3 Azure Mech Academy

Tian Jie changed into his uniform which was a navy blue suit and pants with a white button shirt inside and a navy blue tie with a small button which had his school ID print. He quickly stuffed his textbooks and homework into his backpack and ran to the bus stop with 30 seconds left. Public transportation like buses was run by AI and since busses had its own personal lane it was never late.

Another kid who was standing at the bus stop turned around and laughed at Tian Jie "HA, Han Sen did you wake up late you look like crap. Your hair is a complete mess."

Tian Jie looked through his memories and remembered this was Han Sen's only friend Linley Mullens. They have only known each other for a couple of days because High School only started a week ago. But they quickly became friends after learning both their parents are from the Mech Corps.

Unlike the old Han Sen, Linley Mullen's gene level is insanely high and his ability to control mechs is one of the highest scores this year. When they both sat down into the bus Linley asked: "So what profession did you chose to pick? I decided to be a Mech Pilot."

Tian Jie responded causally "Since my Gene level is absolute garbage but I still want to be related to Mechs I decided to become a Mech Designer!"

Linley nodded his heads and said, "When we graduate and when I get my Pilots License and you get you Production License your Mech will be the first one I drive."

Tian Jie rubbed his noes and said: "Of course mine is going to be the first one you drive, and it will be the only one you drive for the rest of your life."

For the 1st week of High School, they teach the freshmen about the different professions they can train in and after the first week, the students chose which career path they wish to take. Certain careers like Mech Piloting have certain requirements like having a high Gene Level.

The bus finally reached the school and the two said goodbye before going to their separate ways. The button on his tie was a student ID and when he entered the classroom for Mech Designing and Forging it automatically signed him up for the class. Mostly everything in the world is wireless or run by computers making human lives easier. Since all of humanity was brought together all the unnecessary funds used for running individual countries could now be funneled into different projects that better humanity.

Tian Jie chose the desk on the top right corner of the classroom. Slowly the entire class started to get filled and the bell rang telling the school class started. The teacher soon walked into the room carrying a ton of books in his hand. The teacher was wearing a lab coat and under the coat was a t-shirt saying "Mech's are Cool!" The teacher dropped the books on the table, he then turned around and turned on the whiteboard projector and wrote his name, "George Palmer".

The teacher again turned to his class and said "Hello students my name is Dr. Palmer. You have all decided to take the career path of a Mech Designer and Forger, now I want you to understand the complexities of being a Mech Designer. The art of Mech Design is something far more amazing than simply putting parts together and forging a Mech. Every Mech you forge is something Humanity depends on the fight against the interstellar invaders. Every Mech you forge is the lifeblood of the pilot and every time they use your mech they are directly depending on you. The pilots are heroes of humanity and no one would dispute that, but Mech Designers and Forgers are also a part of that equation. Now if no one has any questions we will start our first lesson by understanding the anatomy of the human body and the limitations we can set on the mech's."

Dr. Palmer pressed a button and the desks started producing tablets. Dr. Palmer smiled when he saw the shocked expressions and said "These are your textbooks, all the classes you take will store the textbooks in this one place and so as long as you don't lose the tablet you don't have to carry around those bulky books. Even homework is done on this tablet so you do not have to carry any papers around. It also has other functions that other classes will talk to you about."

Tian Jie looked at the tabler at started rapidly going through his Mech Designing and Forging textbook and activated his Divine Eye. One of the Divine Eye's abilities is it uses Soul Energy to capture the information on the pages and store it in the brain. So every page he flips, it takes one blink at the page to memorize everything.

So before class even officially started he was confident about passing the test for the Production License. But anyone could take their time to memorize the textbook, the most important thing was the experience designing and forging a mech.

After the Mech Designing and Forging class was finished the next class was Self Defense class or as Han Sen used to call it, the Torture in Hell.

Tian Jie walked into the class and saw Linley talking to a group of people and walked over to him.

Linley saw Tian Jie walk over to him and introduced him into the group "Hey guys this is my friend, Han Sen, he father's name is Han Sheng the..."

Before Linley could finish another kid wearing glasses finished it for him "Han Sheng? Commander of the Mech Corp 2?"

Linley grabbed Tian Jie by the shoulders and said "Yup, he is doing the Mech Designing and Forging Class. He said that when we both graduate his Mechs are the only one I will use."

A girl randomly walked towards the group "Han Sen? I remember you from middle school? Weren't you tested to have a trash gene level? So I guess you decided to give up. I mean your dad died and your grandfather disappeared so I guess it doesn't matter what job you take up."

Everyone suddenly turned towards the girl who said such vicious words and frowned, although they barely know this boy he was friends with Linley who was famous in the Mech Pilot class and so he couldn't be a bad person.

Tian Jie looked into his memories and saw that this girls name was Airel, she went to the same middle school as Han Sen. Ariel was the class president and for some reason, she tortured Han Sen by giving him after school chores like cleaning the classroom or getting water for athletes during practice.

Linley was about to defend Tian Jie when the training coach walked into class.

"Hello Students, my name is Coach Alisa and I will be teaching you martial arts and Gene Transformation techniques."
