CHAPTER 2

Meanwhile on Earth,

Year 2027 Month 7 Day 7,

Place: Vignesh Higher secondary school , Uttarakhand, India

It was rather a very big school . It had a very spacious playground which had no sand, It had every learning amenities one could think of , It was located in a rather accessible location considering Uttarakhand is a hilly region. From the school one could see the entire town of Balka down under as the school was located on a highland. The school from the outside looked like an elite school. It looked like Hogwarts at once glance but not quite.

Class 11-B , 3rd floor

It was a bright and a good looking classroom. Maps hung from the wall, it was equipped with the latest technology, and the colors looked chic. As this was an elite school , students looked like they were from an elite family. Nothing less to expect from a private board which came up in recent years in India and claimed that it was going to be the best educational board one had ever seen.

The teacher was going on and on with his mathematics stuff while the students except a few were doing their own thing. The last benchers especially were in their own world and some students were even using phones!!! Even though it was restricted to do so during class hours.

We then see a boy of age sixteen sitting by the window side. His name was Karthikeyan which meant the god of war. It seemed like he was a rather decent looking boy. Definitely some one who could be considered above average and not so special or so thats what he thought. He had Purple eyes, Was about 188 cm , had dark black hair and his skin was white thanks to his Iranian- Baluchistan origin from his father side. Also his uniform was ironed neatly and had no wrinkles.

He was sitting on the third row from the door and on the third bench and was rather looking dull. In fact his entire class was bright and only he was gloomy.

"The concepts sure are starting to get harder and harder day after day" Ranted Karthikeyan , "I wonder if I would be able to pass the first semester." His 11th grade study was divided into 4 semesters.

His parents would scold and skin him alive if he didn't meet their expectations. But just as he was going on and on about his worries---

SUDDENLY—

*BOOM* *BOOM*

It was a very loud blast and surprisingly It didnt rupture the students's eardrum. The school shook like a dangerous earthquake had hit it. Students shouted and some told that probably it was a bomb blast. But there was no way the school would have shook if it was a bomb blast. Terrorists had risen in number in India ever since the 2020s started .

The weather started to change and it seemed the foggy weather outside was gone and now what remained was a clear sky with strange pinkish-orange colour Surrounding it. Some of the students including Karthikeyan ,started to look outside the window and what they saw thereafter shook them completely.

It seemed like a dome of some sorts was nearing them and was getting closer and closer every second. It seemed like everything that stood in its way would mercilessly be gulped upon and there was no way to escape it . Everyone Panicked, were shocked and didn't know what to do. They thought some kind of alien species were invading them and they would be destroyed without any trace. Some due to the simultaneous ominous events just began to cry for their parents.

Karthikeyan just looked at the dome with curiosity. He had only seen stuffs and events like these in novels and comics. "What is that dome thing" he muttered to himself.

Soon enough , the dome slowly started approaching them and then at one point it just went through them . It was like entering a very big bubble, a weird feeling he knew and the students started to feel some weird sensations hitting their bodies. Everyone was shocked. Karthikeyan also felt some weird feelings in his body.

10 minutes went on with each person causing utter chaos. They wouldnt heed to the teacher 's instructions to stay calm and sit at one place. They went on chattering and discussing the possible reasons behind the phenomenon.

Some of the rugged boys even began to man-handling the male teacher with glasses to let them out , who in turn refused to as he didn't have any orders to do so. The students began to act childish and did stuffs without thinking twice.

The teachers started to discuss among themselves , some came rushing along the corridor to keep themselves updated.

Then , an announcement came—

Each class was equipped with a speaker from which a voice resounded .

" Umm… Everyone this is your principal speaking and I would like all of the staffs to assemble in the auditorium immediately and would ask the students to calm down and take their positions and wait for further instructions, while we teachers discuss it among ourselves. Please try to understand and to be straightforward even we dont know what's happening and hopefully its nothing serious and of course we are keeping ourselves updated with the news"

The students naturally protested and wanted the utmost protection if anything were to happen.Some students began to look outside the window and thought of jumping and going home where they thought they would be "Safe" but once they saw the height at which they were , they just gave up.

The teachers finally managed to calm down the students and assembled in the auditorium which had a big screen running news on it.

The staff room and the office room was resounded constantly by the worried parents calling to see if everything was ok at school.

Karthikeyan just couldn't wrap his head around. He tried listing everything he had read in web novels and novels of sort. He tried connecting the incident with EVERYTHING I read. This kind of thing did happened but it could be deciphered in many ways and he wasn't just sure which was right. Not excluding every possibilities , he calmly waited until the teachers gave further instructions.

The remaining students who had their cell phones began to surf the internet themselves while looking for answers.

35 minutes later—

The teachers began to go to their respective classes except few who stayed on as per the principal' s request. It had been 50 minutes since the incident and still a clear answer wasn't given to the students who deserved to know the truth as they thought.

"Well students" Karthikeyan's maths sir began " Its nothing serious I believe and even if it was something serious don't worry because this is a world phenomenon and the developed nations would surely look into it , Im sure" The nerdy teacher with glasses told the class once he reached it.

" This is the answer that you will tell shamelessly tell to the students huh? loser" Told the rugged boys. Well it was childish but this was the only moment where they could harass the teacher without getting into consequences . Knowing that, they took pleasure in it.

"Students please calm down" requested the maths teacher "I know it has been near to an hour and even I'm just like you, clueless in this matter". He wasn't paid enough to do this and cursed the school in his mind. " These devils" he thought

While they were arguing , Karthikeyan and the other students were feeling some weird tingling feeling in their bodies again. It seemed like some sort of power was circling the and touching them. It seemed like they were getting stronger.But it was just an illusion. "Wait a minute" Karthikeyan thought " It feels like I'm getting stronger and I can sense my surroundings well? what kind of illusion is this? Is this the effect of the dome? Is Illuminati conducting some experiments or something on humans ?" he thought of multiple reasons but couldn't settle with one.

The students again started sharing their thoughts on this. Even the rugged boys were taken aback and started pondering to themselves.
