Assassinating Arix

After she finished explaining, Drexel was quiet for a moment before speaking, his voice tinged with doubt. "So, you're saying this all happened because you were making a potion?"

"Yeah, Grandfather's illness is pretty severe, so making the potion was a bit tougher," Arix admitted, avoiding eye contact. She didn't dare mention that she'd used her own heart's blood in the process, which had actually caused her collapse.

If they found out, she knew she'd be in serious trouble.

Thankfully, Drexel let it go. He just sighed and gave her a gentle pat on the head. "Next time, give us a heads-up about what you're doing. You really scared everyone this time."

Arix nodded, knowing he was right. Then, with a mix of concern and curiosity, she asked, "How's Grandpa? Is he okay?"

"Grandpa's still asleep, like you were, but there's nothing wrong with his body," Drexel said.
