Chapter 4b. - The Promise with the King of the Wind

The throne room was magnificent, sculptures and roots decorated the gigantic room.

But my attention was now fixed on the king before me.

I had read stories about dragons and odysseys about them. Actually I'm a big fan of the Viking movie that ride dragons , but they had nothing in common with that, they denoted superior intelligence and the ability to transform at will, I honestly felt very small in front of the king, but apparently they were seeing me as a threat of great magnitude.

I ventured to ask a question, as apparently the king had no intention of speaking, -"Excuse me dragon king." Could you tell me what am I? And why are you so afraid of me? -

He opened his mouth and after analyzing it for a moment he spoke. -Call me Roslarb, without honorifics if you are so kind, and regarding what you are. Speculating and after seeing your physique you are human, but your magic skill surpasses the elves, its power exceeds that of the dragon clans, the quality of it is purer even than demons, what are you? That question… I expected to be answered by you. But I suppose that is not possible. Tell me White Halo where do you come from? –

The answer left me in awe, I suppose that being stronger here imposes some respect… -Ro... lar... Roslar, I come from a place where dragons, elves and demons, even magic is part of the imagination of people, where you are part of some book and there are only humans.- I answered

-Roslarb with b at the end, then… are you telling me that you come from another world?, this is something unheard of, maybe… you could be part of some invocation rite, tell me White Halo, did a circle with runic symbols appear in your world before you appeared here? - Asked while he was sitting on the floor.

Fearful of being rude, I sat across from him, and replied -Yes, a strange purple circle appeared, and Elliot tried to get me out but that thing absorbed us and a white light separated us and I ended up in this place, tell me Roslarb would you help me look for Elliot, he is everything to me and I don't know if he is all right- tears welled up and I looked down with embarrassment.

Roslarb transformed into a dragon and with a *snap* disappeared in front of me. I got up and looked around to locate it when I heard a roar.

TO THE WHOLE KINGDOM, I ORDER YOU TO HELP OUR GUEST GO AND SEEK ALL OVER THE TERRITORY, LOCATE A HUMAN AND BRING HIM TO MY PRESENCE, IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU FIND HIM AND KEEP HIM SAFE.

Explosions and war horns were heard almost instantly and Roslarb reappeared with another *snap* in front of me in human form.

"Little White Halo, I'll explain what I know," he said as he sat back down on the ground.

-It's posible that your partner can't be located here, I just send a search but I am sure he is in human territory, the runic symbols you speak about, are a human invocation, but there could be only one explanation for this.- He commented lowering his gaze and before asking him something he said:

- Summoning can be successfully performed when the "Great Fall" approaches, that's when the barrier between our worlds is broken and war breaks out to choose the new gods, humans, elves and beasts face us demons, dragons and ghosts, blood is shed in the name of the Gods and they bless the world that has won the war, it is a sacrifice to be made for the prosperity of our lives, if war is not waged, our world falls and the blessing of light and prosperity you see in our vegetation is lost and the land of demons becomes again a butchery for supremacy and tyranny-

- So… will I be able to see him when this great fall happens? - I asked hopefully.

-White Halo! help us save this world and we will do everything in our power to find your partner. I swear it under the gaze of the "Mother Dragon"- and with that he broke one of his horns and offered it to me with both hands. -My horn means my fidelity to you and the honesty of my promise, it cannot be broken and it will be under the law of my god the "Mother Dragon"- he added.

I was stunned, there was a lot to process but he said he would find Elliot, and if I have to save this world to reach him. I would happily do it twice.

I reached out and took the horn of the Wind King Roslarb.
