"Where are you going? You have not drunk your medicine yet." Louis heard his wife's authoritative voice behind him as he tried to sneak into the kitchen's backdoor while her attention was on the pot above the stove.
Unfortunately, she seemed to have eyes behind her head as she caught him leaving. "And you have not finished your breakfast." Esme continued, making him stop his steps before he could hold on to the doorknob.
He had every intention of eating everything on his plate. The last thing he wished was to irritate his wife by ignoring the food before him.
However, his eyes saw a glimpse of someone out of the kitchen's windows. And he needed to have a chat with him before he left. He believed it was imperative.
"I can do that in a while. But I need to catch up with your grandson." He reasoned but did not elaborate on the details. Moreover, he did not have the time to explain to her.
