45 Retreat In Defeat (Pt.3)

Alaric's eyes open as the sounds of whispered conversations fill his ears. Almost everyone has calmed down since the events of the siege. Taking this brief moment of rest as a way to stop their mind's from shattering. From what Alaric can hear, the conversations are mostly about the dead and grievances for those lost. No tears are being shed as the deaths of the poor souls lost in Faerdham have not been fully recognized by the refugees as they're still in shock. 

Alaric looks to Lucian peacefully sleeping as Iris warms him with her thick fur coat. Lucian's eyes are shut tight as he sleeps. He seems to be embroiled in a nightmare of some sort. The thought of a 10 year old boy having such terrifying dreams saddens Alaric.
