8 Chapter 8: Memories of Parting

months later after Jam's death we had to say goodbye to Mark, as he was apparently called back home at another country. Though before Mark parted he gifted us a matching bracelets, it wasn't that expensive, its just a normal leather bracelet, with a blue and red stone decorated in the middle.

"So you're really going man?" I asked with a sad tone, as I watched my friend who was carrying a big back upon his back.
"Yeah, Sadly we must part here as I have been called back by my folks to return as soon as possible"Mark replied with a sigh.
"Well miss you Mark, I wish we could do things more like we used to."Ren said, tears already started pouring out of his eyes.
"You guys dont have to be that sad, Well see each other again alright? This is not a permanent parting. It is merely a temporary one"He replied.
"Oh and here,A parting gift for the two of you"Mark continued before handing Ren and I, a leather bracelet with red and blue rocks in the middle.
"This here, is a bracelet that I made which signifies our bond. Look I have one with me too!"He said before showing us a matching leather bracelet he is wearing, with a yellow stone on the middle.
Ren and I then wore our own bracelet, mine having a red stone while Ren's a yellow stone.
I then looked at Mark and Exclaimed "Friends for a day!" before being followed by the two as they exclaimed"Brothers for Life!"
We three then bumped our fist with each other before raising it above to the sun, which somehow made the rocks of our bracelet shine a bit.
the three of us then had a group hug before transitioning our arms towards each others shoulder and laugh, with Mark at the middle.
"Take care Mark, May all our paths cross someday."I muttered before Ren followed with. "Mhm! If we meet in the future, lets go camping once again!"
""Yeah!!""Both mark and me replied.
Then we broke our formation and there, Mark started walking towards the Ship, admist our Goodbyes.
"See you again Mark!"Me and Ren exclaimed which Mark heard as he made a salute to us before continuing.
While me and Ren just stood there watching as Mark Boarded the Ship.
*Sigh* "Lets wish him luck on his travel Ren" I said which was accepted by Ren.
"Aight! Its sad that Mark had to go but at least well still be happy yeah?"Ren said with a toothy smile.
"Yeah man! Lets just enjoy our life to the fullest!"I said as we started walking towards the bus which would take us home..
at that time, I didn't knew that the most devastating thing would happen towards my parents a month later.

It was a may 20, 3 days after my birthday which Ren and his parents attended, and of course my Aunts,Uncles,Cousin and Grandparents attended. Ryuuko is 19 was 20 at this time. while Ren was already 16 and this day was when i turned 16 too.
we already celebrated Mum's 45 birthday at the first of may at Japan where Met Futarou once again and hang out, just the three of me, Fuutarou and my cousin who has a crush on Fuutarou Ryuuko.
Oh how surprised i was when i saw Fuutarou's new look a few years back, and when i asked him of his new looks he replied with "Well, I just met someone who changed my life at Kyoto"
I asked with a teasing voice."A girl perhaps?" which Fuutarou only answered witha nod before blushing for a bit.
Ryuuko saw Fuutarou's reaction, and Seeing his blush, she was devastated and thats how Ryuuko's first crush ended.
Though it never changed our relationship we three were still close as friends do.
Continuing it was Friday, and mum and dad went to North America using a private plane.I was Just reading a book about the legend of Atlantis, a book previously owned by Mark. When my phone Ringed.
I picked it up.."Hello?" I asked...there was a bit of a silence before Granma's Sobbing could be heard..
"Grandma? whats wrong?" I asked her.
which was replied with "Yuriko...Yuriko and Mat.. They...*sob* they Disappeared, possibly crashed"
As soon as I heard that, The world stopped for me. I dropped my phone before waking up and hurriedly asked her if it was true.
"Grannny, Dont Joke around, Are they Fine?..Where are they?" I asked with a stuttering voice..Only to be met by sobbing.
Which made me feared the truth...So i turned the T.V on and saw the news.

Breaking News: A private plane carrying 2 passengers, disappeared after their flight towards north America, it was Theorized that the plane Crashed at the Pacific Ocean. And a rescue operation was already deployed at this hour.
Yuriko S. Del-Rosario and Mateo R. Del-Rosario who are married are two Interpreneur who was on board to a plane towards North America for their business.
But the airport lost contact with them in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, Authorities Are Confused because no part of the plane has been seen on the Pacific ocean

