"What are you doing?" Damon asked as he tried to get out of his friend's grip. "Let go of me." He shook off his friend's hand from his shoulders, knowing his friend was making fun of him.
Travis immediately strode to his side and started examining him, checking his head and pinching his cheek, acting like he was a lab specimen.
"Who are you, and what have you done with my friend?" Travis asked, acting more like a fool than anything else.
But, of course, he would have reacted the same way if Travis was in his shoes. He did sound like someone else had taken over his body.
The old Damon would never do what he just did. He would never act so carelessly and stupidly because that was what he just did.
"Stop it." He did not need this. It was the reason he did not want to share that part of his life with them. He knew they would never understand.
