~~~(Location: Penthouse, Gaming Room)~~~
~~~(Time: 2:51 PM)~~~

I've been practicing with the team for the last month, but I'm looking forward to The Summer League. My first game is 3 days from now, and apparently, the arena is sold-out. Nice to know so many people want to watch me play a Summer League game.

Ellie and Hannah are here, but they're busy watching TV in the living room. I'm having a good time in my gaming room. The Penthouse we've got has lots of rooms and plenty of space.

As much fun as I'm having, I want to spend some time with the important people in my life. So I shut off my console and make my way to the living room. Hannah smiles as I enter the room, and she makes room beside her on the couch.

Now that I'm out here, I can smell the food Ellie is cooking in the kitchen.

"It's nice to see you out of that room for a change. I feel like I haven't seen you in days."

Girls don't like video games, and it's not because they're boring or stupid. It's because games take all the guy's attention. A girl couldn't dream of getting as much attention as a game does on a daily basis.

That's why girls hate video games.

And that could be an inaccurate observation on my part. But that's just from how I've seen it. There isn't a reason to hate video games. Unless it's taking something that you deem important to you away.

That means a boyfriend to a girl.

"I wasn't in there for nearly that long. I've just been kicking back a little since I'm practicing with a team on a regular basis. It's been fun, and I've learned a lot about my team."

She smiles and wraps her arms around me as she looks back at the TV.

"Well, now I've got you. And I'm not letting you go until I get the attention that I'm due! I'm a great girlfriend for letting you play games all the time!"

You let me play games?

Let?

No.

That's like saying you let me play basketball. Or you let me use the bathroom.

But now that I'm thinking about it. If I'm thinking like this for video games, maybe they do have a hold over me... That's something to think about.

Games are as important as using the bathroom?

I don't think so...

"Then I'll give you all the attention you'll need to get through your tough life."

I give her a gentle squeeze, and she lets out a giggle that turns into a laugh.

"That's what I'm talking about! Momma needs her sugar!!"

Ulysses and Hannah are taking some quality time together, and now that Ulysses is in the next part of his life. I think it's time that I get out there and start dating. I haven't had a boyfriend since I started taking care of Ulysses.

And I'm a beautiful young woman. Who has given up a lot...

I deserve a hot piece of ass!!

"Ellie! We're leaving around 1:30 PM tomorrow to get to Las Vegas! We'll be staying there with the team for the next 2 days until the first game and remain there until Summer League is over!"

That's a lot to shout at me from the living room. I make my way out of the kitchen and look at the two on the couch.

"Will you be on the plane with us, or staying here?"

I don't want to miss any of Ulysses's games.

I'm hurt that he'd assume otherwise.

"I wouldn't miss your first game for the world. Summer League or not. I'll be coming with you to Las Vegas for your first game, and I'll be at your first NBA game too."

All the Summer League games are held in Las Vegas, Utah, and San Fransisco. So we'll be back on the West Coast until the Summer League is over. And that means readjusting to accommodate for jet lag.

"Awesome, I'll get ahold of the team and tell them I'm bringing two with me. I'm glad that family and close friends are able to fly with us."

I'm glad about that too. I'd be pissed if I couldn't be there, and I'd never forgive the Knicks Organization.
