After what felt like an hour of driving, we finally reach our destination. The man in glasses left on his own, leaving us with the woman he was with. Like him, she also wore a suit, only her suit was black rather than white.

"Right this way." The woman says, bowing her head to Charlotte. I still have no idea what's meant to be happening, but I stick close with Charlotte as we're soon escorted inside a room.

The room was much more confined than the room we had back at Lisa's place. There is a window, but all I see from it is just a wall or another building. However we do have two separate beds this time from the looks of it.

"How long will this take this time?" Charlotte's words leads me to believe that she's done this before, relieving some of my worries as we both look towards the woman.

"All depends on you. But this time it's three jobs, so feel free to use this place in between missions. Once it's all done, I'll escort you back to Major Frigg."

"No. You're to take both me 'and' Shiro. Got it?"

"Yes, of course. I'll be sure to let him know." She says that before handing some documents to Charlotte, which she takes without a shed of concern. I take a peak over her shoulder, but all I see is a bunch of scribbles, but it seems like Charlotte can understand it as I watch her eyes scour over the contents of it. There's also a picture of someone on the paper, but his head is covered in a hood, only half his face was visible.

"Do know that you are meant to take the girl with you as well. Do try and train her to the best of your abilities." And with that last comment, the woman leaves the room, leaving just Charlotte and I in the room.

"Haahh!~" With a heavy sigh, Charlotte sits down on the bed, going over the papers once more, flipping through them one by one. I gently sit down next to her.

"So, what's happening?" I decide to ask what all this is about, which prompted Charlotte to look my way, her smile nowhere to be seen.

"It looks like an easy job, which is lucky for us. But still..." She doesn't sound happy in the slightest, which makes me try and sooth her by gently grabbing hold of her hand. I know I'm being bold by doing this, but after doing this a few times now, Charlotte doesn't seem to mind.

"I wanted you to enjoy life for just a bit longer..." She mutters those words to me in a soft manner, clearly upset as there's not a hint of a smile on her face.

"I might not understand, but if we do whatever this is, we can go back, right?"

"Y-yeah, we can. But this will surely affect the world you see..." How I see the world? Up until recently, Charlotte's been the one to show me the world.

"I want to see the world how you see it."

"Shiro..."

"So please, don't worry about me." I squeeze her hand gently, trying to solidify my words, not looking away from her in the slightest. And in the next few moments, Charlotte begins to smile once more, albeit just a little.

"I think you're asking for the impossible. How can I not worry? Do you know what we're about to do?"

"Nope! But if I'm with you, then I don't see a problem."

"...Pfft!" I wasn't trying to be funny, but Charlotte suddenly starts to giggle in front of me. "Hehehe. Alright. Thanks, Shiro. I feel a bit better now." I realize now at this very moment that I also feel myself smiling after seeing Charlotte happy like this.

"Okay. Well, I'd like to start with the easiest out of the three, which will be this." She then shows me one of the papers, the same paper that had half a man's face covered. "He's a wanted criminal and his current whereabouts are unknown. We know the general area though, so our job is to take care of him, dead or alive."

"Wait, we're killing someone?"

"Yes. From the information we have, he doesn't have any accomplices or body guards, so it should be a relatively smooth job. He might even follow us willingly if we find him." So is this the reason why Charlotte had me kill those creatures before? I know that she was trying to train me to control my powers, but could it be that she was also preparing me for this?

"Hmm? Shiro? What's wrong?"

"Killing someone..." I feel like it's a lot different than the creatures. I think maybe in the future, I'd be fine with it, but when it comes to other people? I don't think-

"It's okay. I doubt it'll come to that, but if it does, I'll handle it this time, okay?"

"Wait, so you're going to kill him?"

"Yes, but only if it's necessary. I'd also like to avoid killing him. So just try and watch what I do and follow me closely, okay?"

"Okay."

I'm still a bit nervous about all of this, but now that Charlotte's mood seems to have been lifted, my nerves are a lot more manageable. So I'm just meant to follow Charlotte and pay attention to what she does, got it!
