"Are you serious about Issy?",Zeke simply asked Joshua, without any hint of emotion, and I shook my head and let out a sigh from where I stood. I didn't want to let them have any sort of misunderstandings between them, let alone now, when Joshua was still recuperating from his accident , and his dad was in the room as well.

"Yep, I am",Joshua replied, looking at me, and added,"My accident made me realize how uncertain life is, and there is no need to procrastinate much about anything."

I blushed furiously under his gaze and stood where I was, unable to even think clearly.

Elijah cleared his throat and said "Alright now, let's get you fed first,and after you've recovered well enough to be discharged from the hospital, we'll talk then."

I was thankful to Elijah for interjecting in between, and trying to change the topic.

I looked towards where Zeke was, and he looked still cold and brooding. I only wished that I wouldn't be the reason to cause a rift between the two brothers.
