A Contract to Marry the Cold-hearted CEO

A one-night stand that should not have happened. A perfect night that had gone wrong. Was it fate or a mistake? Jules Morgan was just like any other girl. She dared to dream of marrying the ideal husband and living on a white picket fence. But such was not her luck when she found herself in bed with a stranger the fateful night before her wedding day. She had given herself to another man. Due to guilt, she ditched her groom at the altar, leaving Dale with a note that the wedding was off. She believed she did not deserve a good man like him. As if that was not bad enough, after a few weeks, Jules discovered she had conceived a child from her transgression. Now, she believed she had reached rock bottom. However, she was mistaken. That was not yet the worst part, as she uncovered the identity of her father's child. She knew right then she had to escape him. He could never know that they had a child. Besides, she did not have the heart to hurt Dale again by parading another man's child, especially this man's child. She left everything and attempted to raise her child alone. She was doing fine until her child ended up in the hospital in critical condition. She needed a large sum of money that she did not have. She had no family and barely had friends. She had no one. Except for Damon, the father of her child. She guessed desperate times required desperate measures. But what if he wanted more than she bargained for? *** "A child..." He looked at her with contempt. "You dare to tell me that we have a son." Then, a bellowing laughter echoed in the room. "I am telling the truth. And Oliver needs your help." She knew naming her son might help convince him. "He is very sick." "I am not a doctor. I can't cure him." He said philosophically, obviously mocking her. "I don't need you to treat him. I need your money." She blurted due to her frustration and desperation. The last thing she wanted was to reach out to him and ask for his help, but she had no more choices left. "Finally..." His eyes stared at her, making her feel like they were drilling into her skull. "... we are finally getting somewhere." "What do I get by giving you money?" He asked after a long silence. She looked at him dumbfounded. "You get to help your son." She shouted angrily, infuriated with the heartless man. She still could not understand how she ended up sleeping with him. If she had been only sensible that night, she would never have slept with him, not even in her dreams. "I don't even know if he was my son. For all I know, you could have slept with another guest that night." With that said, her hand swung hard toward his face. The contact was swift, causing her to wince from the impact, feeling the pain in her palm and fingers. But she could not help but wonder if she hurt him when he hardly moved. "Damn you!" She finally found her voice as she turned to leave. She did not need him or his money. She just had to find another way. "Not so fast." Suddenly, he grabbed her arm and yanked her back into his side. "Don't you want to hear my proposal," He added with a vicious smile. "I will give you the money you need and more if you help me with one thing." "What?" "Marry me." Chapter 21

His gaze traveled across the room, watching the intoxicated girl sleeping on his bed. It was not what he had in mind when he offered to help her.

However, she passed out before saying anything else, leaving him no choice. But he guessed this seemed to turn out better than his plan.

"Hmmm!" He thought in the darkness, seeing her silhouette from the small light that passed through the window.

Damn! She was indeed beautiful.

And honestly, she looked innocent.

However, he would be a fool to believe her lies.

He knew her kind. He could never trust people like her who used their charms to extort money from those who would be stupid enough to fall for their lies.

"And you will never hurt my brother." He mumbled as he drank the remaining scotch in his glass. "Not under my watch."

He thought of his naive brother. Dale was too trusting. Unfortunately, his younger brother never learned from his mistake, repeating the same mistake over again.

Damon remembered his ex-fiancee, Tessa. If not for him, his brother would have married that social climber. She did not love him. She was only using him to get into their social circle.

"You are just like Tessa," Damon whispered to the sleeping woman, lying just a few meters away from his position. "I just have to name your price."

Tessa was easy. He just waved a piece of paper with a number with a series of zeroes. And that was it. She happily broke up with his brother.

He believed his brother was better off with a broken heart than marrying a bitch that would only use him for his money and connection.

"So, Ms. Jules Morgan, what is your price?" He asked as he refilled his glass with another half full of the brown liquid while thinking of what he would do to her.

He heard that Ms. Morgan's father was having some crisis in his company. It was a small business. But he could assume it was their sole bread and butter.

He also knew about her mother's extravagant lifestyle. He discovered how she spent money left and right, despite their family's dwindling budgets.

Therefore, he could only conclude that this young woman was desperate to find a new source of funds to sustain their way of life.

Maybe a six-digit number would be enough for her to stay as far away from his brother. But he could also resort to other means if she refused to be reasonable.

"Or..." He stepped closer to the bed, scrutinizing her features a bit closer. "I can destroy you and your family." He uttered with contempt as his eyes sharpened to the beauty before him.

He knew her type. She used her body to lure her prey. And once he took the bait, she sank her claws and teeth in him, sucking her victim dry until he had nothing else to give. Then, she would leave him to look for someone better.

"Ohhh!" Then, he heard her moan as her body began to stir. Gradually, he watched her hands move until they rested on her head.

He did not know what possessed him. But at that moment, when he accidentally looked into those doe, big eyes, he could not seem to look away.

It was like their swirling depths trapped him inside. No matter how hard he tried to look away, his eyes ignored his commands.

"Are you alright?" He did not know what possessed him to ask that question. Usually, he did not care much about his partners.

But seeing that she seemed to be in pain had him worried. But he did not want to put much thought into it. He just felt responsible for her since she was in his room.

Besides, he needed to gain her trust so it would be easier to negotiate with her about his terms by morning. Hopefully, he could deal with and get rid of her before the wedding started.

Then, she would be gone for good.

But instead of leaving her alone, somehow, his arms, hands, and fingers, with a mind of themselves, had moved, crossing the boundaries that separated them.

"Damn!" Her skin felt quite soft to his touch, creating a scorching heat on his skin. But instead of being burned and staying away, he felt a strong pull that drew him closer.

But he had a perfect explanation for his reaction to her. He was a man, while she was a beautiful woman with a stunning body, judging from her flimsy clothes.

Despite his aversion to love, he would admit he could not help if he found some women attractive. And despite his arrogant nature, he was not immune to his needs.

"You have such beautiful eyes." He heard her speak so softly that he almost missed her compliment.

Somehow, he took that as his cue to move closer.

He believed that was an open invitation for something more as his fingers traced the side of her jaw until his thumb played with her lower lips.

The reaction he saw in her eyes was enough to ignite a fire inside him. Without needing more encouragement, he lowered his body until he could feel her body against his, her quickened heartbeat and labored breathing.

Then, with one swift movement, his lips covered hers.

He knew he should stop. Kissing this woman was not part of his plans, but his body seemed to lose control as he began wanting more.

"Oh! Ahhh!" Her moans did not seem to help, as she appeared to want this as much as he did.

Then, her hands crawled underneath his shirt, tracing a pattern on the lines on his chest. The feel of her fingers gliding across his muscles ignited a scorching heat that seemed to consume him.

"You are killing me." He breathed through her hair, smelling the intoxicating scent that he started associating with her.

Something in him warned him to stop, nagging at him that there was something about her that did not feel right.

But his body was already beyond the turning point. Stopping was already out of the question, as his needs dominated his reasoning.

"Damnit!" He declared as he quickly peeled his clothes, removing hers as well.

"Fuck! I can't stop!" As he moved on top of her naked body.

He could not explain his action at that moment. It could be the alcohol. Or it could be his need to teach this woman a lesson. But whatever it was, he had already lost sight of what was right or wrong.

"Don't stop!" Truthfully, that was not what he wanted to hear from her.

He wanted her to say no.

Deep in his mind, he wanted her to stop him.

But she did not.

With one fast and intense movement, he thrust into her. He took what she was willing to give.

Thanks
