Chapter 1 - Neutrino Dara and Ruby Rose

Neutrino Dara had always wondered what the outside world was doing as he put all his effort into comprehending The Realm of Gods. Wondering should he check after this last millenia being alone, should he? Always having this thought in the back of his mind along with the count of his comprehension sessions, which would eventually lead him to godhood.Ignoring his wandering ideas and concentrating on the vague and mystical fog, which blocks his sense from reaching the end of his seemingly infinite journey to godhood.

Although he has had doubts throught the centuries, he continued probing the fog with his senses. As he explores the mist trying but failing to remember the count he had for the amount of times he has entered and exited. He notices a sparkle of red zoom past the periphery of his senses. Seeing as he had been distracted and missed an opportunity to make progress he decides to meditate and empty his thoughts before comprehending again.

This time before his meditation Neutrino decided it'd be better to remember his comprehension session count, which turned out to be 1,821,351 and this includes his earlier session. Finished with that he begins emptying his mind leading to a state of emptiness, for the same if not more times than his comprehension sessions. Neutrino floats in an empty void when he notices a couple of red roses floating in his mindscape musing about their origins he wills them closer only to hear a bang, thud, bump, all at seemingly the same time followed by rusling.

As Neutrino exits his mindscape and begins to open his eyes to a girl seemingly in her teens around 14 years-old adorning a red hood, a black long sleeved, battle skirt dress, with red fringes at the end of both the sleeves and skirt, and dark red leggings. Black military boots, highlighted in red, and tightly tied with red laces. Having been surprised by Neutrino the little silver eyed girl starts to scoot back frantically with all four limbs. Giving him a little heartache, he shouldn't be that scary right?

As Ruby explores the forest of The Patch near her house after finishing school and getting to free time. While taking a turn she notices a tree with an overly sized hole between the roots a few meters from the trunk. Catching her intrigue she stops using her semblance right next to the hole that seemed to go on forever, knowing there is no animal or grim who would dig something like this got her excited at discovering something new.

Being careful to not lose her footing as she looks down into the hole thinking of a way she can explore and not get her dress dirtier than usual, she is startled by a beowuld grimm not too far from her position. Losing her footing on the roots of the tree as she tries to get battle ready Ruby goes headfirst down the hole. The beowulf losing sight of the target goes up to the hole and taking a sniff before running away all the while whimpering and mewling about something.

As she is going down Ruby ponders about stopping herself and going back to the surface but figures she may as well explore whatever is below. They may just be some ruins that hadn't been explored before, which could hold some wealth she can use to upgrade her baby or there could be new and undiscovered minerals to play with. The longer she fell the more excited she became at the idea of some seemingly long forgotten ruins of a time with no written history. After what seemingly felt like hours she finally feels an airflow from below her which confused her as this should be underground.

The farther she fell the stronger these winds became, from a soft breeze into a gust that could pick up some dirt. While it slowed her fall she couldn't guess what could cause such winds this deep into the ground. After a few seconds she felt the ground below her nearing so she readied herself to land as best as possible, which wasn't very well as the landing was a piece of sloped dirt ruining her cool hero landing pose. With a bang, thud, and bump she finally stopped, while shacking her head and trying to get up from the floor she freezes at the sight of a man.

The man who she spotted could be seen sitting in a Lotus position atop a platform raised a foot from the ground, he had on a set of black and white robes adorned with flower designs, which looked like something a Mistralean would be wearing. A pair of sharp eyebrows and deep black hair with shades of blue at the tips. While staring at his handsome face, which caught her off-guard with how pale his skin seemed to be, although it fit his image. While she was staring the man began to open his eyes and she got a look at the birth of 2 blue suns as they bore deep into her soul itself. At the same time she started to back away from this person who was Oum knows how deep underground in a room with walls that pulsated with a white color from their cracks.

As she backed away while looking into those 2 suns she noticed he was simply looking at her and hadn't done anything yet. As she jumped to conclusions about this mans identity, her mind was intruded upon as she heard a masculine but soft and warm voice speak to her.

[Hello there little red, you seem a bit lost to have stumbled into my humble abode. How did you find yourself in this home of mine?]

Gaining her wits while also being weirded out at hearing his voice but not seeing his mouth move she began rapid firing questions towards this mysterious person.

"HowareyoutalkingtomewithyourmouthclosedandwhyareyoulivingdowninthisholewhereOumknowshowdeepweare."(How are you talking to me with your mouth closed and why are you living down in this hole where Oum knows how deep we are.")

Neutrino stared at little red after he asked her a question she began to rapid fire words at him which he barely understood. Luckily his brain having been forged by his soul could keep up with the little red and her questions, although he would rather his question be answered. As his last human interaction was with his long gone family may Oum rest their souls. He decided to speak normally for her as humans seemingly lost the ways of magic and Soul Forging from a time long gone from his observation.

"Well little red I had been using my soul to communicate directly with your conscious, and I've been down in this hole since I had left my home to embark upon this journey of mine. Now how about you answer my previous question? After all I've not seen anyone in a long time and would like a good chat."

As little red began to think about how she would answer the question. Nutrino thought to himself that it seemed this little girl has her soul protecting her body but hasn't forged her body with her soul. Although a pitiful amount of soulforce compared to him she had a lot of potential to reach higher realms.

Before continuing on to his next train of thought he is interrupted as little red began to answer him, "I was just out exploring the woods near my house and noticed this hole next to a tree between it's roots. While I was standing on the roots a beowulf caught my attention from the treeline so I was going to get battle ready, which ended in me missing my footing on the roots and going headfirst down here! Although it sounds dumb now that I think about it."

As Neutrino took in what she said he heard her say something about a 'beowulf' which he had never heard of but, he decided to not show it on his face as a millenia has passed and anything could happen. Also learning about his home becoming accessible by the surface through a hole which was probably breached by the roots as he was sure he didn't make it so wide. Noting that this little red had little combat experience meaning she should still be in-training.

"Well then, it seems you are a ball of energy little red. Although we should introduce ourselves before we forget. My name is Neutrino Dara and I am a man on the path to godhood"

Neutrino looked for a reaction to his declaration but little red seemed to ignore his comment about godhood focusing more on the fact that he called her a ball of energy and butchering his name.

"Hi N- Neu- Neuterino Deara..."

"Stop, let me help you with my name little red, It goes (New-tree-no) first name and (Dar-a) last name, now say it with me."

"There you go little red, now introduce yourself, we have all day."

"My name is Ruby Rose and I'm training to become a Huntsman at Signal Academy, which is where my sister also goes to and she will be graduating soon. I like using Scythes as I was trained by my Uncle Qrow who is a teacher at signal, in how to use them, and this is Crescent Rose my baby!"

"Well then, that is a fascinating weapon of choice you have. Usually a scythe would be used by farmers to cut down fields of grass or grain. I can also see that you love it a lot."

Neutrino took in that load of information and made some connections. 'It seems there are combat academies training kids how to fight, but what they are fighting is the question and that 'beowulf' is the answer.'
