"You know it," Irene finally said. Luca didn't say anything, his hand put down the files after he read all of that.
"I told you not to meddle with my people," Luca said, his voice getting cold any second as his eyes finally found Irene.
Irene felt like her heart was going to stop when she felt the air around her suddenly gone. She squeezed her trembling hands and tried to calm herself. She was glad that she was seated or she would have to embarrass herself by slumping down on the floor just because Luca was staring at her.
He was as terrifying as she remembered. Even when he was still a boy, Irene sometimes thought that Luca was strange. Sometimes he didn't act like the other kids. He was mature and the cold in her eyes just made Irene shivered.
