling to be reincarnated the first time? It's like back to level zero with a buff.'

"Ummmm, Hello? Hello Oliver? Can you hear me? You've succeeded and my guess is correct. Don't worry no one can hear me other than you. I won't delay any longer, so be sure to enjoy your moment."
