Free Candy?

"I'll be trying to obtain the blacksmith subclass before we get to the second floor. If you need help with something, message me ok? I'll teleport right to you." I say informing them of my plans for the day.

"You can teleport places now?!" Sally questioned me, surprised.

"That's great!" Maple exclaimed.

[Gate]: Saying a location or name and will put a white circle under you for 5 seconds which teleports players to that location.

"I can use a spell named [Gate] that allows me to teleport to a place I have been to or directly to a player. Other players can go through them too. If I use the spell while in combat it has a chance of gating directly to the Abyss though." I tell them while they look at me in amazement.

"Alright, we'll notify you when we reach the boss room or something pops up," Sally tells me as she carries Maple on her back and leaves.

"Bye, Maou!" Sally shouts to me.

"Cya later!" Maple waves to me.

"Bye!" I wave back to them.

After five minutes of searching the town, I found a short old NPC.

He had a frail small body, white stringy hair, and pale skin.

(This is where the quest is.) I think while walking up to him.

"Hello there young lad, want some candy?" He asks me.

"Hmm, what kind?" I ask the old man

"Just follow me into this dark alley with little to no room for you to escape if anything were to go wrong." He says while guiding me.

(Well, free candy is free candy.) I think to myself, not bothering to doubt the old man.

I follow behind the man and he points to a bowl on the ground.

"Go ahead, pick it up and take what you want," He tells me while slowly pushing me forward.

(Why does he sound like a predator? Not like people can really pose a threat to me…) I walk over to the candy bowl and use my telekinesis, lifting it into my hands.

The moment I touched the bowl, a magic circle on the bottom of it began to glow red as my surroundings began to warp and I was teleported out of the town.

There we were, in a room that seems to be an office.

There are all sorts of strange things and collectibles, yet all organized. Things exotic animals, expensive paintings, and even masks decorated the dark red walls.

And in front of me is a crimson-colored door with gold outlining and patterns on it.

"Welcome to the underworld." The old man tells me while transforming.

His eyes and skin became red, his hair no longer white but black and full, his frail and short body replaced with a muscular well-toned body.

"Allow me to properly introduce myself; I am Lucifer. I am looking for a successor to continue my lineage, and you happen to fit the bill." He tells me as he walks into a door, gesturing me to follow behind him.

(So we're just gonna act like you didn't just kidnap me? Ok then, that's fine.) I think as I begin eating the candy out of the bowl still in my hand.

I follow Lucifer into the door and what greets me are a bunch of demons.

The moment Lucifer steps into the room, silence follows immediately.

There are maids, butlers, guards, and more here, but what caught my attention was the long table in front of us with people sitting there.

The only empty spaces are the ones at the front and end of the table.

I sit at one of the ends, directly across from Lucifer, and observe the others at the table.

I see demons, NPC, and other players. I could estimate nearly a hundred people here.

[Side-Quest: Beat up everyone!]

Yuck, cannon fodder! Beat them! Run them over! Just kick their ass already!

Quest Conditions: Beat the contestants!

Reward: [Uber upgrade x1], [Snap magic x2], [Blacksmith super class]

[Accept] [Decline]

(It looks like instead of the blacksmith sub-class i'll be getting a super class for it? Well, I guess I'll wrap this up before meeting up with Sally and Maple.) I continue thinking as I accept the quest.

"Today I have selected you lot as candidates to become my successor, and become part of my lineage. That being said..." Lucifer informs us before snapping his fingers.

A small portal opened up in front of all of us and a paper tied to a small golden chain fell out of it.

"Let's keep this from becoming complicated, you will all fight each other for these tags. Win and you'll be my final successor. If you lose… let's just say that's something you don't want to happen." Lucifer says with a devilish smirk and his chin resting on his hands.

"You may start anytime, and until half the tags are collected this will not end. Only one may survive.." He says while snapping his fingers, and vanishing.

(That spell was definitely [Gate], but how can he do it without a long casting time? How does he even have the spell? Maybe he'll tell me more after I decimate everyone here.) I think while upgrading my classes to ultra necromancer and ultra illusionist.

