Chapter 45: I Never Want to See You Again
I sobbed in his arms. "Edmond, you've changed. You're no longer the person I fell in love with."
I raised my head. Through my teary eyes, I saw a serious face. He wanted to say something but hesitated. I reached out and touched his cheek. He had also lost some weight. The edges of his face were more distinct.
I sobbed and said, "Edmond, you've never treated me like this before. We are mates, right? I promised to give you a baby, but why are you doing this to me? You've changed a lot! You don't love me anymore! Or have you always been lying to me?"
My voice became sharper and I could not hold back my anger anymore.
I was in a rage. This man was saying that he loved me, making love to me, and torturing me at the same time. I pushed him away violently. "You're only interested in my body and the child inside me. You liar! You lied to me!"
