Chapter 38

After I reached home, I went to my room, freshened up and came to Gabby and Aurora's room. They were busy watcing a movie and were deeply engrossed that they didn't see me enter their room.

"Hey aren't you guys bored of watching the same movie repeatedly?",I asked them as I saw that they were watching 'The Notebook' for only the hundreth time if not more.

"I can never get enough of Ryan Gosling",replied Gabby,while Aurora replied,"Some of us can only experience romance through movies like this".

Gabby and I both rolled our eyes at her. She was tall brunette,and had perfect hour glass body, with blue eyes that had many men vying for her attention, but she just didn't seem to give a damn to all her admirers.

Even my cousin,Leo seemed to be taken in by her charm, and here she was lamenting on her lack of romance.

Speaking of which, I hadn't heard from Leo in a long time since we came back so I decided to give him a call now.

"You guys carry on, I need to give a call to Leo and inform him that we've moved in to our new apartment",I told them at which Aurora looked at me and for the briefest moment,I felt like she wanted to say something, but she quickly turned her attention to the movie.

I went to my own room and dialled Leo on his number and he answered after a couple of rings.

"Hey Ace, what's up? Everything alright there?",he answered and I replied ,"Everything is fine here. Just thought of giving you a call and updating you on our moving in to our own home".

"I already know about it. Didn't you receive my flowers?",he asked. So it was Leo who had sent me the flowers. But how did he know the address when I hadn't even told him, I wondered so asked him directly,"Leo, I didn't even tell you my address, just how did you find it out?"

"Aurora told me that you guys had found a place nearby Joshua's clinic and gave me the address",he said nonchalantly as if that wasn't a big news to me.

So apparently, Aurora and Leo were still in touch and I wondered if there was something more going on between them, but I decided not to pry too much on their privacy.

"I received flowers no doubt, but they were from a nameless sender,how was I supposed to know it was from you",I said. "A thank you would have been sufficient Ace",he chuckled.

"Thank you Leo",I said sarcastically and he laughed adding ,"My pleasure Ace, my pleasure".

After talking about everything and nothing, we hung up the call and I went to have dinner. Gabby and Aurora had finished with their movie, so we had our dinner and I got back to do some more work.

I needed to run through some ideas with Zeke so I called him up. "Zeke?",I said as soon as he answered my call. "Issy, everything good?",he replied and I chuckled. Why was everyone assuming that I would be in some sort of problem to call them up?

"Everything is good",I replied and added,"I actually called you about the project. I have designed some flow charts if you like to see and based on that, we can start with the coding?"

"Issy, as much as I love it that you did so much during your weekend, I don't want you to work when you need to be resting",he said sounding serious.

"I was bored, so decided to design the flow chart",I shrugged though he couldn't see it.

"Hmm, ok. Let's go through the project tomorrow, but you can't stress yourself out else I'm removing you from this project",he said sternly and I couldn't help but reply,"Aye,aye captain",which earned me a chuckle from him.

We decided to meet upat the office tomorrow and hung up the phone, and I went to the balcony to look at the night view outside, but sadly, it started to drizzle. The weather out here was very unpredictable, just like my own mood swings I mused.

I didn't bother to get inside the room, as I still stood outside, enjoying the light drizzle but it soon started to rain. I sighed as I knew I couldn't afford to get sick by standing out in the rain and getting drenched, though I would have loved to.

I was now almost three months along now and I had to be very careful to not fall sick myself, so I dried myself and got into my bed to try and go to sleep but my mind was filled with thoughts for Missy.

How terrible it might have been for her to witness her father's death and whether she would be able to ever get over that incident and talk like normal kids her age.

My heart went out to Miley and I wondered what kind of an uncle would Roy be to Missy. Was he a loving uncle or did he not care about her as well, just as he had not cared about me when I told him about my pregnancy.

Just as I was engrossed in all these thoughts, I saw my notification that one of my blocked contacts had tried to call me. I checked it and saw Roy's number on my phone screen, and after much deliberation, I removed his number from my blocked list.

As soon as I did that, his number flashed on my screen again and I answered his call.

"Issy, thank God you unblocked my number",he said as soon as I answered the call. "What is it that you want Roy?",I asked straightaway, not wanting to beat around the bush with him.

"I want to meet up with you once. Its important so please meet with me?",he pleaded and I hesitated but finally relented to his pleading.

"Can you meet me now?",he asked me. I checked the time, it was 10:00pm already, but since he was my neightbour, I agreed to meet him outside my house, wondering what was so importatnt that he wanted to meet me out of the blue.