This is because I forgot to do it last night.

After upgrading my classes, I switched to Abyss Walker.

"Well, as much as I'd love to play with you cuties, I must take my leave." An NPC sitting at the table said as he snatched someone's tag and huge bat wings opened up as he flew away.

"Arrrggg!" The unsuspecting player who's tag was snatched began to melt and give pained screams as he clawed his hands into the table.

"How dare you attempt to destroy royal property, the sentence for you is an unknown excruciatingly painful death!" A guard shouts as he picks up the melting player and drags away his melting body.

(Looks like I can't use [Ignis], or anything that would destroy the area...damn, this is going to take longer.) I think while looking at the rings I got from Maple and Sally.

I see someone stand up from the table and begin to talk, let's see what they have to say.

"Hello everyone, I think we can all tell by now the way to win. However, I think if we all work toge-" The person rambled until I stood up from my seat, interrupting them.

You know what, I don't feel like hearing a speech.

"Look, I know you have something to say, and I know you didn't get to say it so I'll get right to the point," I say as I look him in the eye with a serious expression, gathering the attention of everyone at the table focused on me.

"Shut the fuck up. Nobody wants to hear it, nobody will ever want to hear it, nobody cares, and the fact you thought someone might care is honestly baffling to me." I say as everyone stares at me in surprise while a few nod their heads and chuckle.

"I've actually polled the entire world, here's a composite of the faces of everybody who wants you to shut the fuck up," I say, then take a look at the faces around the entire room.

"It seems as if this is a composite of everyone on the planet, interesting," I state, placing my hand on my chin with an amused look, nodding my head.

"Hahaha" everyone laughed at him and some even pointed fingers

"How dare you, insolent!" He shouts while dashing at me, charging up an attack in his fist.

"I'll be getting rid of most of you here," I state as I see multiple players and NPC flee, while some others choose to stay and fight.

Tags are snatched as the ones with their tags lost melt slowly.

"You're looking like a big buttery biscuit!" A demon says while looking at another demon.

Some form short alliances with each other and dash away from the main hall.

However, before they can all leave I use the skill [Paralyzing Shout], causing even the onlookers and people escaping to hit the ground, paralyzed.

The demon who charged at me falls right in front of me, and his body lay flat on the ground like a pancake.

"Fuck you!" The demon shouts while looking at me with hateful eyes.

"Fuck your father!" I smirk while snatching his tag.

"Gah!!!" The demon shouts, slowly melting away.

(It's been a while since I used my item skills.) I think while my Abyss Walker class gives everyone the feeling of a great, dark, and evil presence is looking down on them.

I then changed my class to Abyss Walker.

[Abyss Walker Skill: Abyssal Scream]: - Scream and curse stack all nearby players and NPC, also combat tags them.

A cold wind brushed on everyone's heart as I used my skill Abyssal Scream causing a purple aura to emanate from their torso, giving them max curse stack.

I began to give off an evil aura as the NPC and some players begged for their lives.

I then follow up by using telekinesis on my Abyssal Greatsword and hop on it, quickly surfing around the bodies and snatching their tags.

(Maybe I could have just used telekinesis on their tags from the start, it would have been faster...) I think while trying to think of ways to save time.

[More than half of the tags have been collected, prepare to be teleported to the final fight.] An announcement message tells me, and every other contestant that has not been robbed of their tag.

"How dare you attempt to attack his highness's Royal Guards! Come here this instant!" One of the paralyzed guards began to shout, his body shook and vibrated at an intense rate.

(I'd rather not…) I think to myself, visibly disturbed.

"I'M GONNA TOUCH YOOUUU!!!" The guard shouts in a deep voice as he begins to shake more.

"Excuse me? I think I heard you wrong." I ask with a confused expression.

"I'M GOING TO TOUCH YOU!!!" He shouts again as foam begins to come out of his mouth.

(...Why do most of these demons sound like creeps when they talk?" I think as I put on a disturbed expression.

A white portal opens up under me teleporting me to a room the size of a ballroom with a few others.