Seeing the news confirmed it, which left me stunned in place as I Looked toward the T.V,
My Phone keept ringing as People called it...
I then heard a knock on the door and the sound of Ren's voice woke me up. "Zeke?*Knock* *knock* Are you there man? can i come in?"
*snif* "Yeah, man wait a bit.." I sead as I wiped of the tears from my face before i went towards the door and opened it.
An lo and behold, Ren was there with a worried look on his face.
"Hey, man....I saw the news...Did Uncle and Auntie really ride that plane?"He asked with apprehension is heard in his voice.
"...Yes.."I replied.
"Oh...Im sorry man, for your loss" Ren replied with sadness.
*snif*"Yeah, You dont have to apologize...Oh! You can come in by the way.."I said as my tears started to fall once again, I then invited Ren over which he agreed and entered.
"Alright man, Ill stay with you."He said.
"Thanks..."I replied.
"Of course! were Brothers right?"he replied.
"mhm..." I hummed before sitting on the floor, my back on the wall..
Seeing how I was acting, Ren walked into the kitchen before coming back with a glass of water.
"Here man, drink this.." He offered me the glass, which I accepted.
*Gulp* *Haah* "Thanks...."I thanked him, after gulping down the water.
"...." The roomm became quiet once more.
as i just sulked on the corner of the wall while Ren was looking at me.
"Did they find the Crash site?"Ren asked suddenly.
"...no.."I replied.
"Did they find some scraps of the plane then?"He continued
"no..." I replied once again.
"Then! maybe they are not dead!" Ren then looked around and saw the Book Mark had about Atlantis before continuing.
"Dude! Maybe they got to Atlantis?? Like how Mark Described it. He said that Atlanteans sometimes saves Planes whos about to Crash near them right??" He said enthusiastically trying to sound happy to make me better.
"Dude... Atlantis is in the Atlantic ocean, and my parents Crashed at Pacific...And besides Atlantis isnt even real....But thanks for trying to make me feel better"I replied with a low voice.
But Ren didn't give up..."What if, Atlantis was actually at Pacific Ocean and not Atlantic and they just did that to confuse people??
Or even if it's at Atlantic, Theres a passage in Pacific towards Atlantis??" He said
"I already said Atlantis is not real man....Dont...Dont give me false hope.."I muttered, as I borrowed my face in ny ankles.
"Thats not True man...What if it was real? Dont give up, Just like Mark told us..."Ren said.
"I know.....I wanna be left alone for now..."I muttered.
".. Alright man... I'll go home, Remember tho, im still here kay? "Ren saod before standing up from the chair and walked out.
Hearing Ren's footsteps getting farther away, I finally looked up, Tears filled up my face i then muttered.."Mum...Dad ...Please be safe...I wish What Ren said is real.."
Before going back to my sobbing...I then fell asleep.
Though, as I fell asleep the red stone on my bracelet glowed for a few seconds before it subsided.

Thied person POV

A young man, was sitting on a chair, while looking towards two Older people, a man and a woman, He then noticed that the bracelet he is wearing is turning Orange from its Yellow Color before..
Looking through the bracelet that turned Orange The young man muttered..
"Oh, Zeke...You don't have to worry, as your brother it would be rude to not treat Uncle and Auntie good after looking after Us three"

Meanwhile, as Ren walked towards his house..He was thinking about things that could make Zeke better with his hands inside his pocket.
which made him didn't notice how the Blue Stone on his Wrist Turned Violet for a bit, before going back to normal.
"Maybe get him a Pet? like how he gifted me Jam?...I remember him mentioning he held a hedgehog once and he found it cute...So maybe a hedgehog.... alright! it's decided! Hedgehog for his gift!" Ren Muttered

Zeke POV..
First person view.
*blink* As i opened my eyes albeit with some difficulty..I noticed that i ain't sleeping on the floor and instead on the Sofa..
So I stood up and looked around, then i noticed a Hedgehog plushie with a letter besides it, so i opened it and read what was written on it.

Yo! Thought that a pet would make you better and i remembered you saying you liked hedgehog so i thought I'd buy you one..Tho sadly i dont have enough money to buy a real one, so i just bought a plushie!

"Pfft....That dude.." I couldnt help but laugh a bit, still im a bit thankful that hes so thoughtful like a real brother..
"What am i thinking...Of course we're Brothers!"I said
Then over the past few days, My relatives like my aunts,Uncles, and cousin went to our house in the Philippines to visit me and mourned with me....
Then after Grandad got in the Philippines we had a funeral Honoring my Parents death...Even if they never found the Body of my parents...Only Ren and I still think that my parents are alive...
The company my parents owned are currently being managed by Aunt Kyouko and Uncle Matt and would be given to me once i reached 18...
Grandad offered for me to continue my education in Japan but i refused, saying that ill finish my current year before going to Japan a year later to continue.
which grandad Accepted before theyall came back towards their Respective homes and I was left in the Philippines... Being Visited every month by Aunt Kyouko and Yuuko along with their husbands and children.
Then I continued going to school here till its done and I had to say goodbye once again with Ren as i am about to move to Japan.
*sigh*"Lets see each other again, Brother"I sad.
"Of course! Brother! Even if we're apart..We could still communicate using our phones! Too bad Mark didn't have one before...But lets keep in touch K?"Ren Said...a bit sad that the three are now going apart but since they could still converse it was fine.
