Truthfully, she thought he was a nice guy, a real gentleman.
But he was too nice.
"Do you think I offended him?" Thalia could still hear it in her head what she had asked him.
She could not believe men like him still existed. But it could all be an act to lure women and fool them into submission.
However, her instinct told her that he was the real deal. She remembered how she enjoyed every minute with him, not feeling a single bit of threat in his presence.
"I doubt it," Jules answered, but she was slightly skeptical since her friend admitted that she barely knew Roger.
Jules had met him a few times through her husband, but her friend could not say she had gotten to know him very well.