The guy with bat wings is here, and he seems to be looking at me along with the rest of the room, seemingly to have decided to kill me first.

I glance to the left of Lucifer and see a butler next to him, then deciding to ignore such an insignificant presence in the room.

I have more important things to do than look at butlers.

(Besides, why have a demon butler if I can have a monkey butler?) I think to myself.

"Congratulations! Had everyone been at the table by the time you acted, you would have immediately passed, Maou!" The demon butler next to Lucifer said, slightly trying to boot-lick the potential heir to the Underworld.

"Do not call me by that name, you trash," I state in a cold voice.

"Did I say you could speak?" Lucifer tells the butler in an equally cold tone as mine.

"N-no, s-s-sir. I was just-" Before the butler could finish his please, as the man from before, his body began to melt.

A gruesome way to die, something I honestly didn't expect to see in a game like this one.

(I wonder how it knew my real name… The game couldn't have allowed the spread of my personal information, could it?) I think as I feel Lucifer's eyes on me.

"You," Lucifer says while looking me in the eye, applying pressure on me.

My body stays firm and unaffected by his gaze.

"Seeing that you have so much power right now, It would be difficult to tell how you would fare fighting someone at your level, let alone above it. As the candidate with the highest chance to pass, I will temporarily seal off your class skills." He says while observing my reaction to being placed into such a predicament.

(At worst I'll die, it's not like the pain sensors are high enough for me to be in any type of agony.) I think while unnerved.

(Truly suitable, let's see how he handles this…) Lucifer then snaps his fingers and I feel nothing change.

"Begin," Lucifer says as his chair floats up into the air slowly, signaling the start of the battle.

I use the skill [Provoke].

"I haven't had a good challenge in a while, so be sure to entertain me," I state as I feel a bit of myself crave for the feeling I had fighting my brother before I came to this world.

It works due to the skill not belonging to my class, interesting.

"Curse you!" One shouts at me.

"How dare you look down on me!" Says the guy with bat wings who flew away during the first battle.

"You are courting death!" Another player yells at me.

Three red spears lodge themself into my chest, but I pay it no mind and slash the person in front of me in half with my Abyssal Greatsword.

"Argh!" An enemy to my right shouts as I slice him across the chest, then quickly move my blade to block a slash from my side.

As I'm fighting the three NPC, a flail comes at me, trying to crush my face, but I hit it with my Abyssal Greatsword, sending it flying back.

A smile appears on my face as I turn my head to look at my next target.

"Don't get cocky, you're nothing in front of my flail!" A half-rhino half-demon shouted at me as he began to spin around the giant ball covered in spikes, held by a chain.

He launches the flail at my head again with enormous force.

I meet the attack head-on with a punch, shattering it on impact.

"M-My weapon," The rhino-demon begins to despair

I appear in front of him with my Abyssal Greatsword in one hand and bring it down, separating his head from his body.

A giant blade comes from above me and I dodge it by an inch as it hits the ground, creating a cloud of smoke.

"Hahaha, this is what you get for being so cocky, now I win!" The guy with bat wings shouts as he stands on top of the head of a huge golem.

"Let my name strike fear into your heart. I am Batman!" The man shouts at the top of his lungs, his voice cracking near the end.

I use telekinesis on myself and shoot out of the cloud of smoke, heading in the direction of the golems head.

"How!" The bat-man shouts as I bring my sword up above my head again with one hand.

[Aqua Beam]: Pressurised water concentrated on one thing. Once used it will shoot out at jet speeds.

I remain silent as I use a skill from the ring Sally gave me, [Aqua Beam].

My sword is covered in blue light, and it seems my Abyssal Greatsword strengthens my attack by making the move even darker than the light blue blast the lake-fish boss Sally and I fought.

I cleave my sword down and a blue beam from my sword slices both the golem and the bat-man in half.

I try to use Abyssal Leap so I don't take fall damage when I fall down, but due to me being unable to currently use my class skills, it doesn't work.

I then slowly float down using telekinesis and turn to look at Lucifer.
