Chapter 51 - Karasuma Yukiko

"If you really feel curious about many things, why don't you go to school? Isn't that how you can satisfy all the curiosity you have?"

"School is troublesome, after all because of my photographic memory I already know all the knowledge I need up to university level," Index replied. Yukiko Karasuma, a former artist and clothing designer who retired a few months ago due to health problems she had, was worried about her husband whom she had not seen for a long time until a few months ago he visited her in the hospital when she almost died. Due to the ill she suffered

She did marry Hiko because she loved her, but Yukiko's main goal in marrying Hiko was that Hiko's connections and status could raise her career as an actress and designer to the highest level.

That's why she happily married Hiko and even had a daughter with Hiko.

But unfortunately because she because Yukiko loves her job more than her husband and children, Yukiko abandoned Shiina when her daughter was only two years old right after Shiina no longer needed the mother's milk she had.

For nearly forty years Yukiko has neglected her family and is more concerned with her career and the life of luxury that her successful job brings. (Even though for nearly forty years Yukiko has never had contact with other men as long as she is busy with a luxurious life and all the jobs she has because for Yukiko there will only be one man in her life, namely Hiko who she considers to be the manliest and most handsome man ever lived.)

And now Yukiko really feels grateful because it turns out that her husband still loves her even though they have hardly seen each other for decades and only make contact by phone.

Because her husband wants to cure her illness and forgive all the mistakes she has made for decades. Even though Yukiko isn't sure that her daughter Shiina is willing to forgive her just like Hiko. Because since Shiina was two years old Yukiko had never met her daughter at all, and only knew the developments about her daughter from the photos sent by Hiko. And from Hiko's story about Shiina, Yukiko realized that her daughter harbored a great hatred towards her.
