Last day!
Jules did not know if she should rejoice or be sad about it. They were about to leave the following morning and returned home.
It would be nice to return to what she was used to. However, she felt like she would also miss this place once she had left.
"Mom..." Her ears could hear his voice, but her thoughts floated with the birds flying above the branches and through the skies.
She would probably miss the enchanting view of the mountains, knowing once she returned, she would only see tall skyscrapers instead.
Then, she would not wake up to the relaxing sounds of the birds chirping outside her window. And she could already imagine the stinky air of the city, comparing it to the freshness of the breeze that passed through her hair while they rested under a shaded tree.
"Mom, are you even listening to me?" Finally, small hands tapping her cheeks brought her back to her energetic son, who grew increasingly impatient.
