CHAPTER 6

There was the nurse of the morning by the door of his ward.

" Please come in ma'am, your husband is refusing to be treated without you."

" Husband! Gramps said and looked at me in surprise, let's go inside gramps,

" Let's go gramps, I held his hands and walked into the Ward.

Zeres laid on the bed unmoving, a doctor stood beside him persuading him to let them treat his wounds.

" Leia, I heard his voice for the first time, it sounded like a black hole pulling me to him."

I walked towards him with Gramps holding my hand.

" I'm here, Zeres why do you refuse to get treated.

" I need you to be by my side, I don't know any of these people apart from you and gramps."

" Does he have amnesia, I asked the doctor beside him."

" According to the test we carried on him, he doesn't have any other injuries apart from physical injuries."

" I looked back at Zeres and held his hands, Zeres these people are doctors and they're here to treat you."

" Now that Zelda is here , you're going to get treated right,"

" Gramps walked closer and held his hands.

I gestured to the doctor to change the dressings to his wounds.

Most of them had torn up and were bleeding profusely.

" It's not going to hurt Zeres, just stay still and let the doctor do his work.

He was injected with anesthesia to make the wounds dressing less painful.

Zeres held on to my hands refusing to let go.

The doctor removed his old dressing and applied another one stitching up the wound that had torn open.

" He had a fast healing ability and in a week or two, he's going to get discharged."

Gramps and I nodded at the doctor even if we were both unsure of what to do after he was discharged.

I held his hands until he fell back asleep.

Gramp's and I walked to a nurse and asked her to call us if anything happened overnight.

We both walked hand In hands I'm the late night to the hospital's entrance.

I'll drive you home Leia, it's already late and it's not safe to let you go back home alone so late at night.

" Alright Gramps, I said and got in the front seat of the sitting beside Gramps.

We drove home quietly and I stepped down from the car waving to Gramps.

I'll come pick you up tomorrow morning by 10 Leia.

His old voice resounded in the dark night.

" Okay Gramps, I'll be ready.

He watched as I walked into the house and bolted the door before he turned to go.

I walked into the bathroom as soon as I got inside and had a cold bath.
