001 Waking up in Sunagakure (edited)

--POV Rokuro--

My name is Rokuro but my friends call me Kuro. I have long soft white hair like any badass Mc. I have heterochromia with a green left eye, and a purple right eye. My face is handsome enough to where i can be called hot but not drop dead gorgeous like some of those unrealistic fanfictions i liked to read.

Backstory? I died. My death made a god laugh so hard that he allowed me to be reincarnated with some cheats and a system though, i don't know what those cheats are but he said they were some of my favorite abilities from different anime. Which is a pretty wide and expansive category. I feel like I have been cheated out of my system though. Its just a game like window in my mind that displays my stats in a number form.

To be able to use a system and a few cheats from other anime I had to pay a small price of doing a few missions here and there for his entertainment. He said i wouldn't be forced to do anything that would be against my morals and the missions I'd get would give a few small rewards from them, like small stat boosts, money, and an occasional weapon. But enough about my system, lets talk about some other stuff. I'm an orphan. Born in Sunagakure, around the time Gaara is born. I'm pretty happy with where I was born. At least this way I won't have Danzo and Orochimaru after me if I decide to show a little talent. I can go all out!

I'm very bored right now, I'm just a wee little baby in a crib in the orphanage and I can do naught but move my small arms and have uncontrollable bowel movements. The most entertainment i get is the window i can see if i prop myself up against the side of my crib. So begins the process of pooping, sleeping, eating, people watching, rinse and repeat for the next two years of my life. Ill spare you the details as my life is just like any other newborn baby.

--Timeskip-

I'm eight years old now and joining the ninja academy. The children were ecstatic to have their first day in Ninja academy. After all, what child doesn't want to be a cool ninja throwing out flashy Justus and taking out people that might harm the village, gaining fame and glory, wooing the people with your amazingness.

"Ok kids! Settle down and sit in your seats. My name Is Akihito and I will be your sensei for the next five years. You may call me Sensei. Today we will start with spars to gage your skills. I do see some clan children here so don't disappoint me. First up will be- He says some random children I don't bother to remember their names. I'm scanning the class to see if i can find anyone from the anime and i spot them. Gaara, Temari, and Kankuro Sabaku. As I'm looking at them I hear my name called. "Yes teacher?"

"You're fighting Gaara Sabaku." I gulp as I'm nowhere near being able to fight this child. Even with my chakra rods I don't think ill be able to fight him. All of a sudden my system popped up.

Become Gaara's first friend! He deserves love in this world too.

Rewards: Better manipulation of chakra rods. +1 to all stats.

--Flashback no jutsu--

I awoke on my fifth birthday and i could feel something underneath my skin. My chakra was bustling, like it was excited. I let it do what it wanted, and to my surprise, my first cheat had appeared. A chakra rod, kind of like the ones pein used. But i felt they were different. Mine were more malleable, and didn't do as much stuff as his. But they drained chakra albeit slowly, that was very, very useful and im sure it can be upgraded later on.

Training is actually quite fun. You wouldn't know it but the feeling of gaining power is exhilarating, amazing, addicting even. If you discard the constant muscle tearing to make them stronger. Using the chakra rods are so much fun! I'm refining my taijutsu through the training and getting better and better.

--Flashback no jutsu, reverse--

Well, ill give it my best it can hopefully make me stronger. I walk up to the arena and cant help but notice that the children are looking at me with sympathy, and at Gaara with disgust. I have no words. The anime didn't do him any justice, he is absolutely an adorable little cinnamon roll even with Shukaku inside of him. I look at Gaara and he notices i don't have the same look of disgust in my eyes that the other children's parents molded into them.

"Alright, Gaara was it? Lets have a good fight!" I say as a grin breaks out on my face. I may be nervous as fuck, Cuz he is an absolute unit in terms of power even right now, but i think it will be fun to fight him. At this point, the other students including Temari and Kankuro are stunned. Gaara smiled. And not a creepy grin, a Full on genuine smile. He was hoping that maybe, just maybe, he can finally have a friend. He wills the sand around him to form small fists, and i seep my chakra rods out of my skin

--Teacher POV--

'What? I thought he was just a clanless orphan. What are those black rods? I've never seen that Kekkei genkai before. Is it new? And whats with the monsters smile? Monsters don't smile do they? At least not genuine smiles.'

--Gaara Pov--

'I feel ecstatic! I may have finally found a friend! Just maybe, will i be able to be happy. Though right now we are doing a spar and i feel the need to be wary of those black rods. They feel dangerous like they shouldn't exist.

Little did gaara know it was Shukaku being wary of the rods which also makes gaara feel wary.'

--Rokuro Pov-

I charged at Gaara. I didn't want to hurt him so i made the chakra rod into a mace of sorts. I swung the rod at Gaara's sand wall and to my surprise it broke like wet paper. It hadn't occurred to me that since the rods sap chakra they would take the chakra out of his sand and make it useless. I went through his sand wall and knocked him down with a quick jab to the face. The instructor stopped the spar there for fear of Gaara getting angry and letting Shukaku do as he pleases.

--Teacher Pov--

''That kid broke the monsters sand wall like it wasn't even there. I'm looking at the other two Sabaku children and they are shocked as well. It was a good thing to stop the spar because i guess this had never happened before.''

--Gaara Pov-

'What just happened? did i get hit?' I touched the bottom of my jaw and it stung with a dull ache. I looked up to see a hand sticking out. 'My sand isn't attacking him or trying to keep him away from me so it means maybe he is trustworthy?' The sand always protected Gaara. Against his will sometimes. But protected him no matter what. Everyone was shocked that my sand wasn't attacking this boy. I grabbed his hand and he gave me The warmest smile I've ever seen in my life.

"That was a fun fight Gaara. I wasn't sure if my chakra rods would Be able to do anything against your sand. Wanna hang out after class? it'd be fun if you want."

Before i knew it, tears were falling down my eyes. I had gotten my first friend! The first person who didn't look at me like a freak, who would lose control any second. Like someone who would kill them for simply breathing.

"Oh shoot im sorry! Did i do something wrong?" Kuro panicked

"Nonono, I'm happy. Yes! lets hang out after school!"

"Sweet!"

Temari and Kankuro were shocked. It was the first day and Gaara had made a friend. They must tell their father. They never thought that the mo- their little brother could do anything but kill and hurt people.
