What happened to him the other night had nothing to do with that woman? His friend was conjuring this stupid idea that had no basis.

"Thalia?" He appeared surprised that her name even came up. "What about her?" However, deep inside, he could not deny that her image had been popping in his head more often than he would like.

Travis could not ignore the attraction he felt for her. And he did not even bother to hide it. But she was not interested as she kept rejecting his advances.

Therefore, he concluded that his obsession with her had to do with the challenge she presented. The more she pushed him away, the more he wanted to have her.

He believed it was like dangling a carrot in front of the donkey. The more he chased after it, the more it got out of his grasp, and the more he found himself frustrated.
