CHAPTER 1

Mom had just died and Dad was devastated, I missed her too, she was the light in our life.

But death couldn't be cheated, Mom's brain tumor had grown large and she does as a result of it.

Three months had passed now since Mom's death and the whole house was tranquil.

I sat down on the Rocking chair outside the yard when received a letter from a postman.

"Good evening here," a voice bellowed from the fence outside.

I took a look at the person there and saw it was a Postman.

He waved his hands at me indicating for me to come over.

I was puzzled as to what the postman had come to our house for.

My Father was taking a nap inside his room, I looked around carefully to make sure it was all safe, I then walked to him.

"Good morning young lady, I believed you're Leia Johnson right?

"Uh, yes I'm, any problems sir "

"Of course not, I just have this letter from the bridgerton university, you have been admitted there."

My face shone with happiness as I received the letter from him.

I had almost forgotten I'd applied for a study at bridgerton university.

Mom's death had hit Dad and me so hard.

"Your signature here please young lady." The Postman said to me and handed me a pen with a book to sign on.

I took the pen from him and signed in a rush.

I had to show this to my father.

"Father, Father, Father, I ran into the house, giggling and jumping happily after a long time.

"What is the matter Leia, my father's grumpy voice acted from the bed where I was jumping all over.

"Father, I've been admitted into bridgerton university, I flung the paper into his hands.

My father took the paper in my hands and opened it.

His face shone the same way mine did, he was happy.

He stood up from the bed and hugged me.

Congratulations to you my Leia, I'm so happy for you.

I giggled in his embrace and patted his back.

"Your mother would have been so happy for you.

I disengaged the hug and looked at him in the eyes.

"Dad, Mom is watching us from heaven right, she's happy for me and she's smiling at us right now."

His face had welled up with tears, I could see them glistering.

"Don't cry Dad, Mom wants us to be happy, do you remember her last words, " Be Happy, that was what she said"

"It wouldn't be good if mom See's us from heaven being sad right now, do let us be happy."

My father sniffled back his tears, holding them in, "Yes my Emma would want us to be happy."

He sat back down on the bed wiping away the tears that had trickled down his face.

"Come here Leia," he gestured for me to sit beside him.

I did as he said and sat down by the empty bed space beside him.

"let's read the letter together."

He opened up the envelope and took out the letter in it.

"dear Leia Johnson, you have been admitted into the University of Bridgerton.

Accompanied by this letter is a residential document for your stay in Bridgeton.

Dad and I read the letter together and took out the document of my residence.

You're to move in by next week Leia, the school session is to resume by next week.

"But father, I can't just leave you alone in Rockville."

"I'd rather not go to Bridgeton than leave you alone in Rockville all by yourself.

"Leia you have to do to Bridgerton, I can't possibly hold you down or discourage you from schooling because I want you to stay here with me."

"It's impossible Leia, I'm your father, and if never do such a thing. "

"but who'd stay with you, while I'm away from you in Bridgeton?"

He looked me in the eye and smiled, leave that to me, Leia, I'll be fine.

My eyes got watery from his talks, his words made sense, and he wouldn't stop me from going to Bridgerton.

I threw myself in his arms and sobbed in his arms.

"I'll miss you, Father"

"I'll miss you too my angel."

Next day

Father and I woke up and cleared the house, as usual, the yard, the garden, and the garage.

I knew I'd miss doing all of these with him so I put in a lot of extra effort in the work.

"you know you don't have to work that hard Leia, you need to save up energy, we're going to shop after this."

I jumped happily at his word about going shopping.

Careful young lady, don't trip over anything there.

Dad and I worked together and soon the work was finished.

"I'll go take a shower and I'll wait for you to take me shopping."

I dashed into my bedroom to take a bath and wait for my father to be done with whatever he was up to.

"Leia, let's go, his voice bellowed from the sitting room."

"I'm coming Father, I hurriedly said to him and picked a pair of pink flip-flops and wore them."

I'll take my sexy old lady to the store today.

Dad had named his car sexy old lady because it was acquired after he and Mom got married.

"Alright let's go, Dad took his car keys and drove to the store.

"Leia, you can pick up anything under $130"

My eyes shone at his words, am I allowed to buy anything I want."

"Yes you're, your pension came in yesterday, and you're my only pretty angel, so yes spend it, just make sure to buy what you'll be needing in Bridgeton"

" You should buy more sweatshirts and pants, I heard it's cold there."

"Okay Daddy, I said to him and ran into the store.

I could hear his small chuckles and the smile on his face when I turned back around.

"I love you, Dad, with that I walked into the store.

Shopping took a few hours as I was unsure of what to buy, every piece of clothing there looked so beautiful and eye-catching.

"Leia, isn't it about time you finish shopping, it's been three hours for goodness sake Leia."

"I'm sorry Dad, I'm just unsure. If what to pick amongst all these dresses."

"I like this and this and this, I said pointing to the clothes on display."

"Alright, alright, I'll let you choose all three."

"The prices are too extravagant, Father,

I'll only pick one out of them."

I couldn't let him spend more money than he already had.

I was going to school in Bridgerton and not for a fashion show.

I picked up the brown sweatshirt and pants then took all the clothes is bought to the cashier.

Dad's card was with me and I took it out to pay.

"Here you go Ma'am, the cashier swiped the card and handed me a receipt."

"Thank you, I said to her and collected the bag of clothes from her.

"Have a nice day miss."

I waved at the cashier as I turned back to go.

Bring a bag, I'll help you with it, a bag was handed to my father who had offered to help carry them.

We walked to the car in unison and dropped the bag of clothes in the back seat.

"We're set to go home now right?"

"Yes we are"

He stepped on the pedal and drove straight back home.

Thank you so much, Dad, I said to him as soon as I dropped the bag.

"It's nothing, sweetie, everything I own belongs to you and you're my princess honey, I've to do it.

I hugged him and took the bags back to my room.

"I'm going to take a nap, Father."

I shouted from inside the room.

"Alright Leia, I'm going to step out to Dan's place."

I gave him an mmmm' reply. And laid my head on the bed to sleep.

On a lone Island in the Yellowstone area of Wyoming, the Lycan prowler's pack existed.

Eyolf was the pack leader, his wife Ash, and his younger brother Zeres were the pack leaders.

"Come here Zeres, Eyolf said to Zeres who had just walked in."

"What is the matter brother, Zeres said and walked closer to his brother."

"I have got some discussions to talk to you about."

Zeres took his seat and sat down beside his brother.

"I'm all ears"

Eyolf stood up from where he was seated and paced around the room restlessly.

"What is the matter Eyolf, you look disturbed."

Zeres stood up and walked to meet his brother.

"I'm here brother, you can talk to me about anything that's bothering you."

He tried to guess what had happened but to no avail.

"Did you and Ash fight"
